Guessing that this is not the route they wanted to take in life, sadly, a lot of them end up with ominous ambitions as their goals--not all of them, though.Almost every story in this book takes place in New Orleans, and all legal names of characters have been changed as stated on the cover. The only names that haven't been changed are the street names for certain Gutter Punks. City street names haven't been changed either.I am a sober man today, and as I sat here in a long-term rehab thinking about my past, I asked myself, "What are you going to do with all these crazy, action-packed, macabre tales you've experienced over the years? I know! Tell the world how much fun you had. Also, let them know how much karma can catch up with you for all the atrocious actions you've taken hanging out with today's modern Pirate. The Book of Meditation was developed over more than twenty years of taking notes during meditation and writing down inspiration when feeling the Holy Spirit through prayer and contemplation. I noted during my meditation many times what kind of technique was bringing the best results and, thus, wrote them down to be used or gone over later. Many times, I received a tingly feeling and heard a still, small voice and then wrote down inspiration. After I had decided to write this book about meditation, it is my firm belief that God told me to write this book, and I am sure the name comes from this inspiration. Were it not for this inspiration from God, I'm sure I would have stopped writing many different times. Though I have no great education nor do I have any great standing in society, yet I have received many revelations and some amazing visions. I think God wants us to realize once again that anyone may receive these revelations from God; we don't need to have some great position in church or standing in society, just a sincere and repentant heart, humble mind, and being a diligent person who truly desires to know the Lord God and Jesus Christ. The Lord wants to communicate with us often, yet we in our busy world, need to listen; we need to take time to meditate. Through prayer and meditation, we can communicate with God, but we need to listen after we ask questions in our prayer. We need to wait on the Lord; we need to meditate. Psalm 1:2 states, "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." The Book of Meditation can help with this. I'm sure it can bring the peace and the love of God to many.
