Vocare is to invoke and to beckon. I am beckoning here: I write for my life, finding words have been taken to strife, when the real root was a butter knife to wipe fresh clotted cream upon a bun from the bakery down the lane when the dairymaid came to stay. The story here is of a man who I found on a desert sand along a cove, looking tan. He had come to man, looking all grand and he did land..... ....somewhere else in a far off cove. He missed the X spot I had drawn in the sand as an S.O.S plan. Oops.... I traveled across his hand, a mountain terrain band of crevices and ravines, caves and pits it seems to find out why..... .....he missed the spot. Was a word taken wrong? I travelled with a dog, a cat, two parakeets and a cantankerous daughter keeping me on land.

  • - The Reallusion Hypothesis
    av Dr Jonathan Sumber
    235,-

As we explore the four states of reality it brings forth two hypothetical systems of physics that are of the author''s creation: the reallusion hypothesis and the two spectrums of energy hypothesis. The reallusion hypothesis proposes that the universe is not an external presence of matter, space, energy and time that exists separate and independent to our own physical essence and our consciousness, but rather; the universe and our own physical essence are each the product of a virtual reality-like process that is expressed within our consciousness, as our consciousness is created within the physics of our mind, and as our mind encompasses more than just our brain. If we could explore into the levels of order that precede the subatomic level, the universe would revert into the embodiment of all that our mind encompasses; revealing that our mind transcends the boundaries of our perceived essence, within processes that create our consciousness and the universe within it.The first three states of reality correspond to the three stages of the reallusion process where code and data are processed into the creation of conscious perspective and independent thought. The fourth state of reality corresponds to the afterlife. The two spectrums of energy hypothesis explores how our conscious perspective of the universe is created within two spectrums of code and data.

LOVE IS EVERLASTING JOYAs an inspirational and heartfelt journey through the heart of the poet, Love Resurrected is offered as a fresh compendium of poems that focuses on many relationships we experience based on the most important types of love we encounter in life. Love is always at home in the soul; love always leads one down one’s chosen path in life. Most of us begin our journey of love with a sense of self love, familial love or with a sense of the desire for the unconditional love of God. At some point, we, outwardly, encounter romantic love, platonic, and other love - love for other life forms, material love, or love for inanimate things. Love itself is a journey into the heart as a dedication of joy, which makes the heart appreciative and causes the heart to sing.Love Resurrected alludes to and expands upon the importance of love as reflected or impacted as a result of marital and or broken relationships, as well as their restorations. Childhood and true friendships are also addressed in a positive light. True friendship is a river that never runs dry and like the vastness of the open sky stretches out into eternity. Poetically, true friendship endlessly blossoms as a beautiful rose as years go by, and illuminates and fills the heart with an inextinguishable flame of radiance, appreciation, and delight. Love is a journey into the heart as a dedication of joy, which strikingly, makes the heart happy. As a collective compilation of love poems, some deal with love as its overall point of view; however, themes such as honesty with oneself and others, self-reflection, self- mastery, and relationships between the impact of the past upon the present, are interlaced throughout, with a twist of the imagination, colorful expectancy, and exhilaration, as we sojourn life's highway. Life changes, faith, belief, and gratitude are presented, additionally, for the readers’ self-elucidation. However, at some point in life, one comes to understand that love is always at home in one’s soul, as love always directs toward one’s primal destination. In summary, the following is offered to the reader to grace for reflection and contemplation:To you, this is a certainty: as life is a lesson to be well learned, listen to the love of your life and you will always be in tune with the better part of yourself. Listen to the love of your life and you will always be in sync with, attuned to the better half of yourself. What one fails to learn from one’s spouse (mate, partner - soulmate) surely is what he or she is destined to repeat, somewhere or at some point in time. Therefore, seek balance in your life and harmony in every relationship.  And perhaps, you too will truly come to understand the essence of Love Resurrected, and like this humble poet, you also will declare: “I love me to the extent I know the truth and to the extent I know the truth, thus, am I free. To the extent I am free so am I love; for only love can know love, and love knows love only. And like the sun, love radiates love. Moreover, I am love. As love, I am loving, lovable, and know no matter what circumstances or misfortunes may befall, 'love resurrected’ is ever a truism as well as a possibility.”

Worse, Klara may ultimately have to make an even more torturous choice between her son and God.Sin Made Flesh: The Parable of the Vampire is the novel fans of classic gothic horror and Christian supernatural fiction have been awaiting. • - The Ultimate Assassin
    av James C Ryan
    305,-

From the eighth century, onward, the term assassin has come to mean the agent of an organized, clandestine, secret effort to eliminate enemies. The study of this effort is complex and takes many turns. In modern times, the assassin lives on as agent of the nation state who employs the same methods to eliminate enemies. As before, the individual assassin must be well-trained in many skills which include proficiency in languages, fighting arts, self-discipline, patience, and ingenuity. Often, the modern assassin will have the complete support of his nation state in carrying out the mission, but never an admission of ownership or attribution. An assassin, by his very nature, must be self-motivated, fearless, organized, cunning, and ruthless. The Nation States hunt for such an individual when met with success also embraces the fear of what this type of individual can do to his patron. Therein lays the story of the ultimate assassin.

  • - Sharing the Colorado River
av Douglas Winslow, Bruce J, PH D Carter & m.fl.
    275,-

In this independently funded study, the authors address the future of the world's supplies of clean water, exploring in depth the U.S.A.'s Colorado River Basin, where a variety of approaches have been used and proposed to manage provision and allocation of the Colorado River water. Increases in population and water usage, along with uncertainties associated with climate change, put the future availability of adequate water supplies in doubt. Rules and regulations are traditional approaches to handling common resource maintenance and usage. With no rules, the tendency to use the resource inefficiently and not to maintain it produces the free-rider problem sometimes called the "tragedy of the commons," a phrase popularized by Garrett Hardin in 1968. An alternative to rule-setting and enforcement is to establish market rights to water supply, with the higher-value uses commanding higher prices and receiving more investment. The pros and cons of this approach are discussed in a chapter of this book. The book discusses the various policy options, describes the recent crisis in supplying Flint, Michigan, with safe, potable water, explains the water cycle, discusses cyber security issues, surveys the threat from waterborne illnesses, and calls attention to one of the most recent sophisticated mathematical approaches to predicting droughts and floods, the use of Bayes's theorem.

  • - A Shift from Driving It to Embracing It
    av Joy E Mason
    179,-

If you are driven or an overachiever; if you feel as though you are on a treadmill, reaching, straining, and driving for something; if you are still trying to understand your life's purpose, then Purpose: A Shift from Driving It to Embracing It is for you. In this book, you will discover how goals and purpose are different. Unlike most books on finding life's purpose, this book starts with what life's purpose is not, because this is precisely how the author came to understand what was real in her life and what was imagined or supposed. The author demonstrates how not to look in a distorted mirror for answers, not to be hijacked by our past, not to practice off-purpose thinking and self-grievance, and so much more. She uses personal experiences, like joining a risky lawsuit and dealing with the reality of a brain tumor, as well as lessons of the spiritual leaders who guided her on her journey, to show how her perspective on a purpose-driven life changed over time and how that change led her to the peaceful space she's in today. Warm, real, and relatable, this down-to-earth book is a practical roadmap to a more fulfilling way to be in the world.
