Konaseema is an alluring and almost-untouched tourist destination lying in the Godavari Delta, in Andhra Pradesh, India. This book showcases the beauty of the land and the lifestyle of its people. Locally called Konaseema, the region is on par with many of Kerala's exotic locations. The book is written as an informal travelogue and captures our experiences exploring the region through narrow roads lined with canals, meandering meadows of coconut groves, and by riding a vast plethora of interesting boats and ferries across the mighty Godavari. We enjoyed and were humbled by our experiences interacting with members of the local communities and familiarizing ourselves with their ways of life and the indigenous cuisine.

The book was conceived and written over a period of seven years. It is a collection of impressionist poetry illustrating the cycle of life from birth to death covering a myriad of emotions and experiences. Elements of nature romanticizing life and its intricacies are an integral part of the collection. The style of poetry has been inspired by poets like Wordsworth and Keat and is flowing with rhythm and verse. It is very visual in its theme and delivery with some pieces being abstract while some very esoteric and realistic.

The book studies the relationship between 'Individual and Family' on the broader sense which is explored in the 19 Caribbean novels are divided into four decades(1950's to 1980's) which contributes valuably to the comprehension of the Caribbean phenomenon of 'identity'. In the Caribbean context (West Indian context), the struggle for 'identity' is in essence, a struggle for meaningful relatedness or the sameness with others as human beings, within a society compelled by history into racial and cultural hybridization on the one hand, and the social, economic and political stratification, on the other. The book focuses on psychological and sociological Caribbean context which is different from usual context of understanding. It studies 19 Caribbean novels of 12 writers - George Lamming, V S Naipaul, Samuel Selvon, Edgar Mittelholtzer, Roger Mais, Wilson Harris, Jean Rhys, Michael Anthony, Merle Hodge, John Hearne, Jamaicia Kincaid, and Merle Collins. The novels of these writers explore the uniqueness of the Caribbean society which is 'the microcosm' of the world.

The story of Suhanto is a social drama about his friends and their journey involves an acute display of emotions, relationships and imperative intricacies of a common life in a country like India. The main protagonist in the story is Suhanto and primarily the story revolves around him and covers integral aspects of human life such as friendship, struggle, success, defeat, giving back, compromises, inter personal relationships and culmination of life. The story involves different shades of a common life as it unfolds. It brings forth some of the imperatives challenges of a human life at micro and macro level and even tries to provide for some answers. The geographic setting of the novel is urban but important characters from rural and western world are also highlighted. The novel would appeal to young readers as they can relate to most of the content. Whether it is the description of a village ambience or a person's struggle to adapt urban culture, the young generation would like it. Also, there are segments in the novel for people in other phases of life, to which they can also relate. The most important feature of the novel is the inclusion of the concept of 'giving back to the society' which can be related to masses. It is a pure work of fiction with traces of business fiction. The story unfolds in the form of narration of past events and some conversations are depicted in the present times. The book is written in a very simple language using commonly used jargon and few local terms and thus will be a literary treat to read and enjoy.
