Life is not a bland grouping of just black and white, but is a collage of many colors, each contributing to the vast array of the portrait that makes up our lives. In these pages I have drawn from many firsthand experiences in order to paint a visual picture that illustrates a lesson for our daily consideration to encourage and instruct us in our daily walk. I hope you find these pages helpful. Born to an unwed preacher's daughter in the early 1950s, you would think that the odds of having a successful life would have been stacked against me, but just the opposite would be true. The foundation of my grandparents' home and a loving church community would eventually lead me to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that relationship knew no boundaries. I have lived and am living a blessed life.

I worked in the medical field for over 25 years. I love reading but I've been writing since I was a little girl. I was inspired to write this book after I had one of my poems published.

My name is Alma Johnson, I work as a QM administration specialist. My company is AlmaJ Virtual Solutions. My goal is to build a ministry that will reach people through my writing, encouraging and sharing the word of God. My most impressive achievements were to establish my own business and becoming a publishing author. Writing is my hobby and how I spend my past time. This book is a part of my passion to continue teaching children in the city of New Orleans. It is an opportunity to show children all over the world some of the historic landmarks we call home. She attended the New Orleans Public School System and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Dillard University. She returned to school and received her Master's Degree from Xavier University of New Orleans. Like so many residents of the city, she and her family were relocated by Hurricane Katrina. Brandon studied under world renowned Richard Thomas. He was a member of Mr. Thomas Pieces of a Dream Artists. His work has been displayed at Mr. Thomas art studio as well Xavier University of New Orleans. Brandon went on to study at NOCCA (New Orleans School of Contempary Fine Arts). Brandon won third place in the 911 Regional Contest. He received an associates degree in fine arts and is currently working on an advanced degree. Though he resides in Texas, since Hurricane Katrina; his love and compassion for the city he calls home is evident in the illustrations of this book.

This book, "Teachings To Help You," is a bit different from the 5 other books that I have published. I have gone back to the series of teachings which I have done through the years and written a chapter on each of the subjects. I have explained it in a little more detail in the, "Introduction." Each of these subjects is related to helping Christians understand and walk-in the Christian life. Sometimes, teachings can concentrate on the doctrine so much (of course, it is very important) and the individual Christian needs to understand how to put it into practice in his or her life. That's what these teachings concentrate on. Please read these chapters carefully and, perhaps, over and over. My heart's desire is that you are really helped by them and that you even want to share the truths with others. Gloria Hartman was in the pastoral ministry with her husband for many years and was involved in teaching the Word of God. She had her own radio teaching program called, "Girl Talk," on a Christian radio station. Through that ministry, she ended up speaking throughout the area in the Midwest in which they lived. After her husband's homegoing, she was on staff (in a teaching capacity) at a church that friends of her and her husband were pastoring. She has been writing books since her husband moved to heaven. Throughout his life, he has conquered many challenges, and being an Irish traveler was one of them, and through the faith that he has, the love that he gives, and all of his friends, he feels as though he has conquered the world, and gives all of the glory to God... The story is about an Irish traveler, a journey through great spirituality. Faith love and friendship, between many different cultures. It is an autobiography about one single man. Who is now 85 years old, whose goal in life is unification. He was raised an Irish Catholic, and had many friends, to say the least, of every culture. Singing is his passion, even today, at 85 years old he can lift the roof. With his singing. Fighting/boxing was also one of his expertise. So much to the fact, he was inducted to the bare-knuckle Hall of Fame. In 2017. When he was young, he broke a wild horse, and he figured if you can do that you can do anything. After a very strong encounter with the Holy Spirit, it was then that he realized, we are all one body.

This book is a brief commentary on the Bible, written in an informal manner, somewhat conversational. It does not pretend to be authoritative, it is just my comments on Scripture. I was born on the seventeenth of December, in the year of our Lord nineteen twenty-seven, in Selma, Alabama, the youngest of seven. I graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, and was educated in engineering, physics, and mathematics at the University of Alabama and University of Alabama Huntsville. I served in the United States Army Armored Cavalry in 1950, '51, and '52. I worked at various jobs during and before college days, including several months in an iron ore mine. After graduate school I worked as a physicist at the Naval Research Labs in Washington, DC and as an engineer at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. I am now retired and work at nothing but an occasional puzzle, such as Sudoku or cryptograms. My wife and I enjoyed traveling North America in our motor home.

Born in Brooklyn, raised in south side Jamaica Queens. She is a self-made entrepreneur in communication and finance with over 25 years of experience. Susie is a kind and loving individual who always wants to see others progress before her own. Selfless she has endured so much that life has thrown at her only to remain standing and her smile is contagious. She has been an advocate for many in Lancaster City and beyond while working with companies to build portfolios and increase growth. Susie worked with Lancaster Housing Opportunity Partnership for a brief time to educate, instill and help fund first time home buyers because she truly embraced the concept that "Everyone deserves a place called home". And Now, as her journey continues she is eager to complete her biography and documentary that has been long overdue. With many challenges that you and I endure on a daily basis, she walks through negativity, cancels contracts, as she pushes through adversity. Finally, here is her moment of wisdom.
