I even tried reading different versions of the Bible like the NIV. I became even more confused because different bibles have different vocabularies and styles. Later I decided that I would read the Bible according to the way that would make me and my sisters understand it after our mother passed away. In reading to make us understand, I found the key to unlock many of the meanings in the Bible. First, I decided to read one Bible: The King James Version of the Holy Bible. I summarized each book into its major lesson: then, I broke each chapter of that book into smaller bits and pieces, sticking to the rules of constructing an English composition paragraph. But instead of using transitions to guide the reader from one idea to the next one, I used bullets for developing each idea. Also, during the summaries of each book and its chapters, I paid closed attention to the English literary elements, which I refer to as the 5 w's (who, what, when, where, and why) and the use of figurative language. These writing processes come to you automatically when you read all texts. Now, I have given you the keys to read more deliberately with the purpose to understand and fully engage with this text and many more.

There are many books covering the rules of golf but very little written on how to be a golf referee (rules official). Most people do not realize that almost all golf referees are volunteers. Sure many of them get lunch or breakfast covered while at a tournament. But very few actually get paid. The comradery and passion for the game of golf are what inspires most golf enthusiasts to begin an exploration of the rules. From there, many want to help with golf tournaments. There is very little guidance other than word of mouth on how to become involved or what golf referees do. Some seem to think that golf referees hang out in the woods and race out in a golf cart to tell a player they incurred a penalty. But on the contrary, we try to help players avoid penalties and be there for them when they have questions to insure they play according to the rules. We also help set up the course (set the tees, mark the course, and choose hole locations) and set up the tournament (notice to players, local rules, starting times, and many other administrative duties). We hope this book provides a different side of golf that might inspire you to become a golf referee.

The title of my book, Rhythm of Life, sums up what life has been like for me, a series of ups and downs, much like that of a roller coaster ride. I knew when I began writing the book how the book would end; however, the process of writing the book was altogether different because I wasn't sure what roads I would be traveling to get to the end of the book, hence the book title, Rhythm of Life.

The main themes include self-actualization, what happiness really means to individuals, the success criteria, positive psychology, resilience, forgiveness, communication, and sharing. It further tells how to live and surmount every obstacle in life with a proactive attitude.

This qualitative study examines the effects of the reduction in available funds resulting from the current economic situation on students with disabilities in postsecondary education. There is little evidence of a study of this nature conducted in the United States, which makes such a study important at the present time. Twenty students with one or more disabilities attending postsecondary institutions, including community colleges, a public university, and a private university, were interviewed with regard to their navigation of postsecondary education during difficult economic times. I found that despite reductions in Disabled Student Services (DSS), the majority of respondents believed they would be able to graduate at their expected date of completion. Although I found that a majority of respondents did not notice reductions in DSS, some pointed out areas where services had been reduced. I found that a significant portion of the research participants were satisfied with DSS. While my findings did not support the original hypothesis, students with disabilities still experienced a level of frustration that may adversely affect their educational, and professional goals and/or quality of life. One conclusion that I was able to draw from this data is that students are not always aware of reduced services unless they are directly affected by them or until such reductions are brought to their attention. Another conclusion I drew from the research is that despite increased adversity at the level of postsecondary education, my respondents were still able to overcome their challenges and proceed towards their educational goals.

This book reflects on the real-life memories of an adolescent boy who had a learning disability and the academic struggles he experienced in high school as well as the teacher who befriended him and helped him overcome such a limitation, thereby changing the adolescent's life for the better in many ways.
