Look through the Mirror: Change Your Perspective to Change Your Life is a beautiful book with a unique perspective focused on the fundamentals of mastering your mind by positive thinking, visualization, the power of positive self-talk, and observing your thoughts so you can choose your thoughts so you can positively change your life. This book is about how to go within yourself to conquer mental and emotional challenges that everyone deals with in life so that people can feel the love, happiness, and peace within themselves. The reason why it's so important to conquer those mental and emotional challenges is so that people realize for themselves how special and gifted they are to the point where they can do anything they put their mind to and have anything that they desire to have.Look through the mirror is also based on having faith and believing in yourself in all aspects to help yourself throughout your life to conquer all personal challenges and any obstacle(s) that life throws your way. You are much more powerful than you think, you are the spirit of God expressing yourself through the vessel you are in. It's a matter of realizing that the spirit of God flows all throughout your body. The first key takeaway is realizing that if you can see the vision you desire to bring it into your reality with your imagination, then you can do it and bring it into your reality. Another key takeaway is the realization that everything in life happens for you and nothing is happening to you.Jovan shares multiple techniques of how to heal all internal pain by detaching, forgiving, and letting go, rather than holding on to negative thought patterns and emotions. Jovan also will share with you how to overcome obstacles like anxiety, depression, fear, anger, overthinking, low self-esteem, and self-judgment. To free the spirit of the God within you, it is important to set your mind, heart, and soul free of all pain and negativity so you can be in tune with the spirit of God within yourself.

Everybody wants the truth until they hear it. Well, what if everything we were taught about creation, heaven and hell, aliens, angels, and, of course, demons was completely wrong, worse than it is already. The Dark-Light created us to blend together and live in a wonderful harmony, but the Dark, alone, wanted total control, as most evil does, so the Light must fight to keep the scales even. This is the real story of the Earth. After Dark-Light split into Adem and Lilith, they could not fight each other, so they decided to create a champion, known as a Brielle, to fight in their spot. The Righteous fights for the Light and for truth and justice whereas Armageddon fights for the Dark and all that follows evil. Lilith and Adem each create seven subordinates, known as Murmuhdons, but we call them the seven deadly sins and the seven righteous virtues, who serve the Brielle on Earth as they battle for control of the world and the universe. If we could just come together as one, we would be a prosperous and gorgeous world, but as always, you can't have good without bad. Not all people are bad. Those are who the Righteous, the world's first superhero, is fighting for. Destroying the Light is all that Armageddon is fighting for, and our way of life depends on the winner...

Although only still in high school, Kyle Phelps had found love in Valerie Brickly that many others search an entire lifetime for. He knew that he would do anything to protect her, including kill for her, and that is exactly what he did. Valerie had been raped by a man Kyle knew all too well. Kyle's best friend had a history of womanizing but had never taken it to this extreme before. It took one small squeeze and one bullet to put the animal down. More murders and crimes begin to arise in Kyle's town. The evidence in these crimes point directly to Kyle's involvement, but he has no recollection of having a hand in any of them. The time frames of these crimes pinpoint moments of blankness in Kyle's mind. He can't recall committing such crimes, but on the other hand, he can't remember what he was doing at the time of these crimes. Kyle finds himself drifting further and further from reality as his brain tries to ponder how he could not recall a single moment of any of the crimes he allegedly committed. He realizes that his mind only becomes clear when he is with Valerie. As the police close in on Kyle, he finds that he is on the run for his life, and only his love can save him, but how willing is Valerie to forgive him for the evil that he unleashed on the world?

