I chose to write about my experiences because I want people-- the general public we protect on a daily basis and whose safety and security we ensure by supervising offenders--to know what we experience daily, mentally and physically. Once you report for duty, you don't know what can happen from one minute to the next. Things can happen so quickly--you could be assaulted or severely injured, or you could lose your life. There are some made-for-television movies that are not real. However, it is entertainment.

I never once thought about this until someone asked me if my writings were prose or poetry. Well, I believe them to be a little of each, a novelty if you will. After all, everyone is different. A few are soundly different, meaning they carry my own thoughts, feelings, past actual events, and all the while, are dotted with my psychological expressions. While serving in the military, I wrote Alexandria, The Tradition's Enemy and Symbols, among others. I've never been bound by any one ideological view, as you, the reader, will surely notice. I feel my little book (A Delighted Bat) will be a different read. It's like a jigsaw puzzle once you think a piece is missing, you find it.

What are the odds of a marriage lasting 60 years? Experts calculate that only 1 in 600,000 marriages will last 60 years. And .001 per 1,000 will last 70 years. It is our goal to break the world's record of 90 years or die happy trying. That's another 30 years ... how in our world can you live that long?We believe we are our reality, due to our lifestyle, and everyone we meet wants to know "what's your secret for being married 60 years looking as good as you two look and how can we get what you've got"? With tongue in cheek, I get a laugh, when I say its 'Sex, Kids and Rock-N-Roll." But in essence, it's a give and take loyal partnership and we have defied the conventional aging wisdom ... which is to retire at 55, 60 or 65 and start the dying process. We, however, in our early seventies, acquired three nursing homes then sold them in our late seventies and started a new career ... co-writing this book about how our vows formed a lasting happy relationship, and reformed them if needed, to stay happily married together forever after...

The story for this book is based on the author's true experience and its intention is to give a perspective on Ayahuasca ceremonies, for those who might be wondering if it is for them.At the same time the insights around where and how we are giving our power away on a daily basis are explored, and how to shift to taking your power back, if that is your desire.

Several years ago, I read the diary of St. Faustina about divine mercy and became devoted to the idea that Gods greatest attribute is his mercy and the promise he made to those who say the Divine Mercy Chaplet with or for a dying person that that person will die not only peacefully but also that Jesus will act as the giver of divine mercy, not as just judge. When I actually witnessed the peaceful death of a friend for whom I prayed the regular chaplet, I became a very strong believer and advocate of this prayer. But Jesus asks us to meditate on his sorrowful passion, not just to robotically say words. So, I tried to put meditative thoughts to go with the prayer, not to be read daily but to be a fertile resource for helping us to meditate on Jesus sorrowful passion for both the chaplet and the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary.

This guide will outline two basic styles of camping: car camping with the site next to the car and parking the car and walking into the campsite.

Clare and Mary Ellen shared a magical spiritual journey on Earth. Willie, Clare's dog was part of the assignment. They visited a healing pond where they shared an adventure.She struggled with Mary Ellen's death. Her mother and Mary Ellen's mom did not believe about her presence in spirit.She and Mary Ellen shared humorous moments during their journey. One moment was at the psychologist's office. Dr. Goodall believed Clare about Mary Ellen's presence when he witnessed the magic.In the end, Clare's mother believed her daughter saw Mary Ellen's presence in spirit. Mary Ellen made a connection with her mother. Clare released her anger and experienced a magical wonderland in the cemetery with Raphael.

I'm constantly intrigued about the world around me. I recently read an article about Human Trafficking. I'd heard stories about people that become addicted and find themselves on the streets selling themselves, normally for sex. I was not aware that slavery still existed. Of my many travels I did spend time at the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, and at St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlin. This story is fiction. The description of the Tribal Police has been colored Tony Hillerman who wrote about the Navajo Tribal Police. Although this story is fiction, unfortunately these events take place all too often. In my imagination it only made sense to me to have living bodies close to medical facilities where they could be used. Although it is not legal to pay for organs there is still people who will pay a great deal of money for living organs. Storage and preservation solutions are transported to the donor hospital within the temperature-controlled polyurethane container, and the organs are returned in the same container, within an inflatable cushion. This method is the preferred method of transportation of tissue and organs. This method offers advantages over the more conventional methods of organ storage with regard to convenience, temperature control, and sterility. The science of organ transplants has come a long way. There are many people living today because someone authorized the transplant of his organ.

I have a story to tell you! It is a very familiar story to me because it is my story. Please let me take you back with me in time so you can see how God changed my life. My life was shattered and empty until I met Jesus. As you read the following pages, you will see how sin can break a family and individuals. You will also read how God can take not just one but three children, whose lives were broken, and make them apart of His family and service.

