    189,-

Overflowing with wisdom, love, and humor, here is a panoramic collection of poems that range from the lyrical to the polemic. With the publication of his first book, Rhythm and Black, Jimere unveils a rhythmical voice that blends spoken word and song. This timeless classic employs poetic lines to portray the stories of both collective and personal experiences. This anthology of poetic (literary) light illuminates the changes Jimere has undergone to emerge as a conscious black man, father, teacher, and artist. Jimere's commanding voice also addresses intensely personal and fiercely political issues from our nation's past and present succeeding in a transcendence of historical oppression and struggle.

The Unspoken Prophecy; A revelation given to all mankind from the beginning of time itself. From the loins of Abraham the unspoken prophecy progressed. As the researcher reads, the prophecy unfolds to reveal that, what we have come to know as Satan and his developing hatred for God's creation, man! His horrific attributes begin to take shape as the progress and development of the world proceeds. To establish a counterfeit of the creator's people is on the horizon and due to one poor decision made by Abraham, came the creation for the counterfeit Satan was looking for. The unspoken prophecy began to unfold before the worlds very eyes. To the horror and fear of a race born out of slavery and servitude, a race grew into the bondage of evil and hate. Ishmael was the wild man of the desert as told in Gen. 16: 11 & 12; His hand shall be against every man and every man shall be against him and he shall dwell over against all his brethren. So here we are in the 21st century and the unspoken prophecy has been magnified and the attributes of Satan flourish in the hearts and minds of a single race of people denying their true identity and killing all, while trying to eradicate any evidence of their true origin.

This story, although fiction, reminds us of what could happen if the world were to fall under the tyranny of a socialist dictatorship. It also teaches that no amount of time or oppression can destroy man's desire to be free and pursue his own dreams. After 200 years of oppression the flame of freedom is rekindled. A library is found that inspires a few people to experiment with less government control and greater individual input to the economy. They also discover the importance of recognizing a supreme being to guide their actions. Chad Billings, the chancellor of Delta Province, begins privatizing the economy and removing burdensome laws and regulations. This leads to prosperity and draws the attention of the President and Senate located in New York. David Jefferies is sent to investigate and this begins a movement that changes the world.

What interests me? The mysterious character and many faces of living things and how it is possible to philosophize about them in a simple way in the form of poetry. I write like a painter. I am an impressionist creating poetic pictures that suggest that the visual culminates in emotion, and the impressions of my emotional surroundings are poured like liquid over the pages of my poetry. Eclectic in style, the "bones" of my poetry are shaped by an awareness of the interaction of trees, birds and flowers. I am in love with their quiet power and I cannot imagine life without them. The moon, the willow, the sea, and even the hidden violet have been my partners, and have dictated what I should write. I believe that while the bedrocks of nature are ever bearing, they remain as mysterious as the hidden springs of human desire that lead us all to listen for the sound of a certain step behind the garden wall. Poetry and art bathe in the same light, and while the artist uses brush strokes, there is a common language between artist and writer. The expressions of the artist on canvas have always been inspirational to me. But the written page is my real obsession.

The history of 20th Century America is one of great courage, leadership and heroism. Those virtues describe Secretary George C. Marshall, whose service after World War II is easily as important as his leadership during it. Little known, however, was a crucial mistake, made by the young Harvard MBAs he sent to Europe after the war to implement the Marshall Plan. That mistake made no headlines at the time. In fact, though it was kept secret in the 1940s and beyond, its results only occurred thirty years later. It gave rise to a silent, but deadly conspiracy to take control of governments on both sides of the Atlantic, and to restore the pre-war regime of the great capitalists who ruled like emperors through the sheer power of wealth. A small group of very private men who had controlled entire economies before and during the War had added new members, including a single American who quickly became their Chairman. They were intent on restoring that control, by whatever means were available to them. Against them are no Presidents, no Prime Ministers, no armies. Only a single man, who leaves his career as a columnist for the Washington Post to research and document the lives of the great pre-war industrial leaders - not recognizing at first that they are the very men who are determined to protect their privacy until they resume their seats of power. With no power beyond his professional skills, he finds himself literally at war, and very much alone after losing his wife and daughter in a random car-jacking and murder. The Winnowing Fan is the story of that war, and of the sacrifices Craig Hadden must make to prevent the destruction of his nation and perhaps a dozen others.
