Here are the tweets and some meats. The tweets took me to a fleet and a new program. It is short and sweet; to the point for the end of a joint. It is my counterpoint, my notes on how and why I row. It is really for the slow realization that I have been screwed most of my life and I am done. Being blonde, being a frond, sitting in someone's palm. I've taken the reins. A horse can take the bit in its mouth between his teeth. It's called, "grabbing the bit." He has control and can take his rider anywhere he wills it, perhaps for a lesson or two in reality.

A combination of adventure, history, suspense, and romance are combined in this literary novel. While the major characters in this historical novel are fictional, the facts are accurate, reflecting the Hispanic population of northern New Mexico Territory in the 1890s with its rich culture and language-and also touching on the Native American culture. The historical context embraces contemporary issues. The theme that faith and love can overcome evil by those who persist in seeking that which is true and good is evident in this novel.

This introduction to quantum mechanics attempts to stick to reality-based interpretations to the extent possible. The preface presents the author's philosophy of physics, which is essentially a call for eclecticism and a realization of the nature and limits of physical concepts and theories.Chapter 1 starts with a review of the pre-1925 quantum achievements of Planck, Bohr, and Sommerfeld, including Einstein's discovery, well before wave mechanics came on the scene in 1925, of the photon concept and its implication of wave-particle duality. The more straightforward consequences of wave mechanics are then covered. Chapter 2 further develops ideas of wave mechanics, and presents the Schrödinger equation with a number of simple applications. The chapter puts appropriate emphasis on the nature of the quantum state and the importance of state preparation, and concludes with a review of quantum interpretations from 1925 up to the present. Chapters 1 and 2 alone can serve as a lower-level introduction to the subject.Chapters 3 to 7 present many of the standard results of quantum mechanics. Chapter 3 concludes with the GRW collapse theory, and Chapter 4 with the role of decoherence in the measurement process. The hydrogen atom and Thomas precession are thoroughly treated in Chapter 6. Chapter 8 delves into time-dependent perturbations and transitions with a careful development of Fermi's Golden Rule.Few quantum mechanics texts consider the classical roots of the Schrödinger equation, but this interesting task is carried out in Chapter 9. Chapter 10 is devoted to hidden variables, non-locality, and Bell's theorem, and Chapter 11 builds on the work in Chapters 9 and 10 to give a short introduction to David Bohm's "ontological" interpretation. The book concludes with Dirac's relativistic equation for the electron and its prediction of the ever-elusive "zitterbewegung."The prerequisites for most of the book are good backgrounds in calculus and modern physics. A familiarity with vector analysis and linear algebra would also help. About the Author: Frank Munley earned a Ph.D. in physics from Johns Hopkins University with a thesis on the effect of critical slowing down on Mössbauer spectra. He worked in aviation safety, which included authoring a study on commuter airline safety using a record of departure-based statistics he constructed. This work led to a tightening of federal regulations. He also worked in economic statistics, devising models of asset lifetime estimation. Frank taught physics for 26 years, the last 21 at Roanoke College, which afforded him the opportunity to teach a course on the nuclear arms race prior to the end of the first Cold War. His main interest in physics focuses on improvements in the physics-major curriculum and the philosophy of physics.

This tells of why and how a young Rhodesian army Captain decided in 1963 not to fight the oncoming war over majority rule. His future unknown, he leaves the country for studies in Cape Town; marries; wins a Beit Fellowship to Oxford; and is recruited to a career at the World Bank. In time he becomes an expert on Eastern Europe. Invited home in 1975 to help prepare Rhodesia's transition to Zimbabwe, he spends three years living through the very war he chose to avoid. Rejoining the Bank, he works on Hungary and, in a unique period after communism fell in 1989, he lives in Poland as Resident Representative. A man of two transitions, he explains how they are separate but ironically linked. His book, a testament to the value of education and the power of family, is written as a memoir to his grandchildren. Now himself a proud American, he offers them a world view-what he calls a moral equilibrium- to harmonize their vexed heritage with today's divided America. Happy with his life, he regrets the outcomes in the country he left. He describes a different path to majority rule his countrymen could have taken, instead of herd-think support of Ian Smith's UDI and war. Had they done so, both the war as well as the brutality, corruption and devastation of Mugabe's Zimbabwe could well have been avoided. As a life's message to his grandchildren, he exhorts them not to make similar mistakes: beware the herd; think for yourself.

In a Newsweek article on June 12, 2017, scientists shared evidence that our brain is able to access a multidimensional universe-and contains structures and shapes that display up to eleven dimensions! Powerful light frequencies are moving through time and space, initiating extraordinary planetary evolution. We are in the midst of higher evolution, moving from the grip of the spider's web of the lower energies to the awareness of the multidimensional self. Planet Earth is in the process of total transformation, not only on a global and universal scale, but also on personal level. Most people are still stuck in lower energies of the past programming, creating friction within the human body and mind. Their consciousness of self is based on five senses, limited to the physical world, and they are unable to experience other realities. But there are a myriad of different realities and dimensions that can be explored with the higher consciousness. Spider's Web explores these higher dimensions, other realities, relationships, our connection to Planet Earth, and the concept that we are multidimensional beings.

