Game Changers is a soul revelation of the journey of the author who has lived both sides of life to the extreme and lived to tell the story. An epic rendition of survival about having it all and losing it all, only to regain something more precious than what he had in the beginning: emancipation of the soul. The autobiography follows the author's life from the perspective of a last-born child born to measure up to his siblings. In his very humble and quiet early years, he preferred to stay under the radar in school and society, especially since he was dealing with coming-of-age taboos and questionable sexuality. The quest begins with seeking acceptance and belonging, and this leads to an older family friend taking advantage of the disillusioned teenager, who sexually assaults him repeatedly at the age of fifteen. Mistaking this sexual introduction for love leads to a downward spiral of depression, drinking, and attempted suicide when he realizes it is just "e;boys exploring their sexuality"e; when his advances are unrequited. This evokes a rebellious personality in him, who ends up having to run away from his hometown to Johannesburg after rumors of his questionable sexuality start surfacing among his girlfriends, friends, and family. Johannesburg doesn't only promise a life of sexual freedom but it also unleashes in him an insatiable appetite for the good life he always dreamt of. Within time, he finds himself in the realm of the rich and famous of South African entertainment and stays with South Africa's singing sensation, Brenda Fassie, at one point. A life of wild partying and drugs ensues as everyone enjoys freedom of sexual fluidity that was en vogue in the '90s. Sustaining this kind of lifestyle can be pretty expensive, and this leads to him being introduced to a life of white-collar crimes, valued at over millions combined. One day he receives news that completely changes the course of his life forever, and at that moment, he vows to go on the straight and narrow and find fulfillment out of life. Later, not only does he have to deal with the death of his best friend and celebrity hairdresser, but the best friend's family also opens a case of murder against him, and it becomes a media duck-and-dive mission. The end of the book sees him navigating life and challenges in the United States.

In many ways, it was one of the worst winters in California history. The evil, mass murderer and drifter, Tommy Lee Higgins had come to visit Gibson Ranch County Park just outside of Sacramento to steal the lives of the young who had come to play there. To their rescue came the most unlikely of all saviors, a homeless, tiny, seven-pound toy poodle named Lucky, who was hell-bent on revenge and possessed the supernatural ability to battle her mighty foe against all odds and save the life of eleven-year-old Bobby Bailey. It would be a fight to the death for all, born from the endless love of the innocent.

The night of the ferry boat accident, I heard screams in the dark and rough sea. Sailors were screaming for their lives, and I was the first medical responder on the aft platform that night. I witnessed the deaths of my friends and my shipmates. I had just talked to these guys earlier in the day only to perform CPR on them later that night. I continue to have nightmares about my friends, and I still see them in my dreams. I have what they call PTSD, and I have suffered with this over twenty years now. I didn't realize, but I was screaming mentally for help for years, and I didn't realize it. Screams Overboard is not just about a book of what I heard that night but also about my silent screams for help with PTSD that I didn't realize I had till later in life.

I believe it is "e;universal law,"e; or call it fate or destiny that rules all events. There's no coincidences. As one who's trained in law, I examine the facts based upon the evidence. Much More and Better is a book based on the finished work of Christ as described in the book of Hebrews. Hebrews gives us one of the best descriptions of the much more and better that we have through the new covenant ratified in the blood of Jesus Christ. This book will exalt Christ with the preeminence that he is more than worthy of, for everything lost in the fall through Adam has been restored through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. My prayer for you as you read this book is that you will get a magnified picture of Jesus Christ and the awesome glorious new covenant that He paid for with His own blood. As you read, it will be obvious to you that the book of Hebrews is definitely a Holy Spirit-inspired book. Read and enjoy!

With this book, one may read two compelling stories. Each about a young woman who is ridiculed by a scandalmonger. In the first, Tom becomes a scandalmonger: before his rich father dies, he changes his will, turning the ranch and all it's holdings over to Madison, his hospice nurse. Although Madison tries to tell Tom that she will eventually turn the ranch back over to him. Tom convinces the ranch hands, many of whom who had been born and raised on the ranch, that Madison is going to sell the ranch, and if she does, they will all lose their homes as well as their jobs. In the second story, my younger, beautiful sister, Sylvie, becomes convinced that I am the reason that an older couple had changed their minds and have backed out of selling a house to Sylvie and her fianc So Sylvie becomes a scandalmonger when she tells her future father-in-law that I am lazy, that I run around all night, then lay around all day, forcing her to do all the house and yard work. Because of Sylvie's lies, I become homeless, and I am forced to seek refuge in an old, abandoned farmhouse, and not realizing at the time that it is "e;haunted"e;.

We may see chaos when God sees purpose. Life itself is a test, but the test is not as important as how we respond to it. If we fail the test, we must keep taking it until we pass. The Word of God gives us direction, wisdom, and encouragement, so that we may pass the test. God has given Darryl the power of poetry. Like parables, they are contemporary lessons to understand God's word, "e;so that they might provoke us to learn to love and do good"e; (Heb. 10:24).

On a warm, moonlit night in mid-June 1865, three days prior to Beau and Carlotta Wells's scheduled departure, an unsigned note was attached to a door at the main entrance to the vigilance committees' headquarters in a small community called Quiet Creek, located about fifteen miles west of Pine Grove City, Kentucky. The note asserted that a fugitive slave named Beau Wells had returned to the plantation that he'd run away from in 1860, purchased the farm, married his former master's widow, and that he and his wife, Carlotta, could be found residing at his newly acquired estate. Beau and Carlotta's outright defiance of the moral code enraged the vigilantes, and all hell broke loose!
