A period when MAN has to endure hard work and patience with its own people, attitude and customs. Both DINOSAURS and MAN experienced deep sorrow in the loss of loved ones. It is the success of MAN over the community with the use of their mind and intellect. MAN has to overcome adversity to improve their livelihood throughout the ages. The progress of MAN has to undergo to claim prosperity is by believing in one universal GOD. And as recognized by MAN, a Peninsula by the bay looks like the SLEEPING DINOSAUR.KIRKUS REVIEW"A retelling of the Filipino Legend of the Sleeping Dinosaur, wrapped in the debut middle-grade historical novel.Millions of years ago, glacial movements and meteorites shaped what would be the islands of Southeast Asia. Dinosaurs lived on these islands, Barnes explains, roaming about islands like the Philippines and learning to survive in a constantly changing world. There were earthquakes, storms, volcanoes and avalanches, but the dinosaurs (and the animals they fed upon) evolved along these disasters. The creatures of the region generally lived in peace and harmony but when humans came along (it's necessary to suspend disbelief here as humans and dinosaurs did not live in the same era), things started to change. Using their common sense and evolved brains, the people began to take over the very spots where the dinosaurs lived, eating their food and usurping their land. After a particularly bloody (and imaginatively gory) feeding frenzy during which the dinosaurs interrupted a picnic on the beach and devoured several men, the islanders decided to take revenge and eradicate the dinosaurs from their corner of the world. They succeeded, except for one dinosaur - a large female that was roaming in search of her child. Lost and alone, this dinosaur eventually died in the forest, where grass and trees and leaves covered her body. This ridge formed its own peninsula, dubbed the "Sleeping Dinosaur" peninsula, where it still lies today. Barnes' folk tale has heart and the story of how this peninsula came to be is interesting . . ."

Finally, it is prophetic and gives numerous insights on the Prophetic mantle. An epic saga of the life and times in the world's most famous sports venue, Arenaland explores its subject with humor, and something to engage or enrage every fan. Ignatius "Iggy" Muldoon inherited merely $100-million on college graduation so he built his dream arena on a bedrock of loans. All kinds of eccentrics, whackos and felons come aboard, including Pete Nitnay, the man who lives in the rafters; Dave Majestic, throne maker to the stars, condiments supervisor Noblesse Oblige, and Achilles Heal, who's the crafty shepherd lurking outside the arena gates. Arenas worldwide have become cathedrals of sport, and at times cathedrals of another sort. There are 57-plus entertainment varieties in Gotham, where Muldoon invested his money and his life in what's billed as the "Great Arena." From major-league hockey and basketball to the new team drinking competition and the indoor fishing league, the Great Arena needs to pull in big bucks to stay financially afloat under Iggy. It isn't easy. When danger of losing control happens, he comes up with a radical way to keep his dream. Central to it all is the public relations dreamer, Stan Flack, with ideas that are butter knife cutting-edge in the competitive world of sports. Satire spars with parody; absurdity's in a smack-down with social commentary in this charcoal-gray look at the sports business from an author who spent 36 years in arena sports, and that long in a vain attempt to get a real job.

This book is a collection of stories, moments and events in the life of one man. They are the high points and the low points of a journey. They detail the heights of the mountain tops and the depths of the valleys through which the author has journeyed. Of course, every person has his or her own journey and these roads as personal as one's breath. These events might stimulate your thinking or they may not. However they were significant times for the author. I hope you will find them interesting for you.

You are loved, worthy to be cherished and adored in every area of your life. God is for you and not against you. We are created to live in peace. Not chaos! Do you see the state of our country and world? A country divided brings strife in government, homes, communities and churches. Have you been hurt by family, friends or even the church? What use to be right is now considered wrong. As a society we have strayed from reading the Bible and praying daily and we wonder why our lives are filled with superficial love and temporary joy. Many of our lives are filled with immorality and depression. We see spiritual leaders living double lives. We see neglected elderly and abused children. Where has the love gone? Get the facts about Bible truths and think for yourself. You have the power to choose peace or chaos. Look around! Why do we keep believing the lie, when we see with our eyes, the pain and destruction with this new way of thinking? Living a life without the Creator's written Word that leads us into peace, protection and safety. We sit back and judge and complain about God not being there for us. But most things we do show Him, we don't want Him. Have you ever thought maybe I put everything above Him by pursuing money, things and people rather seeking Him? Scripture says we talk about him with our lips, but our hearts are far from him. How are we really living? We love to blame the world for all the evil, including governmental leaders for the chaos in our nation and world. In this book you will find out who really is the blame for our world's problems. When terrorists attack, I hear people say where was God? Maybe in the same place he was when His son died for you. Did our country ask Him to leave our school, leave our bodies and let us live our lives without God's guidance? Talk about chaos! Wouldn't you rather have peace? You choose. If we choose to take God at His Word, let's not allow the media, entertainment, politics or persuasive talk encourage us Not to stand for TRUTH. Are you selling God out by listening to sad stories that compel you to say," God's not right on this issue?" The pressure is on for you to choose chaos, but I encourage you to choose peace. Living TRUTH is up to you. Are we going to continue straying from biblical principles and forsake God and His protection, allowing evil to pursue us? It's not too late to get off the broken path, stand firm and bless your family with a legacy of a hope and a future. Think for yourself, don't believe the writer. Ask God to reveal it to you. If you're sincere, He looks at the heart and will show you. If you're a believer, live it! If you're a prodigal, come back home. However, if you long to know God, it's not too late.

