My book is the story of the murder of my wife of twenty-seven years and my conviction of her murder. Two FDLE Crime Scene Investigators found male DNA, hairs, and fibers under her fingernails. They found a fingerprint, several bloody shoe prints, a busted master bedroom doorjamb, and an accelerant used to burn my home. All of this evidence was withheld from my defense at my first trial and none of the evidence belonged to me.In 1998, seven years after her murder, I was found guilty of first-degree murder. In 2008, my conviction was overturned with the help of the Innocence Project of Florida. The United States Supreme Court ruled that the FBI's CBLA analysis was junk science. In March 2011, I was tried and convicted again of murdering my wife. In December of 2009, Okaloosa County Sheriff's investigator, Mike Irwin, sent Ms. Hahn into the home of Jackie Long while wearing a wire. Jackie Long confessed to murdering my wife, saying that he, Robert Money, and Donald Courtney "entered Old Man Ates's home in a robbery that went bad." The state withheld that tape from the defense. In 2018, my conviction was overturned. In 2018, the Innocence Project of Florida and the Exoneration Project of Chicago began representing me. On March 11, 2021, my nightmare ended!

This book, My Journey to the Kumbla Nayaks Royal Heritage, is a journey of the author, Kumbla Shrinivas Nayak--from the idyllic paradise village of Kumbla to the city of opportunities, Mumbai, and then going full-circle back to the royal heritage of the Nayaks of Keladi. The book is an attempt to provide a glimpse into his life and reinstate the forgotten contributions of these kings and queens--their bravery, architectural and military prowess, business sense, and other amazing contributions to the country. The forts, temples, and dams built centuries ago still stand as a testament to the great Keladi rulers.

Ever since I was a young child, I fell in love with nursery rhymes and couldn't get enough of them. I read every nursery rhyme that my hands came across. Most of them had deep dark meanings that as a child I could not understand. I often wonder what the author meant. But I loved to look at the illustration and be lost in the world of Mother Goose. As I looked through the telescope of adulthood and read those rhymes, I saw hidden meanings that were too negative to mention and decided to make a few changes. As a born-again believer, I decided to make some positive changes that even adults would enjoy reading. This book introduces Christian spiritual elements and principles to nursery rhyme lovers. It brings new light to a parent reading a book to their child at night without the fear of deciphering questions that the child might ask, while still enjoying the rich bond of interaction between child and adult. As a Christian parent, one might feel that these nursery rhyme books are meaningless and silly and that the child should read books that are more meaningful. But the fact that like Humpty Dumpty we can have our lives shattered and God can put the pieces back together. Or like the three blind mice, blindness can be the darkness removed from our eyes causing us to see that we can see the light and that there is hope. This book can help to develop educational skills and to develop a love for literacy.

Awakening the Healing Power Within is based on my twenty-five years of experience as a health and wellness professional and intuitive healer. It is through the process of counseling hundreds of clients and doing independent research on holistic nutrition and natural therapies that has led me to this point. As a medium, a large part of this book has been channeled during meditation. It is through the help of ascended masters, spirit guides, archangels, and departed healers that enabled me to synthesize these ideas into a coherent book.Awakening the Healing Power Within is designed for individuals to take back their power and learn how to heal themselves. It was Hippocrates who said, "If you are not your own doctor, you are a fool." The intention of this book is to educate and inform the reader so that they may become an advocate for their own health. The only person who can save you from disease and illness is yourself. It is the responsibility of each person to take a proactive approach to their health and wellness.Awakening the Healing Power Within takes the reader from beginning to end on their wellness journey. Within this book are all the resources and information you will need to take back and reclaim your vitality, health, and longevity. It gives information on how to heal the mind, body, and soul from a holistic approach. It is only through mastering all three aspects that true healing is possible. By taking small actionable steps every day toward wellness, the reader will undoubtedly become an improved version of themselves and create changes in their health that seems like miracles. We all have the innate capacity to heal ourselves, as we are spiritual beings having a brief human experience. It is through these spiritual abilities that we possess in each of us and is our birthright that will lead us back to our true state, which is perfect health. Remember, our bodies were designed to function with optimal health, not disease and illness, as most of us have become accustomed to.

