Moreover, blacks are having more problem with the law, the police, being killed by police, more than any other races of people. There are other races of people who are planning and are happy to exploit and take advantage of blacks or black countries all the time... One for example is today in this twenty-first century in 2018. Chinese are taking over a radio station and the police department of the country of Zambia in Africa. What a shame... But for those whites who hate black people and considered themselves to be superior to the blacks, I urge black people to forgive them when anyone asks for forgiveness and let God Almighty to be the judge of man's action. As the systematic murder of six million Jews by Nazi Germany and its collaborators was taking place, Jewish soldiers in the United States Army participated in guarding, healing, and reeducating of some of the four hundred thousand German prisoners of war (PW) held in camps scattered across the United States. History has paid little attention to the participation of Jewish GIs at these camps and the role they played in preparing PWs to return and participate in a postwar democratic Germany. Very little is known about the experiences of these Jewish soldiers that prepared them to go face-to-face with German PWs, some of which were hardened Nazi party members. In addition, little is known about how the tour of duty in these camps affected the GIs' postwar lives. It was fifty years after the German PWs returned home that I found an unexpected gift my late parents left me that became a portal to discover stories of individual Jewish men whose deeds should inspire future generations on confronting anti-Semitism and racism. These men did not feel sorry for themselves being assigned to PW camps, did not request transfers, and embraced the change and focused on the things they could control. They viewed their roles not as custodians or babysitters of prisoners but as role models of Jewish men who were fit, trim, educated, held rank, and wanted to do more than just "e;ride out the war"e; in the zone of the interior. Their stories are about affecting positive change in the PWs' thinking and behaviors. Their mission of tikkun olam-"e;repair of the world"e;-is the subject of this book. How, where, and when they started and completed this mission is unique to each Jewish GI despite them having common basic training in Jewish upbringing and values. It is hoped that this book will inspire other Jewish soldiers who served at PW camps or their family members knowledgeable about their service to step forward and share their experiences. Me and my children suffered the utmost tragedy of being separated over my naivety, and the intentional betrayal of a neighbor I considered a friend. It's about loving someone and discovering you both want something totally different. Our circumstances are not who we are. They are not a direct reflection of our whole being. For anyone who has had to experience incarceration for any amount of time can understand where I'm coming from in two of these poems. It's when the reality of the utter loneliness of being forcibly ridden of the things that are often taken for granted put you in touch with the peace that you can only find within yourself. I also believe in owning my feelings and not allowing others to trample my trust with lies. These writings are a liberation of all the labels, assumptions, and character assassinations that haunted me for so long. The love my mother and father gave me is what I cling to. Even when you may think you have failed, you must keep reaching and know how to grasp opportunity. We all need strength to maintain. This book is a small record of how things were done in a particular time period in the Marine Corps training history. In order to win, you have to put the best team together for that period or era. In the '60s, the techniques and tactics worked for the events that were going on at that time. What didn't work were the procedures we had to follow that were given to us by the politicians who knew nothing about the work we had to do. I'm sure they've changed in the last sixty years and will continue to evolve until they are no longer needed. I mean no disrespect to my beloved corps then, now, or in the future. If I were to criticize their procedures then and now, I would say that back then they took the so-called bad boys and now they want you with no flaws so that they don't have to waste time taking the errant behavior out of the individual in order to put their wants and needs and desires into him. They don't want to do the heavy lifting anymore. We haven't won a war since the middle forties, so I wouldn't know, but I've been told by people who were there that, in the end, it is the individual marine with a rifle and fixed bayonet who closes with and kills his enemy. That takes a bad boy who is used to doing the heavy lifting and the dirty work, but we have special units in almost every branch of the service that are trained specifically to do the heavy lifting and the dirty work. Olivia was a townswoman of Haiti whose life has been persecuted in all aspects. Abandoned by her father while she was only an embryo, a father that had never come across her way, isolated from her mother at the age of six, she was left to be raised by her grandparents. Her existence is marked by many junctures. At an early age, she already knew what sexual harassment is about. She boarded many strangers' houses. In her teenage years, she traveled virtually the entire country from north, south, and central and has seen things that normal teens haven't seen and probably won't ever see in their existence. In her thirties, her husband left her in Haiti with two of her children, after the chaotic presidential overthrow of 1986. Fearing retaliation by an uprising populace, her husband was the first to emigrate in USA because as an act of reprisal toward anyone that had worked for the regime, no matter what your job was, thugs in the streets terrorized everyone (you can be here today and dead tomorrow). In 1987, after passing a long time into hell, in a country still under revolution, she and her children fled to New York. Then ten months after, she moved to Miami with her family, where she made it home in the United States, her adopted country. In 1992, while her life started to recover, her new home was hit by the most violent cyclone, Hurricane Andrew, which had destroyed everything she had amassed. A few years later, her husband left her again to go back to his native land, to stay. This is to ask if everyone that she loves will always find a way to pass as an absentee in her life. Over the following years, many chronic diseases have attacked her body, and from there the fun started, the fun game to stay alive. No one would imagine of what she's going through. She always looks happy, but under the veil of her happiness was hiding all sort of life complications that you would never thought could happen to one person. Her conviction is that she should not complain about herself. In this world we're living in, each of us carries secret onuses. By experience, she realized that people have a habit of comparing our burdens with the other people's. It isn't a fair tactic to support a friend or a family member in despair by associating his or her problem with another. Life is an impartial place for all of us. Don't presume that some problems are less than others. You exactly detain what you can bear oneself and what was predestined to fit only you.

My book is forty years in the making. If you like sex, drugs, and rock and roll, this book is for you. I hope this will bring back happy memories of the '70s, '80s, '90s, and 2000s. I put you and my head as I reflect back to the party days.
