The Corner of My Round Room was created from one of the many wild and funny stories I love to tell from my experiences in the classroom and from the fields. There is always something new every day that comes from a kid's mouth that you never heard before, and I decided a few years back to write down some as I went along. They were becoming so uncommon that others who had never sat in a classroom began to think that I was making them up. Those who have taught should be able to relate and get a laugh from some of the outlandish things I have come across. From disgruntled parents, crazy softball players, out of control parents, and crooked school employees to bonehead answers, insane excuses, foreign exchange students, and dumb jocks. You can not help but to scratch your head and laugh at the high jinks on every page. I hope you have as much fun reading this as I did writing it. And remember, I can't make this stuff up!

Anna Newsom had led a quiet life until World War II German POWs were brought to her small Alabama town to a work camp to spend the duration of the war. With no money for college, Anna needs a job and she is picked to take books to the prisoners. With her own brother off at war, and fighting her family's disapproval, Anna struggles with feelings of disloyalty but finds herself relishing her visits to the prison camp as she takes on the role of teacher, sharing her love of history and literature, and even her faith with the prisoners.As the war drags on, Anna takes comfort in the fact that she, like her brother, is making a difference in the war effort. She slowly begins to see the prisoners as young men who are also tired of war and want to start a new life. Anna becomes close to one prisoner in particular, a man named Klaus, who is a leader to the men but he has lost his way spiritually. Due to circumstances from his youth, Klaus no longer believes in God, and although he is drawn to Anna, he cannot share her faith.Anna begins to question her judgment, her feelings, and her faith as she falls in love with Klaus. Knowing that no one close to her would accept a relationship with the enemy, Anna finds herself isolated and afraid of what the future will bring.

Paul took one more look at the door, shrugged, then closed it and walked away.Jessica let out a huge sigh of relief. She had never been so scared in her life. She knew if Paul had found her, it would be all over for her. Her legs felt weak. She slowly slid down the wall and sat on the floor. She was shaking so badly she had to take a couple of deep breaths before she could even move to push herself back to a standing position. She wasn't sure she would even be able to walk without holding on to something. She waited until she was sure she could open the closet door and walk out of the house without making any noise.

Hustling Against the Odds-the book and title was inspired by a national bestseller I read given to me by my father, a book he read while in prison called Succeeding Against the Odds, which is an autobiography by John H. Johnson, who was an American businessman. John H. Johnson was a black man who succeeded going against the odds a black man commonly faces in the American society. My book goes into the odds I faced as a black man in that same society, making the accomplishments I have this far in life but from a different, more unique prospective. My book is a tell-all about my journey in life thus far and highlights the truth about the American society as it relates to every black person.

Thank you for your time and curiosity. The Real Deal Is Love is a collection of my thoughts and feelings at times in my life, happy, sad and unpredictable that I just had to write down. The first twenty-five are love poems, and these come from some real things that happened to me and some that happened from people and friends around me. The next twenty-five are of life in general, things that I see and do, things that I just can’t believe and things that are so funny I just had to tell somebody. Believe it or not. The Real Deal Is Love will be a series with several more coming your way. I do hope you enjoy the way that I have expressed my thoughts and feelings in a poetic style. Conventional psychology has made very little progress in treating mental disorders. Sigmund Freud showed us the vast depth of the subconscious; however, he and his successors had little success in actually curing disorders. Currently, the mainstay of psychiatric therapy is through medications, which broadly and relatively indiscriminately numbs the brain, with many unintended side effects. The main motivation for this book was the incredible effectiveness of the techniques we’ve developed in treating various mental disorders including depression, anxiety, neurosis, insomnia, etc. Our motivation also is due to many of our patients who urged us to use this medium to spread our techniques quickly so many more people may benefit from it. The success rate has been incredible, with certain disorders reaching a 100 percent cure rate. Our techniques were founded through years of treating real patients and the feedback we received during this process. From this, we discovered a deeper understanding of how the mind functions and hence how to influence it in any desired direction. Many people were cured of various mental disorders using the techniques in this book. Many of their testimonials are included in this book.