This book is about the mutual relationship shared by grandmothers and their grandchildren. The illustrator has done a great job capturing the various races and ethnicities that makeup grandmothers in the world today. My Grammom played an important role in the lives of my siblings and me. She raised her own twelve children and two grandsons (Frank Rosborough and John Saxton) to adulthood. And another Grandson (Willie Gill) lived with Grammom from age two until he was nine years old.She was also there for moral support to help my mother raise her eleven children. (My father worked at Bethlehem Steel in Steelton, Pennsylvania, to financially support the family. He would come home when he was on vacation, on strike or laid off, and when it was time to plant and harvest the crops [i.e., cotton, corn, etc., and to slaughter the hogs].)She would often give advice, and she cooked and baked delicious food to share with us. Some of my favorite foods prepared by my Grammom were vegetable soup, stickers, fried dried fruit pies, pound cake with chocolate swirl and sweet bread, between a biscuit and a cookie. When I was young, I used to drink coffee with her as we talked. I loved the sound of the percolator as the coffee perked. Curiously, she would put cheese in the bottom of her cup, pour the coffee in the cup, drink the coffee, and then spoon the cheese out and eat it.Grandmothers are role models, teaching their grandchildren right from wrong. They sometimes literally raise their grandchildren, as Saundra Adams is doing with her grandson, Chancellor, who is the son of former NFL Panthers player Rae Carruth. The world witnessed former First Lady Michelle Obama's mother, Marian Shields Robinson, move to the White House to assist the former First Lady and President Obama in raising their daughters, Malia and Sasha. I also watched my mother raise four of her granddaughters four years before her death. My sister Deloris is currently helping raise her six grandkids. She is there to assist and provide overall support, however and whenever she can. She goes beyond the call of duty, the same as my mother and grandmother did. The same as many grandmothers have done and are doing throughout the world today. Conclusively, Grandmothers are "e;queens,"e; they are "e;she-roes,"e; they are role models, and they deserve to be respected, cherished, and honored.

Have the grace to live righteously. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)When you answer the calling to step out of the traditional role of church membership to serve beyond the walls of a physical structure, it is because you understand that church is not the only way to serve people directly. As God sends you out to minister to His people, He will equip you with what you need on the journey to live as Christ Jesus and His disciples did. Don't let fear hold you in bondage from answering His call. He has already prepared you.

When God Calls You from Your Comfort Zone is an inspirational book written by Carl Hays, who grew up in Mississippi during the turbulent civil rights years. Carl Hays's father was deeply involved in human rights and civil rights campaigns of the '60s. The book explains how a father during those turbulent years inspired and influenced his family to overcome insurmountable odds to succeed. The book opens by explaining how God created everything and each person in uniqueness, on purpose, and for a purpose. In order for each person to understand his uniqueness and purpose for being created and to be used by God, he must first learn how to communicate with God.The author goes on to explain how God will always provide a boat for Noah. God called Jonah and provided a fish. God called Abraham and provided a ram for him. God called David and provided a stone for him. God called Moses and provided a rod for him. Each person God calls must be able to understand, recognize God's call, and be willing to step outside their comfort zone with the confidence God will provide. The author appeals to his readers to examine the times we are living in and all the prophetic signs that are appearing everywhere, to learn to communicate with God to determine their purpose and be willing to step outside their comfort zone knowing God will always provide whatever is necessary to carry out his purpose.God has a ram for you.

Life as an unwed teen mother wasn't easy especially raising my daughter whom at the age of six years old was diagnosed with an intellectual disability and later in life, diagnosed with a mental illness. At this point in life I questioned my faith in God and was ready to just give up on my dreams, of pursuing a degree, but in the midst of this storm I realized God was walking with my daughter and I through the storm, he knew the path that lied ahead for us and gave us light through our dark path. With family and friends support I decided to dream big despite the circumstances in our life. I managed to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management. I became certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator. I currently work for one of the top hospitals in the state of Tennessee.

As I wrote some of the stories for this book, I shared them with my brother, requesting that he fill in my memory blanks and verify some of the details. Recently, I sent an email to him with the latest tale attached and asked, "Do strange things happen to me, or am I just strange?""You are strange, definitely strange," he returned.Read these accounts and decide for yourself if life has handed me a unique set of experiences, if I am indeed strange, or if maybe both are true!*****These narratives will prompt you to remember your childhood, remind you of simpler times, and perhaps--probably--make you chuckle.