Some of the names have been changed to protect the innocent. More of the names have been changed to protect the guilty. And a lot of the time, I just used the person's first name and a letter for their last name. From this book, a person might get the idea that I used to drink a lot and hang around with a lot of alcoholics. The main reason for this is that I used to drink a lot and hang around with a lot of alcoholics. But if it wasn't for all of these idiots, this book would not be possible. After all, how much fun could a person write about a group of guys sitting around playing chess? Huh? Huh? Now you get that same group of guys sitting around guzzling down beers and betting one another on how many chess pieces they can eat in one sitting. Well, that's just funny and something to write about.

This is about how a simple change in jobs changed my whole life forever. I thought I had it made, but unbeknownst to me, my life was about to change and my journey had only just begun. Oh, there were plenty of ups and downs in my life, but I didn't expect it to turn out the way it did in a place I thought I would never have gone. Funny how things work out--after all, a love story has its beginnings, a middle, and an end. You just never know where life will take you.

While touring South America, some of the sites in the amazing and unparalleled Brazil, certainly gave my group the chill. To the ones that asked me, "Conny, what happened on this much-discussed trip?" I always answered, "Yes, it really was off the chart." That being said, I didn't know where to start. One day, the idea popped, I'd write the unbelievable story. Finally, I did and found my glory. Anyone who traveled, or in the midst of traveling, perhaps planning a trip, yes Indeed, This book is a must-read. Anyone employed in the travel industry, prior to your next group booking, consider a break, read this book, before making a mistake. Anyone wishing to become a lawyer, perhaps presently studying for that degree, or now employed in the field of law, busy or not, give this book a fair shot. It's been subdued for a long, long time, revealing the truth is not a crime. What I'm about to expose, may not sit well, however, this story has found its path to show and tell.To an unbelievable journey of the good, bad, ugly and much more, the following true tale will open the door. As you're reading, you'll probably crack a smile, shed a tear, or learn something new, and for some, it'll be a valuable clue.

Since my husband, Troy, had the day off, I am sure he has fed our children, made sure their homework was done, and they had their baths and they are in bed."Troy: "Where in the hell is that useless wife of mine? She should have been home hours ago! Wait till her sorry behind gets in this door."

After years of sacrifice, getting through medical school and residency, a young pediatrician from New York with a wife and three children moved to Montgomery, Alabama, to start a practice and grab some of the good life. They say that if you want to amuse God, make plans; and if you listen on a quiet night, you can still hear the Almighty chuckling over that one. Proving that God does not make deals, two years later, the marriage was over, the house and job were gone, and the world was about as upside down as gravity would permit. With one door definitely closing, a small rural town in Alabama opened its doors and heart to the strange Yankee doctor and made him whole again. For seven years, they nurtured him like a cat taking in a stray duckling, probably thinking, This creature sure is strange, but maybe it will grow into a swan.

Once the bus was filled, a door separating the driver from the inmates was pulled closed and locked by the driver. A seat to the right side of the driver was for his partner. The driver started the engine and pulled the bus up to a check point. A gate pulled open, and the bus pulled in and stopped. The gate closed behind the bus. An officer exited the bus and entered a checkpoint office. He retrieved two pistols. He holstered his and handed the other one to his partner who did the same. This is the story of a family starting with the birth of my grandparents in what is today Belarus in the 1880s. It describes details of extreme living conditions in the shtetls of Czarist Russia and documents the contrast of tremendous financial and social success realized after immigration to the United States. The story evolves with the next generation that was dominated by the actions and narcissism of the firstborn son, Sam. His, for the most part, disregard and disrespect of his father and siblings along with unbridled ambition catapulted him into a position of economic, social, and political power. In short, he was ruthless. The last born, who was more than a decade younger than Sam, was my father Ray. Ray had "two fathers": Philip and a surrogate-Sam. He was dominated by his older brother and accordingly developed a wide range of insecurities which created challenges in his development. On the other hand and in contrast, Ray was born into the "lap of luxury" whereas Sam was born in Russia and grew up with his father's financial and social success. It continues with my own generation and gradually becomes more self-centric. Details of my life of sailing adventures, wilderness living in the mountains, entrepreneurial pursuits/experiences across America, Canada, China, India, Mexico, Turkey, the UK and elsewhere on the globe are described as well. My struggles to discover a balance between "adult behaviors" and taking the time to "smell the roses" are also chronicled.Humor or at least my interpretation of it along with anecdotes and brief philosophizing hopefully make this an enjoyable read.

