"e;What if my daughter had lived? Rachel-would she have looked like Jay's daughters? She died because of me."e;Lord Jim Fausscyn. Spare to the heir. Unprovided for. Must make his own way. Naval career first. Then His Majesty's foreign service. Luckily, he'd won the pulchritudinous Rana, whose huge endowment of South African investments would keep them afloat. She'd also the rectitude of six Caesar's wives! Although the bloody-mindedness of a child age nine. Childish nightmares too, hadn't she once mentioned?Yes, they'd married, she warning him beforehand that adultery wouldn't be tolerated. She'd meant it, her first husband having been a notorious womanizer. Her second husband should've been faithful if not to find himself in punishing pain. Now bloke in a choke hold, brawny bloke down for the count. His noble Pa threatened to disown him. She herself threatened to leave him unless he shaped up pronto! Career in ruins too. Would he lose everything? Lose his sons? Chap on his knees. Chap driven to prayer though he'd not trusted to prayer since boyhood.Family man pressing on-chastened chappie will muddle through. Rana struggles too. She and Jim hardly mesh; it's jarring, even hilarious! Seriously though, why's she so phobic? And what really happened to Rachel's mum? Lost her mind, losing her baby? Occasionally even Rana weeps, wondering. This story, taking place in the midtwentieth century, is both serious and humorous. Foibles, idiosyncrasies, the utterly unexpected of silliness, irony upon irony, from intimate disaster to spiritual redemption. There's a mystery of deceit and lies, or well-meant misdirection. Crucial names get changed-so who's who? The younger generation is protected till truth must out. Forgiveness remains the issue.

Sweet, sassy, and sour--the 3 S's most girls between the ages of seven to sixteen years old have been called or accused of being at least once. My name is Laylah Tyrell and I would have the honor of mastering all three before turning the ripe age of thirteen. Not bragging on anything negative of course, because those who knew me understood me and those who think they knew me, ended up labeling me as a troublemaker or the black sheep of the family. I was extremely observant at a very young age, somewhat bashful, but didn't much get pass me unless I wanted it to. That's why it came as a bit of a surprise when I learned my mom and stepdad wanted to send this city girl to the country, to avoid getting in more trouble and possible jail time.I admit, I did some wrong; possibly some unspeakable things growing up, but I was also forced to deal with a lot of things children my age shouldn't be exposed to, and I guess that made me hostile or as I would like to call it, "e;tough enough."e;You see I was abused and abandoned at the age of seven, abused by the son of a family friend and abandoned by my biological father, and although that does not excuse the wrong I did, it had much to do with me spiraling out of control as a teenager and hurting others along the way. The hurt, betrayal, suicidal thoughts, all these emotions would lead to behaviors that would fuel me for a decade to come. In Mind | Tammy Crumb

The book from the author's perspective is about someone who came to golf late. He has a conflicted look back in time when he began playing golf, knowing now he did not see the whole picture but only that he wanted to play golf. No consideration of what playing golf would entail. He knows very well a clear-headed and well-thought-out approach to start playing golf probably would have stymied or created mental crutches rather than playing golf. He would have discovered reasons not to play. He obviously did not think of the "e;driver first"e; approach-to start with the driver and find out what to expect going forward. The bulk of the book is not about golf. It is about being an adult when he decided to start playing golf. Some of what happened on and off the golf course. It is not about the fine points of a good golf game.

This is the fourth book in a series by the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. This scribe is privileged to continue carrying out the duties of His work as it appears. Thank you, Lord! The main goal of these books is to establish and increase the "e;connective awareness"e; of humanity between science and religion in the world and invite the two to work together to unfold the mysteries of God and His creation so that in the final analysis, both will be able to help all of God's creation, especially the human race who lives in the middle of cosmic struggles between good and evil in these confusing times.Today we are dominated by science and its innovations. But has science released humanity from the fundamental inclinations of religion, or rather has religion and religious influences predetermined the motivations of science? Do mathematical laws of science religiously underlie the explanation of the phenomenon that is observable fact or event? What is the purpose of religion? Is it only to teach the knowledge of God, but not science? It may be that experimental, scientific, religious philosophy could make us better-informed scientists and Christians. The seventeenth-century Roman Catholic scientist and professor Fr. Galileo Galilei pointed out that the purpose of religion is to teach the knowledge of God. What did we accomplish with the separate teachings of religion and the study of science throughout the ages? Did they help each other during the last seven thousand years? Today, is there unity or an entanglement between them? Is God the source of all scientific and religious order in the world? Can science answer the questions of religion, or rather, can religion attempt to answer scientific questions? Do the Holy Scriptures and scientific inquiries provide all the answers to our questions? Is there a relationship between religion and science? Do religion and science complement each other, and if not, why is that? The questions listed above are only some of them. No answers are yet being provided. What about the involvement of mind work to explain the relationship between faith and reason? Humanity likes to see science and religion united and working together to provide credible answers. After all, in the beginning, they were for the works of God on this earth and in the universe. The astonishing days of the Creator are approaching steadily, slowly, day by day. We long for answers with our conscious hearts so that we can gain presence with the Divine Light. It is presentation time! The nineteenth-century Scottish Catholic scientist, the great physicist since Isaac Newton, a professor at the University of Cambridge, James Clark Maxwell, who wrote his first scientific paper at the age of fourteen and died at the early age of forty-eight, declared scientifically that the universe is continuously surged with electromagnetic waves. Their speed of travel is the same as the speed of light. His proven theoretical equations were revealed for the first time in the world and showed that electricity-magnetism-light is one and the same manifestation in the material universe. Upon his death, he was not buried in Westminster Abbey like Isaac Newton was, but he had not minded it at all, not even a bit! He said, "e;The works of the Lord are great! Sort out all of them that have pleasure therein."e;Happy is the man who sees that science and religion are one and the same. According to the great scientist Max Planck, a man who does serious scientific work, knows that "e;over the doors of the Temple of Science you must have faith!"e;Creator God is the source of all order in the universe. He is exact; look around and see. There is a field in and around the universe surrounding His creation. It is the heartfelt wish of this scribe that humanity shall see it one day and then never lose the investigative desires of their hearts and minds. "e;Faith"e; and "e;reason"e; of religion and science are one and the same in the eyes of God. They come from the same creative force of His. One day in the near future, they will be united and presented on earth as one. That is the way it is above, and so it will be the fact on earth below. This is the Divine Plan of the Divine Lawgiver, the Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient God Almighty!

