I'm Jana Tayfour, a dreamer like Anne Shirley, free spirited like Jo March and a headstrong girl like Lizzy Bennet. Writing is my passion , and I always wished I could publish something of my own. This collection of simple poems or thoughts are how I used to express my feelings to myself in my comfort zone. Not a lot of people have seen them or read them. I'm giving my thoughts the chance now to see the light. The Thoughts are nothing professional , but just a spontaneous wave of thoughts.

Reflections on Reality is my observation of mostly my reality. The reality of what I've dealt with in the past few years and the deep thoughts and feelings I may not verbally express regarding it, but, rather put down on paper. Intertwined with those are many other random thoughts that I wrote. Nonetheless I welcome you to my Reflections on Reality.

""Dreams, wishes, hopes, and fears. Everyone has them, but why don't we act. Through the nonsensical, the truth, the lies, and the risk. We never know what to do, what is right, or where to begin. Some of these poems may resonate with you, or maybe not. There is good, green and downright ugly. Where do you start?""

This collection of poetry and short stories is all based on my life. It has many insights within it, brought to me by my guardian spirits and lessons learned through those gifts. Many are light filled and happy, others dark and broody, a balance of dark and light, as I am. This book is a fluctuating scale that represents the struggle for me to accept both the light and dark parts of myself and to always try to stay in the grey. To walk the line with balance and strength so as to stay in the lighter side and not fall off completely into the darkness. But as I know all too well, there is no light without darkness and no darkness without light. Neither can be seen without the other's presence.

""""""Little Footprints On Her Heart"""" is basically a collection of poems written as a tribute to all those women who have desperately tried to become mothers and have experienced the challenges of conception or have witnessed the tragic exit of their unborn or young child at an early age.It is a collection of several experiences shared with the writer who has expressed different situations on their behalf. Some poems are merely a prayer in poetry, some are a motivation to the woman to move on, and some are messages, that there is much more than just """"childbearing,"""" and some have subtle elements of humor in the pathetic phases they have been through. Not necessarily does a woman become a mother through """"child birth."""" only. She can still be defined as a mother if she possesses those maternal traits of being caring, loving, and having the sweetest temper in understanding others. Some Indian communities can be hilarious at times when it comes to carefully monitoring the life of a young woman. Once married, oh, she has to have a child! If she does have her first one, there needs to be a sibling to grow up with; so she needs to have the next one! With all due respect, of course, many of these featherbrained half-witted people in some areas have become extinct; however, you will be surprised! Not everyone comprehends what a woman goes through when she has tried everything, just to see the face of her child and fails at it. The book can also be considered as a message to those who have been there .. done that; and are striving to step out in the sun and see more than just that little """"bundle of joy.""""""

On The Edge Of Mediocrity challenges the measurements used to distinguish 'good' from 'bad', if such opinions can ever really be that simple. Refrigerator masterpieces and rejected museum artwork meet their written counterparts as value is left on the cover page and experience takes over. Twenty-one stories, spanning from a few words to multiple stanzas, lie waiting to be read - not to be judged or appreciated, but simply to exist as a moment that happened. Regardless of legacy, these poems only strive to persist on the edge of mediocrity

Dose of the Dozens was written as part of a 21 day poetry challenge. The title "Dose of the Dozens" was a play on the number 21 backwards as the poems in this novel detail the tug of war between wanting to stay in the past versus seeking hope and wanting to forth in the future. These poems details the dangers in dancing back and forth with rumination and how one can still seek balance in such turbulent patterns. These poems convey the salient message of vulnerability and resilience that comes with introspection and the willingness to move forward with newfound insight.

Surrendered is a collection of poems about life and about love, and the true beauty that can come from a heart that is surrendered: to growth, to life, to love, but most importantly to the Lord. ""This book is a compilation of poems written over twenty-one days. They are not perfect; they are written and published as a reminder of my imperfections. The ones in our every day life which we choose to ignore, instead of embrace. These poems were inspired by the events that occurred within those days, and mostly by the passing of my maternal grandmother, Titem, which occurred on the first Friday of this journey. This book is the first step in making my mark as a published writer and poet. As daunting as it can be to publish work written over such a short period of time, it was very much needed. The wavering one in me; I needed to Let Her Go.""

I'm the kind of person who will only write when exactly the right inspiration strikes, which tends to come in whatever I'm feeling strongly about. As such, I find there's rarely much consistency in the themes of my poems, so this book is a selection of snippets, 'moments in time' if you will, that show some insight into my head and heart.