May God be praised. This book is designed by the Holy Spirit to help every born-again Christian acknowledge their citizenship in the kingdom of heaven here on earth. "Thy kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:11). It is unfortunate that many of us live our lives as defeated Christians, failing to experience the victory in Jesus while we are here on earth. The world is filled with chaos and confusion, and truth be told, life can sometimes be very depressing. However, as Christians, we are called to live a victorious life in the Spirit of Christ every day, regardless of the circumstances of the world. Though we may live in the world, we are not of this world; for we belong to the kingdom of heaven on earth through Christ Jesus. I encourage you to read this book and experience the joy of living in the kingdom.Rev. C. C. Henry Sr.

It was December 1854, French chemist Louis Pasteur, dean of the faculty of sciences at the University of Lille, stated a famous quote, "Chance favors the prepared mind." What does that really mean? Simply put, the better prepared you are, the more likely you can take advantage of new opportunities. Pasteur was a genius who developed vaccines for anthrax and rabies and created the process of pasteurization.Although the future of medicine is not our destiny, the concept of being prepared for retirement is! Why not be ready for this first year of profound transition? For some retirees, the freedom from the old days of relentless toil at work is viewed as a permanent vacation. It's a blessing to feel that way. However, for most of us, there are significant feelings of consternation when leaving behind years of achievement at work. It's okay to feel that way too! This is normal and requires a new perspective. Truly, it takes time and patience to adjust, along with kindness about who we are now, as retirees. This short book, or perhaps a survival guide, is meant to calm fears about the unknown journey of retirement and lifestyle changes. As stated in the title, there is a truth that "happiness favors a prepared mind." It is important to be ready for retirement and should be comforting to know that most of us have the same emotions! The purpose of this book is to share feelings that might be a challenge in your life right now. The author provides a unique story, along with personal experiences and examples, to better understand and kindly accept retirement in year one. It is a conversation that is needed and, hopefully, will be valuable for you!

The purpose of these poems is to make women laugh, which is my passion. But I also want to use these poems for shy men when approaching a girl with the deer stuck in the headline syndrome. If you can break the ice with a funny poem and get her to smile or laugh, it's much easier to talk to her.

A fascinating story of the events that lead to the birth of the State of Israel in 1947-48. Jorge Garcia-Granados was member of UNSCOP, the body created by the UN to investigate and recommend a solution for the issue of Palestine. The British mandate, initiated at the end of WWI, were to finish in 1948.In his own words Ambassador Garcia-Granados reveals the insides of the pressures and international intrigues that took place during the labors of the UNSCOP.The ambassador describes how, during an exploratory trip to Palestine, learns of the bloody repression of the English authorities against the local Jewish population. A highlight of this journey is his meeting with Prime Minister Menachem Begin. Begin at that moment was a leader of a terrorist clandestine group fighting against the British who had a price on his head.He also witnessed the misery and hope of the thousands of European Jews living in post WWII refugee camps trying to reach Israel and repressed at sea by the British Navy. He writes the sad story of the hunt of the wooden ship Exodus told by an eyewitness of the tragedy. The book is still actual, written seventy-five years ago by Ambassador Garcia-Granados. The facts were updated and revised by his grandson Historian Sergio Garcia-Granados.

The Word of God says that the rewards for the prophets, saints (meaning the church), and those that fear God will be given after the sound of the seventh and last trumpet--which sounds, in the book of Revelation, after the kingdoms of this world (or the kingdoms of Satan) become the kingdoms of God. Then Christ will begin to reign on the earth, and it says that time is when the wrath of God (which is not for the church) will come to destroy those that destroyed the earth (Revelation 11:15-18 KJV). So rewards for the church, according to the Word of God, are not going to be given in heaven for seven years prior to Jesus's return but on the earth when Jesus comes back.Jesus said that He will bring His rewards with Him when He comes to reward every man according to His work shall be (Revelation 22:12 KJV).That is when the last trumpet will be sounded at Revelation 11:15-18 (KJV), which is the same trumpet for the resurrection according to 1 Corinthians 15:52 (KJV). So since it says that the resurrection (and or the rapture) of the church will be at the sound of the last trumpet that sounds in the Word of God, rewards cannot and will not be given before Jesus comes to the earth and begins to reign. Therefore, prepare yourself and your family to go through the great tribulation.Hence, the title of the book--the Great Deception.

Poetry has a way of getting one to thinking, maybe ponder a bit. Sometimes it can find a way for someone to reflect into his or her life, like "Moving On" or "Our Greatest Gift."Poetry can also be serene, sentimental, enlightening, or just plain pleasing to read. It can also let someone see the same words differently and mean something else to him or her. That's the power of poetry!Enjoy your read, and let your mind wander.
