Rubies from My Dusty Closet is like discovering a treasure chest long wanting to be found. It is the realization of a passionate dream. The name has a literal meaning. It has my favorite poem that I wrote in college long time back, getting intensely touched by the sacrifice of a young soldier who died fighting for his country's freedom. Ever since, any fascinating real-life occurrence steered me to create poetry. During a closed one's suicide, I resorted to writing to deal with the pain. It healed me. It became an addiction I sought shelter in. Extremes of emotion-failure, death, love, suffering, joy, beauty-and universal and human experiences influenced my pen to keep weaving, keeping me whole and helping me survive. I love meaningful poetry with a message-something that enlightens body and spirit and soothes as many times as you read it. I believe my book will connect the world spiritually through a sense of purpose and heal ailing hearts. This book is very special to me or anyone who feels the spirit of life that keeps its chemistry at balance, of what we all will become aware at some point in life.If you enjoy romancing the starry sky on the summit of a hill, Propagate soulful love that becomes immortal, If you value the goodness in life and making others happy,If scarifying gains you mental peace,If you love dearly and believe in love despite unrequited,Endure the pain of losing someone closest to your heart, If you dream big and believe in a fighter spirit,And have shed tears for someone who's parted, If you have been broken badly and striving to heal,This book is for you. Much love, Dr. Javeria Hayat Khan

    155,-

a Normal Indian is a compilation of short stories of young men and women in India who have faced adversity and have sometimes come out strong and sometimes lost. Each story is unique and has been drawn from the lives of Indians. Some endings are full of hope and positivity, yet others are a little sad and despondent. These stories are meant to address social issues in India and also make you think about them. The young India of today is full of pride, beauty, and love, yet it is marred by social evils like female infanticide, dowry, and youth suicide. These stories revolve around these very realities. You may see a little bit of you in them, or someone close to you may be reflected in them. The aim is to highlight what went wrong and have a conversation among ourselves to make things right!I believe that true change in the social fabric of my India shall only come with these small conversations. These very conversations shall lead to a change of heart and mind#ChangeByTalking.Join me in my journey as a normal Indian, a normal Indian who is opinionated and has views on everything he/she sees and faces, a normal Indian who wants change but sometimes is shackled by that very society he/she lives in!Join me!Regards,Malavika SharmaA Normal Indian

  • - The Light of System Philosophy

This book firstly inquires why the basic questions pertaining to the origin of our universe have not been answered so far. Then it argues that there are serious drawbacks in the proposals of scientific cosmology, mainly pluralism and underlying scientific realism. So the search for the most elementary form of matter is elusive. There are controversies pertaining to the mathematical models representing standard model particles, quantum gravity, strings, etc. The philosophical notion of system is a new idea introduced here, represented by the X-Y model of coordinate geometry. Accordingly, the physical world is a matter-energy system, which is the physical reduction of matter-consciousness system of inanimate world. Things exist by the union of opposites. The idea of consciousness in nature removes the conundrum of intelligent designer or God. The book presents the final solution of the cosmological puzzles related to space, time, Big Bang, and multiverse. The dilemmas of great physicists like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking are resolved. Moreover, through system philosophy, this book inventively reconciles the conflicts in the doctrines of philosophy of science. Written in a pedagogic style, explaining all basic concepts, it would serve as text as well as reference for all inquisitive readers.

Need peace and tranquility? Yearning for some time to self-introspect? Looking for words to describe those experiences, which need an outflow? Sometimes, reading words to explain the inexplicable can make the real difference. The pictorial figures made in the mind, clear our thoughts and gives meaning to those deep ways of thinking. The present collection is a bouquet of fifty one poems, reflecting an array of thoughts put into the rhythm of prose. The gentle beauty of the metamorphosis which takes place in life is worth an appreciation. The intuitive temperament of humans is the nature's gift which helps us to delve deep into ideas, feelings and experience them. Cherishing our frame of psyche for situations and fighting the odds is something one must learn, because they are tedious roads which lead to beautiful landscapes. This beautifully worded book would take you to the journey down the lane, crossroads and vision ahead.

  • - William Shakespeare, Rabindranath Tagore and John Keats: on Selected Works of the Legends.
    av Rituparna Ray Chaudhuri

It is not by what he does that he appeals to us, but by what he sees and feels. The book is the analysts prized possession on Literature in form of narrative technique and critical illustration expressing her personal beliefs and disbeliefs on human characters and their respective thoughts prevalent in the society even today: What, after all, is the creation? What is man; a creature fabricated by God; or is he the product of millions of years of evolution... and is he heading towards what we might call superman? or towards his doom?Do Fate and Characters act and react upon each other? The fault, dear Brutus, lies in ourselves and not in stars. The outer story of ambiguity on human life and sometimes his complex personality beyond analysis together leads to another parlance of inner story. As such, it intensifies the character along with his refinement of nature. One of my favourable quotes: Thunder is good; thunder is impressive. But it is lightening that does the work.

This book contains reports on the sport that India fancies passionately-cricket! Matches were covered between 2005 and 2014, and hands-on analyses were prepared alongside following the sport. The author would sit down before a television set and write, write, and write as the competition unfolded on the telly. These reports are a flashback on the golden era of Indian cricket under the flamboyant leadership of Sourav Ganguly, prepared captaincy of Rahul Dravid, and the calmness at the top of MS Dhoni during this time frame.
