This book can be used by institutions providing initial training for secondary school teachers as a pedagogical tool for training young people in Civics, Peace and Citizenship. It does not claim to solve all the problems associated with teaching this new discipline. It offers suggestions and guidelines, and remains open to all criticism and suggestions likely to improve it for a better Civics and Citizenship Education for Guinea's future generations.

Introduction Cardiovascular management of cancer patients represents a major challenge, since cancer and cardiovascular disease often coexist, and anticancer treatments can be the cause of cardiac or vascular toxicity. It is therefore vital to specifically organize cardiovascular follow-up for patients who are due to receive potentially cardio-toxic treatment. Improved management and the development of specific research require teams and structures bringing together cardiologists and oncologists, who have acquired interdisciplinary expertise. In this context, the creation of a cardio-oncology unit has emerged. Methods In this paper, we examine the managerial and academic aspects of a project to set up a cardio-oncology unit in the cardiology department of the Tunis Military Hospital. Results An inventory of the difficulties involved in caring for cancer patients was drawn up using an ISHIKAWA diagram. Among the obstacles identified, poor knowledge of anticancer treatments and their toxicities, as well as the absence of close collaboration between the different medical teams, were cited.

Unlike international humanitarian organisations, the African Union considers food security from a development perspective, due to its status as a political organisation. It therefore has a framework of public policies which forms the basis of its action to promote food security in Africa. This framework incorporates the political and strategic guidelines laid down by the political authorities. However, the abundance of political discourse on food security within this organisation is not convincing enough about the effectiveness of its action on the ground. What is even more interesting is to understand the coherence and implementation factors of the organisation's actions, in particular the programmes and the institutional resources that accompany them. By addressing an issue that has received little attention in the scientific literature on the work of the African Union, this book offers a comprehensive analysis of the dynamics by which the African Union intervenes to resolve the problems of food insecurity in Africa.

Tourism has both positive and negative environmental, economic and social impacts. The objective of this paper is to provide a policy alternative that seeks to mitigate the negative effects of tourism and enhance its positive effects while combating inequality and poverty. It proposes the development of an integral strategic plan for the implementation of sustainable tourism projects through the granting of microcredits. This tool seeks to reach the most vulnerable populations of society by providing them with access to credit through a self-sustainable programme focused on a high-impact activity that is constantly growing.

Lac de Tengréla is located in the village of Tengréla, around 7 km from the town of Banfora in southwest Burkina Faso. It covers an area of around 340 ha and is of ecological, cultural, social and economic value to the local population. It plays an important role in maintaining biodiversity and in agricultural, fishing and tourism activities. Despite its multiple functions, the lake is subject to heavy colonization by invasive aquatic plants, which hinder its proper functioning. Remote sensing is the tool we used to monitor the dynamics of invasive plant proliferation on the lake. The NDVI vegetation index was used to carry out this study, tracking the phenology of plants on the lake. It was extracted from 411 NDVI images of the MODIS MOD13Q1 product. This analysis shows that the dynamics of plant proliferation on the lake are contrasted from one year to the next. However, during the course of our study, we noted a high degree of vegetation cover on the lake. The average annual vegetation cover remains permanently above 70%.

Kidney failure is detected in over a third of heart failure patients. The association of these two pathologies has a poor prognosis, as it often alters the therapeutic strategy recommended for heart failure patients, and increases the progressive damage to both organs. The kidney plays an important role in the pathophysiology of heart failure, and suffers the progressive consequences of the most common causes of heart failure: ventricular dysfunction, atherosclerosis, hypertension and diabetes. Because these patients with renal failure and heart failure are often excluded from controlled trials, little is known about their optimal treatment and recommended medications. The "cardio-renal" syndrome is a hot topic, with various studies highlighting its increasing frequency and therapeutic implications. It can have detrimental consequences, as it exacerbates the effects of neurohormonal stimulation, inflammation, oxidative stress and endothelial dysfunction on the structure of the myocardium, vessels and kidneys.

More than ever, the concept of career is of paramount importance in the world of Human Resources, in that all career management processes are aimed at attracting talent, retaining employees and developing their skills. However, many organizations do not generally take an interest in the career development of their employees, and those that do often lack relevance in their approach, and consequently do not always achieve the expected results, i.e. organizational performance. This book is the product of a study focused on "Career development and individual performance: a challenge for Cameroon's processing industries", and attempts to provide context-specific answers to this widely-researched problem. We start from the general hypothesis that career development has a significant impact on the individual performance of employees in Cameroon's processing industries.

