Who do you blame for your pain?Is it yourself, him or the thems in your life, or maybe even Him (God)? If you are like me, then probably all the above! When we are in pain, we often don't know which way to turn. This book shares a personal story of the confusion felt during pain, the struggle with who to blame, and the rocky road to recovery. If you can relate, don't worry, you will be allowed to wallow in the anger, sorrow, and doubt for a bit before being shown how to move on and hopefully providing a little comic relief in the process. Though stemming from a story of heartbreak and divorce, this is much more about learning to have a healthy relationship with yourself and God. Through the use of Bible stories, connections are made to women's everyday lives including marriage, friendship, and family. Bible verses and the lyrics to some of my favorite hymns are used to encourage us, lift us up, and teach us of the amazing grace and healing power of God. Questions are posed and journaling pages are provided as a way for the reader to reflect on their lives and relationships, as well as to aid in deepening their understanding of the word of God and strengthening their relationship with Him.

When an accomplished sailor and her parents learn of a viral attack on the United States while sailing offshore, they plot a course for survival. But can they escape the wave of terror that is coming? What started out as a peaceful sailing trip for an accomplished sailor and her parents ends in a dystopian nightmare and a fight for survival in The Last American. Twenty-four-year-old Allison Stenner and her parents are sailing off-shore when they learn of an enemy attack on the United States. With a full-scale viral assault underway, the family is captured in a coastal blockade manned by criminals from maximum security prisons who have been freed, inoculated, and given orders to hunt down, imprison, and kill Americans. With their lives at risk, they plot an escape. But can they evade both capture and a deadly virus? The Last American is more than just a fast-paced thriller. Exploring the possibility that the United States is headed toward a national apocalypse, author Richard Green reflects on 9/11 and considers how on that ill-fated morning, without military assistance, an underfunded group of eighteen misguided souls temporarily crippled the United States financial system and forever altered the way millions of Americans live. A fact that begs the question...could a more sophisticated entity, backed militarily and financially, accomplish a similar event only on a much wider scale, with one last American survivor? Evoking memories of the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the book considers the future threat of biological weapons and warfare. Liberal-minded adults and sailing enthusiasts will be captivated by this unique narrative on the outcome of a surprise viral attack and the destruction of a major world player, resulting not from warring superpowers but rather a much simpler source.
