This book is written for the young and hopeless, for the misguided, misled, misunderstanding, and misunderstood. It's a book of growth to promote growing. A book to reveal that someone understands, can relate, and cares. This book is written out of love and by faith. It's inspired by life and the discovery of the power of choice to shape that life. It's about choosing to know, love, and be yourself. Being a thug or a man is about accepting your humanity, mortality, and individuality; and respecting your own mind enough to trust that you are perfect.Acknowledging, accepting, and respecting that you are always a work in progress serves as a revelation into so much more. It ain't gotta be the way it is, but it is what it is until you choose to do and be different. This book is written with the hope to give both thuggin' and manhood a broader perspective. The hope that we will discontinue the traditional trade of innocence for ignorance. The aim of this book is to break one cycle and begin another more constructive one.

Su Boom Boom Su Boom KaWhen I was an elementary school teacher in the Ivory Coast, I set aside some special time. I called that special time "e;Stories Time."e; I first initiate some tales and then end up with some discussions to see whether my young students can grasp the meaning of my tale. On many occasions, I invite them to tell to the class their Hamlet's story to enrich the class with the wisdom of each individual legend or stories. Our stories personify daily people in their actions. In the Hare's accounts, this is a cunning creature with fertile imagination and is capable of getting around the most difficult situation. On the other hand of the spectrum, we have Hyena, a gluttonous and too stupid, imbecile, arrogant, and pretentious animal who misapplies the teachings of Hare, resulting to him being punished. The discovery of things in Mother Nature is illustrated by the story of Nekpo and Vili. After serious blowbacks by Vili the porcupine, the hunter came about the ideas of using the porcupine's deadly spines to conceive an arrow.A mother whose son had not grasped the meaning of the logic yet, and therefore not being able to measure the consequences of his own actions, was left to manage his mother's food preparation while out in the field. In complicity with his baby brother, Saki ate all the meat and leaves a few. As a result, when mother came back, she severely punished them. It is not because that somebody is physically impaired that she must be mocked. That debilitated person can save lives. Akissi, who initially is uninvited to join the group of young women of her age, saves lives of her sisters from a powerful witchcraft. Human beings seldom recognize the goodness of hearts of those who get them out of dire situations. Or what goes around must come down and what goes up obviously comes down. One can't spit in air and not expect to receive some droplets of saliva in one's face. That is exactly what happened in the story of Tiger that dug a pit and threw himself in. Monkey, heartbroken because of his distress, came to his rescue and then Tiger wants to make him prey. Then, an arbitrary came and saw his tricks and set Monkey free.

Penne for Your Thoughts is a cookbook full of information to help one understand the difference between food allergy and food intolerance as well as provoke thoughts on nutrition. Many of the wide array of recipes are typical everyday dishes converted to be free from common allergens--such as wheat gluten, casein (dairy), soy, corn, egg, and nuts--by substituting various ingredients for more natural/organic allergy-safe ingredients. It is designed so one can draw from it what they need. The reality is that there are a lot of people that have food allergies/intolerances. Many have multiple sensitivities and do not realize it. The real challenge is trying to eliminate common allergens because they are everywhere. Based on a person' s level of sensitivity, a reaction can be mild to severe, or even life-threatening. For many, it is not possible to buy french fries at the food court, snack on cheeseballs while on a playdate, or sit beside someone else eating peanut butter. This is not just another gluten-free cookbook. It is a map of a mom's journey, where through perseverance she stayed the course and found ways to make life better for her son. At first, the goal was just to make gluten-free pancakes and bread. However, throughout the process, she found grocery shopping frustrating since many gluten-free items were not corn-free. If it were dairy-free, it was not soy-free. It if it were nut-free, it was still manufactured in a facility that processed gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, etc.Quickly she found gluten-free flour very different from regular flour and that eliminating dairy and eggs would also be challenging. As a result of her determination and willpower, Penne for Your Thoughts is hereby presented to you with Max's favorite shaped pasta, a whole array of information, and recipes to ponder.

Can you be vulnerable? People have a hard enough time being vulnerable with their friends and family. Now imagine that vulnerability cast upon the world. This collection was created without pretentiousness, never assuming its publishing would ever see the light of day. The deepest fear had to be overcome in order for light to shine on Bad Poetry. Sometimes you're just lost--lost in love, lost in tragedy, lost in confusion... The list is endless, but the one element that remains constant is emotion. Tumbleweed shows you're not alone on this journey.Bad Poetry, Vol. 1: Tumbleweed is the first installment in this poetry series. Just like a tumbleweed moving freely without direction throughout the desert, the poems in this book were written the same manner.