In the collective imagination, conflict is almost always perceived as an aggressive and violent manifestation of varying magnitude, whose consequences in terms of frustration and the destruction of property and/or lives make it an undesirable part of life in society. Yet, like inequality and injustice, conflict is consubstantial with human life. Conflict is also the main lever for social change. This change is often a source of innovation, understood as a change in the thought process aimed at executing a new action. In a post-conflict society, peace-building also implies the construction of a new society. This book sets out to identify social and political innovations in the stabilization and reconstruction process in the DRC, in 5 parts. Part 2 presents the challenges of stabilization and reconstruction (2); the contribution of the United Nations to this process (3) is followed by an analysis of social and political innovations. The limits of innovation and the effectiveness of these interventions (5) complete the analysis.

In my work as a special needs teacher, I work with students with learning difficulties for 1 or 2 hours a week. The majority of the students I work with show a lack of motivation towards school work and a lack of a global vision of learning. Students with learning delays frequently display specific cognitive characteristics, such as a poorly organized knowledge base, difficulties with organization, transfer and generalization, and weak associative functions1. So, I asked myself the following questions: how can we support the student effectively? What should I prioritize, given the limited time available for my intervention? How could I convey to the student a sense of pleasure and of schoolwork? So I decided to look for answers in neuroscience, neuropsychology and neuropedagogy3. Without falling into the educational illusion that neuroscience can explain and guide everything, it must be said that it does provide a scientific and up-to-date basis for teaching that is likely to enlighten practice.

This book is the result of a research financed by the National Research Council (CNPq), through which the issue of child aggressiveness was investigated. The theme has generated concern worldwide, which mobilized the researchers to understand the phenomenon and seek ways to help children in a public school in São Paulo. The general objective of the research was to investigate the possible causes of aggressive manifestations in a child of a public school of early childhood education and to carry through intervention in the sense of contributing to the quality of its interpersonal relations. To do so, it had as specific objectives: 1 - to identify the relationship difficulties presented by the child; 2 - to reconstruct her life history; and 3 - to provide the child with moments of shelter, expression and possible conflict elaboration through playful activity.

Executive Functions are among the most complex aspects of cognition and involve different components, and such complexity is also reflected in conceptual definitions, since there is still no consensus about their definition. Currently, however, several authors agree that Executive Functions are an integrated system comprising distinct domains such as flexibility, updating, inhibition, alternation, and planning. The complexity of the construct reflects directly on the assessment of executive functions and the construction of appropriate tasks, since they do not measure only one skill. Additionally, several studies emphasize that executive functions develop throughout the child's growth, and the relationship with academic performance is well established in the literature. This research is part of a larger project whose main objective is to develop and propose a battery that evaluates distinct domains of executive functions, so that it can be used with several participants of different age groups, from infancy to adulthood, and also by different intellectual and socioeconomic levels.

Paul Ricoeur rehabilitated the Aristotelian concept of "phronesis", translating it into practical wisdom, and dialectically conjugated it with the central concepts of the philosophy of Kant and Hegel. Practical wisdom corresponds to the later branch of ethics, participating in the dynamics of praxis, itself a tributary of an earlier ethics, anchored in life and desire. More than a system, a great hermeneutic bridge is built between a moral of teleological character and another, of deontological matrix. Practical wisdom participates in the tragic of human action, where it is often necessary to choose the lesser evil, and realizes the potential presupposed in the anthropological category of capable man. Rooted in the sense of justice and equity, as in Aristotle, practical wisdom is not understood as a case-by-case judgment, but takes into account experience, combining a teleological and deontological perspective.

Human resources management in public-sector companies remains a headache, because of the way it is recruited, trained, remunerated, assessed, promoted and motivated. It's worth noting that some countries and structures that have followed the procedures of key personnel management practices have reaped many benefits; we hope the same will be true for the managers of this hospital in meeting their expectations. We hope that our research has not only contributed to a better understanding of the problems and impacts of poorly applied human resources management practices on hospital performance, but that it has also had the effect of stimulating research aimed at developing a model for effective human resources management in the health sector in the DRC.

The advancement of information and communication technology in society has directly impacted education by developing distance education programs and changing the pedagogical methods of learning. This study was conducted with MBA undergraduate students with a distance learning program. The sample included 12 students and the instruments selected to obtain the results were an electronic survey with surveymonkey.com software to collect demographic data of the participants and a semi-structured interview with open-ended questions by Zoom. Qualitative methodology with a descriptive phenomenological design was used for the study; the description of the students' approaches and opinions were emphasized. The design used contributed to the knowledge of school realities; especially, to the experiences of the actors of the formative process: in our particular case, university students. The study made it possible to know how different factors or variables that are determinant in the quality of the program intervene.

Discover the military logistics techniques that have been applied by armies from ancient times to the present day and the errors and successes in the practical application of basic logistical principles. From the study of this technical-historical book, we will conclude that, as it has been throughout history, "an army moves on its stomach". It will be demonstrated once again that the scientific branch of the Art of War (logistics) less commented and taken into account, is in fact the cornerstone of success in war, always counting in our study, in addition, with the influence of the human spirit, "which can upset the cold logistical calculations", since in war "the moral is to the physical (logistics) as three is to one".

Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is the second most common chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease after rheumatoid arthritis. This pathology has been evolving for several years, in terms of classification and nosology, as well as comorbidities, imaging and therapeutic advances. SpA encompasses different phenotypic forms (radiographic or non-radiographic axial, peripheral articular, enthesitic articular). Extra-articular manifestations (such as psoriasis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and anterior uveitis) help to better characterize the phenotype of the disease. Although the clinical presentation varies from patient to patient, there is growing evidence of premature cardiovascular risk and increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in this population. Two recent meta-analyses have suggested that the increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in SpA is related to early and accelerated atherosclerosis.

Drug use is a real public health problem. Worldwide, it is estimated that more than 77 million people use cannabis, while the use of LSD is generally low and has been stable for several years. Drugs generally act on the reward system, leading to dependence. Their use causes numerous psychological and somatic problems. This book aims to show the effects of two psychoactive substances: cannabis, with THC as its active ingredient, which acts on the reward circuit, leading to dependence, and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), a hallucinogenic chemical that also acts on the reward circuit.

This book is part of an inclusive education approach, with a particular focus on the two-fold issue of school maladjustment, i.e. for children with specific learning difficulties and for gifted children.Generally speaking, failure at school is often considered to be the result of a child's negligence or laziness, whereas failure is a real symptom masking a number of factors that require specialist consultation in the same way as an organic pathology. The case of gifted children is another issue that we look at in depth, in that when a gifted child attends an ordinary school, he or she becomes maladjusted, because the school doesn't suit him or her and he or she is wasting time, so a specialized school adapted to his or her level is needed. These two issues are analyzed and guidelines are given to school heads on how they can manage the two issues in depth, within the framework of inclusive education, while determining the principles of refernce and counter-reference.

The conception of this work was the result of the research experiences of the organizers in health institutions involving the themes of quality, patient safety and hospital accreditation. The reading and the study start with Primary Health Care and the importance of this dimension to ensure the guarantee of care to the clientele, in line with the principles of the SUS. The chapters extend to the discussion of quality in the hospital environment, treating the process of hospital accreditation in Brazil, with experiences and practical experiences of professionals and organizations in the achievement of excellence. To achieve quality, the institutions need to go through a process of continuous improvement, because what we have in the Brazilian scenario is still a dynamic based on cost reduction and there is no priority on patient safety. These are barriers that need to be overcome to ensure a culture of quality and safety in health.

The problem of art synthesis has been a burning issue for art theorists and practitioners alike for decades. With the emergence of cinematography, the latter's influence on theater was a matter of time. And the first experiments in the synthesis of the two arts confronted stage directors with previously unknown theoretical and practical problems of interaction between the technogenic and "live" components of the production. As a result, there was an objective need to study the conceptual interrelations in a theatrical work based on the interaction of the artistic codes of the two spatial and temporal arts. For a synthetic production to be viable, the process of its creation requires the translation of the "language" of art, from which the borrowing is made, into the "language" of art in which the borrowing is incorporated. This, summarizing the problematic field, means that it is necessary to adapt and transform the borrowings produced, which leads to the question of the importance of understanding and working out the interdisciplinary connections within synthetic productions.

The monograph is a collection that contains theoretical and practical material for working with students in Europic groups, according to the current curriculum. The use of "dead" languages is very convenient in this respect because, first, each word has a definite meaning fixed once and for all and, second, the Latin and Greek roots, having penetrated into all modern languages, have become international.

This monograph reflects the results of the study of socio-psychological characteristics of co-dependence and its impact on the personal characteristics of co-dependents. Based on the analysis of theoretical and methodological bases of social and psychological peculiarities of co-dependency and applied empirical studies of personality traits of co-dependent persons the authors study factors and laws of addictive behaviour development, its characteristics and types. Psychodiagnostic methods of studying personality traits of co-dependent persons offered in the monograph let deeply study and understand factors, regularities and dynamics of development of co-dependency and build rehabilitation and correctional work taking into account these traits. We hope that the monograph will be useful and interesting for psychologists, psychotherapists, specialists in the field of addiction and co-dependent behaviour.

A certain degree of stability can only be achieved through an "agricultural revolution" that confronts "the natives" with the challenge of improving their means of production, profitability and marketing. This improvement requires the introduction and application of research methods and cultivation techniques often influenced by the theories and results of temperate countries. If, in nature, nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything simply transforms itself, any intensive farming technique presupposes adaptations to local conditions (soil, climate, equipment, people's educational evolution). Your studies as a sub-engineer should lead you to study and propose farming methods adapted to these regions. The aim of this project is to enable us to assess your ability to adapt to the requirements of these regions.
