Join this committee, get certified, and go back to school...>But if you play your cards right, you might get 'exceeds' on your evaluation which would bump your annual merit increase by at least eighty-two cents. About this book: This book is a personal, heartfelt guide for single, engaged, newly married Christians and those who have been married for a long time. I've compiled my personal memoirs, notes, and experiences to help Christians in their quest to make relationships and marriages succeed with joy and love through Jesus Christ's teachings. These timeless Biblical principles explore the foundation that makes a marriage strong in knowing and identifying marriage partners, strengthening a marriage, communication, trust, companionship, connection, commitment, compromise, family balance, and love. I've also included in my book 40 Years of Loving and Joyful Marriage. How To Get There?' daily scriptures that relate to and address life's issues with your Christian partner, yourself, and your family. I'll describe this book as a Christian self-help book that provides healing and scriptural messages for singles and marriages. For Christians to survive, especially Christian families, we need to return to God's blessings and teachings. When God is at the center of a marriage (and an individual), we experience peace and love that forms the foundation on which life's happiness is built.

In the era of big hair, massive shoulder pads, Reaganomics and Madonna, four newspaper women are desperately seeking success. Maureen, Tina, Elektra, and Sarah bond over their love of newswriting and cats but learn female friendships can be as tricky to navigate as love affairs. When Sarah slips into unconsciousness after an accident, her friends resort to feline subterfuge to wake her from the state they call "cat dreaming." Cat Dreaming: A Story of Friendships and Second Chances explores the events that brought the friends together and the changes that could pull them apart - unless they accept the faults in each other and in themselves.Inspired by her years in the trenches of journalism at the Boston Herald, the Stamford Advocate and the Associated Press, author Stephanie Schorow takes readers on a wickedly funny and fantastical romp through the 1980s, seeking to answer the question: Why are women often their own worst enemies?

The Christian faith has repeatedly been called a "religion of the book." Along with the incarnate Word and the oral word of preaching, God has chosen the medium of books to proclaim His goodness to us. The Bible is the book per se, and it sets the standard for the Christian faith. The Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century saw the dramatic power of the printed word to bring light out of darkness as literature changed the thought and life of nations. The Reformers used pamphlets and tracts extensively to bring about spiritual revolution-the printing press turned out to be the lever with which the enemy was lifted from his saddle. In A Religion of Books, Bockmuehl traces the role books played in the Reformation and through various movements of the Spirit in the following centuries. He also addresses how the written word shapes political movements and how Christians can continue to use literature to point people to Christ.

"The visualizations here draw their imagery from classical grimoires and Qabalistic philosophy. Plus, they have a specific and useful goal. Each visualization takes you on a journey into the symbolic realm of an archangel, where you are introduced to the entity's sigils and symbols and other sacred imagery before encountering the archangel himself. Each visualization builds upon those before it, until the aspirant has been led through the seven circles of heaven and has established a personal link to the archangel that governs each one. At the end, the aspirant will have learned to recognize the images, seals and symbols they will encounter in the Solomonic and other advanced systems of angel summoning. Such guided visualizations are certainly absent from the medieval texts about angels. So, why should I urge anyone who wishes to work with angels - even Solomonic practitioners - to follow the instructions in this book? Simply put, this book is based upon the same principle I described above: safely establishing first contact. It accomplishes this without resort to the full-fledged summoning ceremonies intended to call the angel down to the physical plane - an advanced practice the grimoires tend to jump into without preamble. This book even includes simple rituals by which you can submit petitions to the archangels in times of need - and these rituals are not entirely removed from the methods of the grimoires. Therefore, working through the steps outlined in this book can serve as a wonderful bridge between "square one" and the fully adept practices of angelic summoning.": From Aaron Leitch's Preface

    1. 'The Christmas Miracle' is a short story written by Charles Egbert Craddock, the pen name of Mary Noailles Murfree. The story follows a man named Jubal Kennedy, who was of the temperament impervious to spiritual subtleties, fain to reach conclusions with the line and rule of mathematical demonstration. Thus, all unreceptive, he looked through the mountain gap, as through some stupendous gateway, on the splendors of autumn; the vast landscape glamorous in a transparent amethystine haze; the foliage of the dense primeval wilderness in the October richness of red and russet; the "hunter's moon," a full sphere of illuminated pearl, high in the blue east while yet the dull vermilion sun swung westering above the massive purple heights. He knew how the sap was sinking; that the growths of the year had now failed; presently all would be shrouded in snow, but only to rise again in the reassurance of vernal quickening, to glow anew in the fullness of bloom, to attain eventually the perfection of fruition. And still he was deaf to the reiterated analogy of death, and blind to the immanent obvious prophecy of resurrection and the life to come. 2. The Riddle of The Rocks is an entertaining tale about two Tennessee families feuding over land and religion. Mary Noailles Murfree (1850-1922) was an American fiction writer of novels and short stories who wrote under the pen name Charles Egbert Craddock. Being lame from childhood, she turned to reading the novels of Walter Scott and George Eliot. In the 1870's she had begun writing stories for Appleton's Journal under the penname of "Charles Egbert Craddock" and by 1878 she was contributing to the Atlantic Monthly. She is considered by many to be Appalachia's first significant female writer and her work a necessity for the study of Appalachian literature, although a number of characters in her work reinforce negative stereotypes about the region. She has been favorably compared to Bret Harte and Sarah Orne Jewett, creating post-Civil War American local-color literature.

This book represents the imperfectly perfect me. The book started off with the intent of just getting my thoughts out onto a piece of paper but ended up evolving into something bigger than me. I want this book to be discussed among people and I want to discuss this book with others. I genuinely don't care if this book ends up getting hated on, or loved on, as long as people form an opinion and let me know what they think it'll make it all worth it. I'm happy that my thoughts have found themselves being read by people.