The story is about a woman who goes through so much suffering but finally finds the way back to the comfort of her own home.The author is a longtime resident of Montreal. He fled poverty and unemployment from his country of origin and has found peace and contentment in Canada. He speaks Spanish, English and French and has worked in a calling center and the kitchen. He is single and lives alone.

In the midst of the world's uncertainty of the 1960s, a boy and a girl meet and fall in love. They both learn that rather than wait until a storm stops, you should learn to dance in the rain. Together, over fifty years, they find that their lives, their dreams, the love they share, and their future are always just a breath away.

In the last half of the twentieth century, Russia and the United States were involved in what was classified as the Cold War. Both countries had large arsenals of nuclear warheads and large land and sea armed forces. Sometimes, both sides utilized extraordinary tactics to achieve the balance of power. This story, although fictitious, demonstrates how certain factions try to take an upper hand by the kidnapping of a physicist and a rescue mission across deserts in the Middle East, which almost brings the world to a thermonuclear war.

This book is the third, but first published, writing on the doctrine of eternal salvation and only reflects a portion of the many studies undertaken to refine his understanding of biblical truths, and to separate fact from philosophically imposed teaching. Russell lives in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. He is a husband and father to six children and to six grandchildren. He is a graduate of Queen's University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Counselling. He has been involved in Christian ministry for over fifty years since having made a commitment to Christ through confession of belief. He was brought up in a family of nine children and was encouraged to attend church. An eternal need was awakened in him through the challenges of the Word while attending a Bible-believing and teaching body. He soon took interest in hearing God's words and through small group studies and teaching opportunities he developed an unquenchable thirst for understanding and truth. As his knowledge grew, opportunities were provided to teach the youth and to become involved in sharing words from the pulpit. His commitment led him to become active in Sunday School as a teacher and local superintendent. He became inspired to lead weekly Bible studies in a nearby church plant and after thirty years it remains a thriving and growing body. He took over responsibility for his church youth group and from it several pastors have been birthed. This ministry eventually led to participation in the start-up of a local Youth for Christ chapter. He served in the capacity of board member for almost twenty years and eventually was elected to the Youth for Christ Canada board of directors where he served for a nine-year period.

I decided by the grace of God to write this book because faith has been misunderstood by many. Everything man needs has already been packaged by God, because everything in the physical has a spiritual root. Faith is what takes us into the realm of the spirit. This is a story of two sweethearts, their meeting, and their life.This story would never have happened if Don had not asked Nancy at the last minute to go with him to the prom. Nancy had been praying that God would provide a suitable date for the Prom. Don came out of the nowhere he gave her a handcrafted note to meet him after Physics class for lunch. At a party during a spin the bottle game and got to kiss Nancy the first time. Neither forgot this encounter. Nancy was a cute little brunette with an infectious smile. Don called the "Shadow of your smile". Nancy accepted the lunch invitation. When at lunch Don ask Nancy to go to the Prom with him. Nancy said, "In a surprised look and haltingly said yes". Don did think he was up to Nancy's standards and was equally surprise when Nancy said, "yes".Don was a well-built young man lettering in all sports. However, the last two years of school he was scarce around the campus but was in the top of his class scholastically. Many of the female classmates had their eyes on Don. Don asked if he could take Nancy home to meet her mother. He, also, asked Nancy to go to breakfast in the morning. Nancy said, "I don't why because it is Saturday". Don told Nancy he would like to show Nancy how he made his living. He wanted to keep her until 5:00 PM, and Nancy was assured she would not be bored. She did know it yet but was about to go on the most usual breakfast date of her young life. Ask God your needs, believe him and hang on for the ride!

It was March 1977, and the harsh winter began to give way to forty-degree weather. We have survived another harsh winter a winter in most eyes that was unforgiving. Most cars lay buried deep beneath the snow, not a single indentation of a cars roof but level ground as far as the eye could see. The snow must have been at least ten feet deep if it wasn't a foot. January's harsh weather was far from being over; ice lined the edges of the sidewalks, turning into slush sliding down the sewers, cleansing the streets as its final winter act. I must say, if I said I didn't mine the snow, I would be lying are being paid to make such a ridiculous statement. I hated going to school in the early mornings during the winter months. I also hated going to school in the early mornings in the spring and fall months. I guess you can say I didn't enjoy the educational process.

Finally, is an assortment of several poems with intense meanings behind them.Celebrity Crushes was inspired by a few of my favorite celebrities, fellow writers and close friends. Reflections of an Icon came to mind when I scrolled across an image of Charlie Wilson. In Chapter 2, Celebrity Test consists of 10 questions that test your knowledge to see how much you know about a certain celebrity or entertainer. Inside Chapter 3 Entertainers & Show-Stoppers took place with some soulful R&B musicians in mind. Then there's Chapter 4 Celebrity Crush 101 which describes who a person celebrity crush is and why.
