When we tell a story, we give a gift. Every story shared, every voice that rings out, every book exchanged, becomes more than words and objects. Stories are a priceless connection-a testament to our shared humanity, our hopes, and our dreams. In this special collection of flash fiction stories from around the world, join us in celebrating the power of storytelling and the gifts that it brings us. This anthology was created in partnership with the Gifts and Books exhibition at the Bodleian Libraries, which was curated by Nicholas Perkins, Professor and Tutor in English, St Hugh's College, University of Oxford. The Bodleian is one of the world's great libraries, and provides one of the largest library services in Europe. Founded in 2020, Oxford Flash Fiction Prize CIC is a new international writing competition dedicated to discovering the greats in flash fiction from all around the world by levelling the playing field in the arts.
