"'The stories don't work, you know.'"That's all it took to set me off. Someone I knew - not a friend - an acquaintance had the nerve, the temerity, the-the-the audacity to tell me that the stories told in each episode of my beloved Doctor Who since the show returned to our TV screens in 2005 ... don't stand up to scrutiny."That is how Mike Sivier embarked on a quest to cast a critical eye - and ear - over the world's longest-running TV science fiction drama, in an attempt to establish the facts. The results are contained here... and they may surprise you!

Some of my earliest memories on Sunday mornings were in my grandmother's Children's Church Services. And, it wasn't just me! She taught this class for decades. I have no idea how many lives she touched. Long before the Internet with resources at your fingertips, Grandma created a lot of her own materials. I most remember her ABCs Bible verses. Except, it was a long time ago. I didn't remember all the verses. To create this book, I relied on my memory, asked my cousins, reviewed a list my mother wrote, and made a few personal changes when other verses inspired some illustrations.Of course, Grandma only used the King James Version of the Bible. I mostly used the New King James Version. I hope that my grandma doesn't mind.

The triplets in this family think they are ready for just another day of school. As it turns out, each of them faced unexpected problems, problems that bothered them for the rest of the day. Mama knew that they needed to tell someone -- her! -- about the day each of them experienced. At the same time, she explained to them her concept of Triple Gratitude. When you think of three really positive things that happened during the day, it makes any and all problems feel a whole lot smaller. Some of this book is taken from my own life story. The take away centers on thankfulness. When I told one of my friends that every night I think about the three best things that happened during the day, she said, "You must write a book about that." It's how this book came to be. I am not sure where I came up with the idea of triple gratitude. Certainly, I'm not the first person to accentuate the positive to eliminate the negative. But, at a time in my life when a lot of things were going wrong, I decided this might be a good practice to live by. And, I continue to count to three every night. A little more truth? I've never been in love with math or spelling tests. I did outgrow a childhood bully! And, the Jeremy in my life already knew about Orion. If you like the story, I hope that you, too, will adopt the habit of triple gratitude. Some days it may be hard to find three things. Hopefully, there will also be many days when you just can't stop at three.

The charming Liebeslieder Waltzer, or Love Song Waltzes, by Johannes Brahms were immediately so popular with singers and audiences that Brahms composed a second collection. This edition of that collection, the equally lovely Neue Liebeslieder, or New Love Songs, has English translations which follow the meaning and spirit of the original German texts as closely as possible whilst respecting the rhyme structure and metre of the poems. They are presented here with a solo piano reduction of the piano duet score for convenience in rehearsal. For clarity, the German text is not included.

In this collection, we delve into Farahat's unique perspective, which offers a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Egyptian life and culture. His poetry exhibits a distinctive Nubian specificity, capturing the essence of this often-overlooked community and celebrating their contributions to Egyptian society. One of the defining traits of Farahat's work is his affinity for the Egyptian common man. Through his verses, he depicts the details of everyday life in Egypt, unraveling the intricacies and complexities that shape the experiences of ordinary people. This focus on the common man serves as a bridge, connecting readers to the heart and soul of Egyptian society. The land of Egypt, with its unparalleled historical and cultural heritage, features prominently in Farahat's poetry. However, it is the majestic Nile River that assumes a central role within his verses. Referred to as "the Nile bride," the river serves as both a symbol and a muse, weaving its way through the fabric of his work and immersing readers in its ancient allure.