This is for my children and my children's children so that they may know that their father/grandfather served his country along with 2,909,918 other men and women in uniform in Vietnam. Most of these men and woman remained loyal to their oath as military personnel and served with honor and distinction. I want them to know that our efforts and sacrifices were undermined at every turn of the event by the American people, the American press, and self-centered politicians through lies, propaganda, and treason on a scale so large it was unstoppable. And finally forced the government to abandon its troops on the field of battle to fend for ourselves. That they may also see the real truth surrounding the Vietnam War and the war that has raged within me these past fifty-plus years. These words were engendered by a comment I heard on television. It angered me enough to conduct a personal investigation to see if the nine lines written above were just a figment of my imagination or what I felt to be true in my heart. This investigation has culminated with mixed feelings. It saddens me that what I felt in my heart is true; however, I am elated that my investigation serves as a vindication of all the Vietnam veterans, both men and women, who remained loyal to their oath as soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. I am elated that there is finally a book that countermands the lies and propaganda that have carried on from the '60s to this very day and that it shows the Vietnam veterans as the loyal and honorable men and women they have proven themselves to be.

Diane Lynn lived in Westfield, Massachusetts, most of her life, and she went to Stanley Park all through her life, and that's where she was inspired to write this story. It is a delightful story about chipmunks and their friends being happy in the park and having fun chasing each other in the park. She hopes you enjoy reading this story as much as she enjoys writing this story.

Thank you for purchasing this book Hope from Violence. I pray that this book will give you knowledge and hope in many aspects of your life as well from reading this book. Also, in this book, there are businesses with their names, addresses, and telephone numbers that you can contact if you ever need any of these professionals who are in this book. I stand by these professionals from the personal experiences I have had with them. Many people that I have given this information to have given me feedback of raving reviews which they have also networked out to hundreds of people whom they know. This book is about that. There is still good in the people in the world. It can also be used as a tool for progress for yourself and others. I personally have been unwittingly caught in some snags. But Jesus has always snagged me out of whatever my situation was. As you read this book, I hope it will give you more encouragement in your life to know that there is no limitation to anything you want to do or be in life.

The flash of lightning comes out of nowhere. I jump, and I'm surprised to be knee deep in water. The clap of thunder comes with a violence not to be matched by anything man-made. Something has made Mother Nature strike out with a vengeance. The warm water seems to be filled with tiny needles pricking my skin. I turn around and around, searching for a way out of the water. It seems endless. It is getting deeper. The current makes it hard to wade back. Wade back to where? The needles are now sinking deeper into my body. My blood is making the water a dull red. The noise of the thunder vibrates into my soul, stealing my breath away. The lightning breaks through the darkness and bounces off my wet skin, making a multitude of colors reflecting in both the water and sky. The needles no longer prick my skin but have become long slashes. Tearing my flesh into ribbons and floating away. Soon I will be a skeleton with only eyes to witness my life being torn from me.Will Elise ever be able to escape the world of her nightmares? Does she dream to escape or to find the answers that are keeping her trapped in her loveless marriage and in a world filled with terror?

I was born with a genetic disease called cystic fibrosis (CF). After the age ten, the disease started to take over my body. I was put in a wheelchair and on liquid oxygen. My lungs finally gave out. My family and I moved to the University of North Carolina so I could have a double-lung transplant. In August 1992 I got new lungs.I am not going to lie, there were many times when I thought I would die fighting for my last breath on a vent in a hospital. For years I put on a show for people. My smile would cover the physical pain my frail body was going through. I did not want pity, so I faked it. I feel that, since I have a shorter life span than most, I have to live every day like it is my last. I am not mad at CF because I believe God gave it to me to see what I would do with it. I just want to touch and inspire people so when I am gone, they will talk about me for a long time. I have done more at twenty-nine sick than most fifty-year-olds do healthy.-Coby James Gent (July 25, 1979-December 23, 2008)

Many people who read my first book questioned if any of the characters in my book was based on myself and people in my life. Although that book was a work of fiction, many still believed that my main character Cino was really me, so I decided to write my life story. When I was going through my struggles to become a published author, I made a vow that by any means, I would achieve my goals, and inside a nightmare of incarceration, I would make my dreams a reality. The day I made my vow to make it official, I tattooed it on my back.
