The Dance Trance is a book of poems and songs that discusses important and tough life themes. It explores topics such as discouragement, bullying, abuse, anger, and worry. It talks about the pain of loneliness. These are things that people don't talk about in public very often, but they are vital aspects of mental health. They SHOULD be talked about because every person matters. If you are bullied in school and bullied at home and bullied at work, that is inhumane! That is why literature, activism, and speeches help to give marginalized people a voice. They empower them to be creative, inspirational, bold, and brave. It is powerful when people realize that they can take matters into their own hands and control their own destiny. This encourages love, light, friendship, and romance to grow!

MORAL PHILOSOPY:The terms ethics and morality are closely related. We now often refer to ethical judgments or ethical principles where it once would have been more common to speak of moral judgments or moral principles. These applications are an extension of the meaning of ethics.Strictly speaking, however, the term refers not to morality itself but to the field of study, or branch of inquiry, that has morality as its subject matter. In this sense, ethics is equivalent to moral philosophy. Although ethics has always been viewed as a branch of philosophy, its all-embracing practical nature links it with many other areas of study, including anthropology, biology, medicine, economics, history, politics, psychology, sociology, and theology.

Theology was never like this before.'Tell your bosses they have nothing to fear from me,' Nimrod said abruptly. 'We're in the same business.''Er, what?' Ori was nonplussed.'Gods-bothering. The priests and I. Only,' he grinned mischievously, 'I'm better at it. I'm really going to bother those gods. Better than they've ever been bothered in their miserable lives.' Nimrod looked eerily triumphant. In the beginning was The Penthouse. But The Penthouse was boring. Nothing but singing and dancing angels. And eyes. Lots of eyes. Ori, who only had two, plus a pair of wings, decided to jump into the celestial Paternoster and see what was out there.Ori saw plenty.Follow Ori's journey through ancient Mesopotamia. Marvel at the five-legged lamassu. Catch up on all the latest gossip about Nimrod. Meet the cats of Halab. Groan at the oldest jokes on record. Have you ever sat back and thought about when babies are born if the baby is a boy he gets blue socks, and if the baby is a girl she gets pink socks. Well to be honest I never did, it was until I started to take a real hard look at domestic abuse/violence and wanted to trace this gender divide as for back as I could that the thought of why blue socks and pink socks came up for me. As I thought about it more and more I started to understand that this divide between boys and girls played a real big role in divide between men and women. From birth boys and girls have been looked at in different ways, now I could understand that from a physical stand point they are, but I am not speaking about the physical body. When I say looked at differently I am speaking in terms of a power dynamic that is placed upon both, the boy is to be stronger and more dominate "Blue Socks" while the girl is looked at as weaker and more submissive "Pink Socks". Now if one is suppose to be stronger "Blue Socks "and the other weaker "Pink Socks" it would be no real surprise to a society that the boundary lines between men and women are blurred. It would be so unfair of me to place blame on one parent the other because both are equal in the process of be life system the child has us. She/he grows up "please make a note of she/he no he/she". What I will attempts to do by writing this small book is give it my best shot to bring more of an understanding to what is known as "Man Rules". What are man rules; man rules are thought, understandings, and belief thus shape the core belief system of men, these rules are given to young boys and show them how a man should be. Please understand that I do understand that there are things that young boys should be taught that will help them live a very productive life, but what we will look at in this book are the rules that are destructive and lead to abuse and violence.

The Yale Russian Chorus (YRC) is a unique phenomenon-part singing group, part fraternity, part discussion group-that started in 1953 at Yale at the height of the Cold War, a time when exhibiting a strong interest in matters Russian and Soviet could be seen as suspect in the USA. It developed into a respectable tenor-bass chorus, which has participated in and won prizes at major international choral festivals. In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Chorus's founding, the YRC Alumni Association has published this new songbook, to document music that the Chorus has sung in the past and to provide a resource for the future. We hope that it will also prove useful for other singing groups that wish to incorporate this music into their repertoire.