Have you ever heard anyone say, "Life just got in the way"? Well, at Conquer Life we challenge that, head on. In our culture today, there is an astonishing amount of stimuli available (literally at our fingertips) to take our attention away from the things we want to accomplish in life. It is so easy to lose track of our goals and dreams by focusing on the latest trending topic that, more times than not, the dreaded phrase "Life just got in the way" becomes all too real. Even if procrastination does not plague your daily routine, it is still challenging to achieve a personal goal or land your dream job if you don't know where to start, or just don't have the time. Every now and then you come across a "rags to riches" story, and undoubtedly, at some point the person who has landed at the top of the mountain is asked how they achieved their success. Even without any context, the achiever in this scenario will state it took "a lot of hard work" to get where they are today. This, of course, is more than likely very true, but it offers the reader no pathway to success on their own endeavors. Hard work is the answer for achieving ultimate success in life, but this offers no real value for those who seek something more out of their life. If you have ever had a dream of one day opening your own restaurant or developing the next hit mobile app, of course it takes hard work to get there, but without a smarter approach, hard work is not even half the battle. Conquer Life is the complete guide to an elevated way of living through achieving your dreams in life via industry-proven methodologies. For those who seek success and are willing to put in the (hard) work, Conquer Life gives you the how-to in achieving your life's greatest quest. The methodologies found in this guide are pulled directly from those that the world's biggest companies use to develop new and exciting products and thus grow their business in an increasingly competitive global market, but they are adapted and enhanced for your personal life. No longer will you need to say, "Life just got in the way" because you will achieve your dreams; you will conquer life.

  • - Poems for Seasons and Reasons
    av Larry Troxel
    255,-

Plan life's chapter with loving care, allow the reader a pleasant surprise. In poetic fashion, Larry has created new worlds and characters, recounted personal stories, captured histories of families, fantasies in humor, conveyed affections of life, and shared upthoughts of inspiration, memories, music and musings. Out on a limb, he tells of events and expresses views of a patriotic heart and politics, and shares empathetic poems about addiction recovery influenced by his work in an addiction recovery program. One literary critic said, "The time and care that has gone into this compilation of poetry is clear. I love the line in the opening 'As if taking a selfie, questions of this poem may help in deciding, if just a little, about what our story is, or can be' - I want to share that with the youth in my life in particular and see if they wouldn't be inspired to turn to this creative outlet of writing! The title piece, In the End We're All Stories, is a beautiful work to reflect on, to 'plan a final chapter with loving care, allow the reader a pleasant surprise' is a worthy goal and tool for recovery.' God wants us to be dedicated and committed to living His word - Matthew 4:4. As a result, we will be hot for Him and a perfect example to others as to what it means being a true Christian. The Bible has an abundance of God's infallible truths and doctrines, and teachings. There are close to 8,000 New Testament scriptures. However, in order to live God's word, you must be taught it. That is a major problem in Christianity today; people are not being taught all of His word. The churches have been hijacked by false pastors. And sadly, most Christians are not being taught how to discern those fake pastors who are not called by God from those who are. Obviously, gay and female pastors are not called by God, which I explain in detail in my other book, The Mind of Christ, the Biblical Puzzle. In this book you will quickly learn how to discern a fake pastor and you will be shocked at what you didn't know as a Christian. I give you over 800 scriptures both from the Old and New Testament, along with the Greek and Hebrew words and the divine input from the Holy Spirit. I also research God's truths from the biblical scholars like Biblehub.com and studylight.org. I do this because like God I too want you to be hot (zestos) for Him.
