A jewel, regardless of its origin and unique characteristics, has value. Just as each jewel in the world is different, so is each person. As women, each attribute that makes us different, makes us who we are and we should take pride in ourselves and our unique facial features, tone of voice, height, skin tone, hair texture, size, age, etc. We can be critical of ourselves and may even have a wish list of things that we would change if we could. When we feel this way, we should ask ourselves, "If I could change something about myself, would it be something that I could change through effort and discipline, or would it have to do with changing something about the way God made me?" I Peter 2:9 says, But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