As my grandmother might say, "this is a bonny book," one that moves bonnily along, and possibly is one of only a very few on this subject. This book is a tapestry of fantasy/fiction into which a psychological treatise is woven. It is a sensual but non-sexual story of a middle-aged man and four Nymphs to whom he is forever bound; it is story of the faerie. It is not one in which the long obscure prince comes into his own, falling in love with, and marrying, the princess. Nor is it the one in which "Cinderella," due to the accident of the loss of a glass slipper, gets the much-in-demand, yet lonely, prince, and they live happily ever after (that is, until the heir to the throne is born nine months later). It is not like that at all. If you overtly or covertly enjoy a bit of magic, you will like the book. It is Jungian in psychological orientation. This piece of work is a preternaturally fictionalized, openly mythologized, creatively theologized and sometime-poeticized and even romanticized personification of a man's (Will's) psychic feminine (Nymphs). This book is initially completed except for sequential material. As far as I know, no other psychologically directed book has been written about the masculine psychic feminine in a fantasy/fictional genre. This fairy story offers an insight into the collective unconscious of the masculine, a man's mind. This brief book (approximately 105-115 pages) is made up of an introduction, a prologue, eight chapters and a summary. The introduction offers an apologia as it creates a mythotheopoeic foundation upon which the fantasy castle can be built. The prologue offers a justification for the writing of the book in the first place, as well as a somewhat prejudicial account of the lasting value to those who read the book. The chapters will be outlined elsewhere in this proposal, but I might say that each of them deals with an encounter couched in fairyland terms. Each of the Nymphs is featured in a chapter, the theme

This is a "can't put it down" book of a series of stories written by the author from the heart about his experiences serving in the Vietnam War. The author came out of the Vietnam War closet to be healed from the deep, hidden pain of his war experiences. Investing in this book will help other Vietnam War veterans heal after years of unwanted suffering. He was rewarded for his bravery as a Crew Chief/Gunner on a Scout LOACH (Light Observation Aerial Combat Helicopter). These stories will take you into the Vietnam War as if you were there. You will feel the pain of war. You will feel the humor of war. You will feel the fear, loneliness and stress of war. You will learn how this fear, stress, and loneliness led to heroin addiction and marijuana use by over half of our soldiers in Vietnam. America did not understand the Vietnam War. Vietnam War soldiers returning home were abandoned and shunned. No one wanted to listen. No help was available to help these war heroes heal. Young men went to Vietnam to fight expecting nothing. When they returned home, nothing is what they got. The author knew we should be in Vietnam to protect our national interests because of research done in college for a speech class. Find out how the news media lied to the American people about the purpose of the war in Vietnam and how we could have easily won. Forty-six years later the author pulled out his Vietnam War memorabilia to share with family at a family reunion. Even his wife had not seen these things. The family feelings erupted being upset because he had not shared his Vietnam War experiences sooner. He just couldn't! The pain was buried to deep! He promised his family to write his stories down. Take this journey as you cry with the author through his painful healing process.

The title comes from a ridiculous little skit put on by the graduating class at Parkside Elementary School in June, 1954. I suppose this little book will be classified as an "autobiography" if for no other reason than I am the narrator and all the experiences described in it reflect my point of view. Some will claim it's a work of fiction because they will suspect that I made up some of these stories or embellished them in some important ways. Mark Twain once said "Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth isn't." The only parts I'm not certain about are some of the "who said whats" and some of the "facts" that were reported to me by others that I was unable to check for accuracy. But I'm absolutely confident that 99% of what's in these pages happened as described. Unfortunately there are no videotapes.

  • - A Book About Addictions
    av D William
    189,-

Cycles is a fictional novel written by a friend of a convicted sex offender for other sex offenders who are seeking help for their "life-long incurable disease." This book is also for those therapists who desire to treat those who are plagued with this socially reviled affliction. This book covers many aspects of the life of a sex offender, from their thoughts and feelings, through the different phases in the cycle(s) of an abuser. (This approach can be used for nearly any addictive disorder,) coping strategies among other aspects of a sex offender, to assist them to not offend or re-offend. This book is not a "cure-all," and as with any ailment, this book should be used in conjunction with a trained professional(s) who deal with this sort of thing on a specialized level. There are no successful shortcuts such as religion and faith for this very destructive disease. Religion and faith are way too often used as a "cure-all" for everything, but most clergymen are not trained or properly trained and many do not want to deal with this harmful and very volatile subject. To those offenders that are honest and true to their treatment and its steps to an offense-free lifestyle, religion/faith alone is the coward''s way out. It is best to get used to the idea of being a sex offender for the rest of your life. Preferably, after proper treatment and an honest commitment to the extremely hard and oftentimes hurtful work involved, an offense-free life awaits your possible future victims and then yours. If you do not remember anything else, remember this one thing: victims and possible victims come first. As in the previous segment of this section above, "About the Book," this manuscript does not hold back on its wording and does not condone excuses, only healthy efforts for an offense free, but more importantly, a victim free life. If you are only giving your treatment/therapy lip service.
