This humorous Children''s Book was an expression for my love for cats. Particularly, my cat named Allister, who is quite unique, quirky and loving, and the first pet I adopted from the Shelter. I decided to write a book, as if Allister, my cat could write about his feelings in a journal. Through my children''s books, I hope children can find their own unique story with whatever, pet animal, they have, either, a cat, or a dog, and learn not only how to love, have fun and care for your animal, but also have good relationships with others as well, in their everyday lives.

Big Daddy Flower owned a good chunk of land in a small place in Texas. Since his last name was Flower, his four daughters were named for a flower. He didn''t want to name his son after a flower, so he called his son, Thorn. His four daughters were not delicate little flowers he thought they would be. They were all older now and helped run the ranch. They also had many talents and could ride, rope, shoot, and beat up a bad man, if needed. Life was going well until someone decided they would kidnap one of Big Daddy Flower''s daughters. He took his family with him to find her, making them look more like a gang of outlaws that resembled an old timey villain, than a normal family. After searching for hours, she still wasn''t found, so they rested before going back out the next morning. A ransom note arrived saying they had a bomb, and they needed to give in to his command, or else. That''s when it became complicated. Could they really find her before the bomb exploded?

Palau, an island nation in the Western Pacific, is a tropical paradise mostly known to scuba divers. It is not a likely site of international intrigue and extraterrestrial doings. Keola Santos, a clever engineer/inventor, used his experimental TimeTuner to jump back a few hours and rescue a missing scuba diver. But that event triggers the hidden extraterrestrial INdez Federation to contact Keola. Although initially only concerned that someone on Earth had unwittingly tapped into Q-energy, the ETs ultimately find it necessary to team up with Keola, Megan, and Salik to follow clues suggesting a sinister alien plot against Earth. This is a mystery that opens in unexpected ways to involve aliens seeking conquest of Earth's oceans. Keola and friends discover a hidden world of flying saucers, starships, undersea alien bases as well as both benevolent and creepy extraterrestrials. TimeTuner is one tale of a much larger story arc involving the guardian INdez Federation and the Sig-Nordics, a long-hidden ET colony on Earth. Dating from first landing in 1450 C.E. in the Northern fjords of Norway, the Sig-Nordics have a colorful history interacting with evolving human civilizations. COMMENTS FROM PRE-PUBLICATION REVIEWERS Finished it a few days ago. I really liked it. It has a good ending, it surprised me. I was reading it on my phone, so I was not paying attention to where I was in the whole book. I was expecting more things to happen. I was thinking this could happen or that could. But I did like the ending. Overall, I will buy it and read it again. 5 out of 5! -Robert Eppig All in all, a fun and easy read. The characters come to life and the plot flows nicely, with some unexpected twists and turns. Can't speak to theological faux pas, being the heathen that I am. -Ed Green

Experience from more than three decades of working with organisational change and business transformation, in multiple companies across industries and national cultures, has taught me some important lessons. These lessons have convinced me of the fantastic potential most organisations can unlock by developing the way change is planned and executed. The most important elements can be briefly summarised as follows: Change is a continuous effort. Organisations integrating change into their day to day operations, using the most professional and inclusive methods, are the most sustainable. The value of change rests with its adoption, and adoption is too often lacking. Active organisational change management is required to capture the benefits of any change initiative. Successful change can only happen when it is driven by leaders within the organisation. A project manager or a change manager can only facilitate the process. The leaders must mobilise for change. Sponsorship by all leaders, from the CEO to first line management, is crucial to realising change. The roles might differ, but are equally important. Sponsorship is the single most important element for success, and when absent the most frequent reason for failure. Sponsorship and leadership are intricately connected to organisational values. The individual perception of purpose or sense of belonging, autonomy and mastery are important contributing elements in successful change. This book emphasizes the requirements to leadership in change processes and provides a model that sets the course towards lasting and sustainable change.

