The common theme seemed to come together as I was becoming a witness to The Faith of the First-Century Church. Jesus gives us a clear example of this faith in the Parable of The Ten Virgins. The five wise virgins lived in anticipation and preperation of the soon coming Bridgroom. The five foolish virgins did not and were locked out. Paul gives us an apostle's view of this faith in 2Timothy 4:7&8 as he writes, "... I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day (Day) - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." In Ephesians 4, Paul instructs teachers and preachers to make every effort to bring about unity of The Faith in The Body of Christ. The writer of Hebrews gives us this definition, "Faith is being sure of what is hoped for and certain of what we do not (yet) see.", 11:1. This is The Faith in The Second Coming and the awarding of eternal life. This fulfills The Promise of resurrection God made to Abraham. It is an error to believe that salvation is awarded to anyone prior to this event. It is a promise until Jesus comes back and can never to be possessed this side of the grave. "I declare to you brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable." 1Corinthians 15:50.

A deadly man made virus that had been locked up and sealed away in a secure unoccupied section of a military hospital is discovered by two medical students who share a single life goal of finding a cure for death or prolonging life. After experimenting with the virus and running several test samples, they find that the virus is the breakthrough discovery they have been seeking. They steal the virus with the intention of further development, and selling it to the highest bidder. Things backfire when they set up a meeting with an interested party. On their way to the meeting, they get into a car accident in which the container holding the virus is damaged, releasing the virus into the atmosphere. Soon, water and food supplies are contaminated creating a global pandemic. The story then shifts to a first person account told by a woman who has been caught in the middle of this chaos, which includes her daughter and two grandchildren struggling for survival behind zombie lines.

A Knight in Tarnished Armor is a collection of memoirs, song lyrics, and poems. It spans over 5 decades and is a representation of my life story. Many people throughout my life have told me that I should write a book and well this is it. It was next to impossible to recall all the dates so this book is in alphabetical order rather than chronological. The two longest poems I ever wrote are on pg.78 and 102 where this one was produced as a song.My first worldwide publication is on pg.37 as it was published in the Alcoholics Anonymous Grapevine monthly magazine both nationally and in many other countries and languages around the world. The poem on pg.134 won a prestigious Emily Dickenson National Society of Poetry award.The song "Ready for War" right after the Dedication at the opening of this book was written, recorded, and produced on YouTube by Ean Leppin who is my general manager at the radio station where I work.