If you are old enough to remember riding a bike without a helmet or roller skating without elbow and knee pads, you will identify with these stories. These were not daring feats or reckless behavior; they were the way things were done. Bicycle helmets and body padding didn't exist. Sure, we fell and got cuts and scrapes. But we survived! Did you ever eat dirt, have rock fights, or get your head stuck in a porch railing? Probably not, but we did that too. Do you remember being told to go outside and play, not to get dirty and you better be home for supper? How about black and white televisions - ONE per household! There was a very limited number of stations to watch and the only time you got to choose what you wanted to watch was Saturday morning - when all the cartoons and western serials were on. The sixties were many things to many people, a transitory time for many aspects of our lives. Revolutions were happening in music, civil rights, sexual freedom, and social consciousness. But for two young boys born in the second half of the 1950s, the sixties were just 'our childhood'. Simpler times; simpler activities; simpler problems for us. It's not that the sixties were better than any other time, it's just that, to us, they were simpler. And we remember them with fondness. Join us for some stories of our days of adventure in the Boston suburb of Everett.

This is the inspiring memoir of an Afro-American male who grew up in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s when poverty and segregation were in bloom, yet defied the odds to become a science educator and greatly admired member of his community. He discusses the many impediments of "The Bottoms", the colorful yet complicated riverbank neighborhood where he grew up. He frankly points out the reasons he initially fell through the cracks and became a high school dropout before personal and professional triumph through education. His life choices demonstrate that though the difficulty of overcoming one's circumstances may be the cause of falling, one does not have to remain down. In reading this memoir, seeking to discover and discuss the seminal events in the life of the author that allowed him to find a path to success will be beneficial to youth as they forge their own road through present day struggles.

These poems range across geographies, both physical and spiritual, and reveal deep insights into infinite reincarnations. A spiritual seeker will find these poems both transformative and illuminating---they speak with the voices of philosophers, or mathematicians, or lovers. The author opens to us all the possibilities that life appears, disappears, then re-appears in other bodies. Even the disciples of Christ witness the ascension of Christ as mountain climbers; other poems offer us reveries in Greece, terror in India, or beautiful, evocative lines written in Rome, where the poet works and lives.

Come along on an incredible journey where we had no idea where the adventures were. We just let the airplane take us there. The exciting part is, you never know what's next. As a ferry pilot, you don't get to choose what airplanes to fly, the destination, or the weather. And you don't get to choose the life-threatening complications. Sanford has been lucky enough to spend a great deal of his flying career in what we call bush country. The wilderness in the northern region of the United States and Canada is beautiful but non-forgiving. Classroom training is useful, but there is no better reward in life than the real experience of successfully flying over the wilderness to destinations most people will never see or go. There are no airport terminals, airline schedules, or rental car services at the most pristine places in the world! 9-1-1 simply doesn't exist! Special planning becomes routine, life-saving survival gear is standard equipment. Diverting to a local airport while in route to avoid some rough weather, or stop to stretch your legs and have a soda pop, is not an option. It is definitely not for everyone. But if you are willing and capable to step outside, where there are no warning labels that tell you how to wash your hands, in this little so-called safe world, where somebody else is taking you by the hand and leading you through life, the rewards are endless! Airplanes have opened up the world to us, and we have seen and visited so many places that we may never have known about. The journey is never the same. The risks seem high, but are worth the rewards. We had no one to share these incredible experiences with, until now.

The life journeys of Brigid, Rosie, and Babs, beloved characters from Magold's first novel, A Beast No More, continue in The Treasured Egg. Having achieved worldwide success in their respective careers as English professor, zoologist, and NASA scientist, these women approach middle age with a yearning to reconnect with their families, especially their aging mothers, in Cleveland, Ohio. The novel takes the reader through the splendor of Africa, the magic of Ireland, and the pulse of California-always with the underlying rhythm of a woman's heartbeat. Marriage, music, romance, and cosmic explorations intertwine as the characters rely on their friendship and faith to conquer personal crises of divorce, cancer, and sexism. Dominating the narrative are the women's close relationships with their mothers, especially when confronting the ravages of Alzheimer's and the frightening inevitabilities of old age. Many ancient civilizations traditionally revered women who carried "the treasured egg," the preserver of procreation and survival of the tribes. This story of Brigid, Rosie, and Babs, and their mothers and daughters, honors those traditions of reverence.

This book is dedicated to my parents, Joe and Gloria, and their unbelievable journey of a true love story during World War II. The letters between them show the trials and tribulations (and sometimes humor) they endured and overcame over a period of five years, four and half while my father was overseas and in battle. Following and chronicling their love story through their letters has allowed me a better understanding of not only who my parents were as young adults, but also of the strength and power of their love for each other. It is a testimony that not even distance or a war could keep them apart.
