This book is divided into seven chapters. In the first chapter, we discuss the development of supersymmetry (SUSY) in quantum mechanics, PT symmetry and construction of exactly solvable real as well as complex systems in detail. The basics about SUSY in quantum mechanics, the PT symmetry in non-hermitan quantum systems, the newly discovered exceptional orthogonal polynomials (EOPs) and the important methodologies, which have been used to obtain the important results in the other chapter of the book are described in the second chapter. Some important properties of SUSY and PT symmetry are also discussed in the same chapter. In chapter 3, we study the different rationally extended SIPs associated with Xm EOPs using Co-ordinate transformation approach. These are rationally extended radial oscillator, rationally extended trigonometric Scarf (also known as Scarf-I) potential, rationally extended generalized Poschl-Teller (GPT) and extended Poschl-Teller-II potentials. The bound state solutions of all these real extended potentials are also obtained in terms of exceptional Laguerre (in the case of extended radial oscillator potential) and exceptional Jacobi (in the case of extended Scarf-I and GPT potentials) orthogonal polynomials. A well known complex and PT symmetric rationally extended potential, the extended Scarf-II potential is also considered and solutions of this potential are also obtained. The scattering state solutions for some of the these extended potentials are also obtained in Chapter 4. In chapter 5 and 6, we construct some of these potentials using group theoretic method and obtain their bound as well as scattering state solutions.

The internationalization of mathematics education has become an inevitable trend, and bilingual education is the booster to realize the internationalization of mathematics education. For the freshmen majoring in science and engineering, it is not realistic to choose the first-year mathematics basic courses such as advanced mathematics and linear algebra as the bilingual teaching object; it is not the best choice for the bilingual teaching object compared with the senior mathematics courses, such as Function of Real Variables, Functional Analysis and Topology of Point Set, which are more difficult; "Complex Variable Functions" is a relatively easy mathematics course, which is the extension and supplement of higher mathematics. This book is divided into nine chapters, which systematically introduces the basic theory and methods of complex variable function, including complex number and complex variable function, analytic function, integral of complex variable function, power series representation of analytic function, Laurent expansion of analytic function and its isolated singularities, residue theory and its application, conformal mappings. This book is suitable for teachers and students of science and engineering major in colleges and universities all over the country, and can also be read and referenced by engineering and technical personnel.

This Book provides an analysis of the protection of Foreign Direct Investments in the OHADA area, specifically, its regulation by the Treaty of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA Treaty). It is to restore legal and judicial security within their scope that OHADA member countries have undertaken to harmonize and unify their economic sector legislation to attract foreign investment as a factor in Economic Development. Several national and international legal instruments are responsible for the protection of foreign direct investment in OHADA countries. Indeed, the volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) to developing countries increased considerably during the 1990s; As Africa is now one of the favorite destinations for Western and even African investors, it is becoming a very profitable continent for investors. However, the issue of regulating or securing foreign investment in African countries is still flawed. If we stick to the purpose of the organization prescribed in paragraph 5 of the preamble to the OHADA Treaty, which states that the purpose of the OHADA law is to "promote the growth of economic activity and encourage investment." given the definition of business law by Article 2 of that treaty, although the list of subjects is not exhaustive, investment remains absent. Thus, Foreign Investment is not regulated by the OHADA Treaty, so even investment-related activities are regulated by other subjects like corporate law, commercial law, security law. This work proposes a reflection that the OHADA Treaty should be modernized through reform including investment and many other issues to deal effectively with the issue of foreign investment given the ineffectiveness of national and subregional instruments in this area.

After analyzing the similes in Plato's Dialogues and Homer's poems I have worked on similes in the Bible, Lucretius and Vergil. This study will concentrate on the latter two authors, beginning with a discussion of terms: simile, analogy, and figurative versus literal comparisons. I will follow a definition of simile as "a figurative comparison in which both tenor and vehicle are expressed (with or without a prothesis)" in contrast to a metaphor, which is "an implied comparison in which only the vehicle is stated." This differs slightly from the traditional definition going back to Aristotle (Rhetoric Book 3.4.1-4 [1406b- 1407]), who famously distinguished the two figures by citing an example from the Iliad (e.g., 20.164) where Achilles [tenor] 'rose up like a lion [vehicle]' (hôrto leôn hôs). If Homer had said simply "he rose up, a lion" that would be a metaphor since no word is included to indicate the shift in meaning (metaphora) of the word 'lion' from its literal to a more symbolic sense. The purpose of this study is to provide translations of all the similes in the six books of Lucretius' De Rerum Natura and in Vergil's poems. Three tables and ten appendices reveal various aspects of the poems (like factual comparisons, alliteration and duplicate passages). This has never been done so thoroughly and with such a clear distinction between similes and metaphors. The tables clarify the distribution of the similes in both authors; the conclusion summarizes the numbers, subject matter and the reasons for similes in Latin writers. Thus a thorough examination of this topic will help the reader gain a greater appreciation of the use of simles in Roman authors.

  • - The Case of Jordan
    av Ahmad Mohammad Obeid Gharaibeh
    1 145,-

There are many factors that influence and determine the level of foreign direct investment (FDI) in a certain country. Investment incentives, other things being equal, are effective in attracting FDI and altering the foreign direct investment location decision if, and only if, they are properly introduced and well administered. However, incentives (government promotional policies) may be negated by other regulatory policies often adopted regarding foreign investment. The Jordanian government has striven, for decades, to attract foreign investments. The government has undertaken many changes and amendments to the laws and regulations pertinent to foreign investments. However, the level of foreign investment in Jordan is still negligible, compared with the government's aspirations and desires. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the importance of investment incentives in attracting FDI from the perspective of both the government officials and foreign investors. In addition, it is intended to investigate the role of regulatory policies in deterring foreign investment. The first part outlines the problem, and the objectives of the study, with a review of the literature relevant to the subject and the impact of FDI specifically in Jordan. The research method and field work procedures are described in detail and then the results of the empirical studies are presented and analysed in detail. Finally, the conclusions reached are given, together with some recommendations for further research into the subject.

  • - An Analytical Overview in Respect of Bangladesh
    av Nazmul Islam Chowdhury
    539,-

Bangladesh is a country which became independent by doing successful exercise of Unilateral Declaration of Independence. Since the independence, the country has been seeing political turmoil from time to time. The Constitution of Bangladesh authorizes the Legislative body to enact law for indemnifying the persons who might have violated fundamental rights of another person or persons, in the event of national liberation struggle or in the process of maintaining public order and peace. The State heads and Parliament had enacted a total of three indemnity laws in the past n Bangladesh. But a question remains that, whether such enactments of indemnity were within the ambit of Article 46 of the Constitution of Bangladesh or not. Another fact which is needed to be checked is whether Article 46 of the Constitution of Bangladesh is corroborative to the spirit of Chapter III of the Constitution of Bangladesh. This research is conducted in a qualitative approach, for finding out the legality of the statutes of indemnity in Bangladesh. The purpose of this paper is to find the validity of the previously enacted indemnity laws of Bangladesh. This paper will also try to find the situation in which or in aftermath of which an indemnity law may be enacted by the Parliament by using the power delegated to it by Article 46 of the Constitution of Bangladesh. This paper will also put focus on the ambiguity of the provision of Article 46 of the Constitution of Bangladesh and will try to address the matter that, may be a scope has been left by Article 46 for enacting indemnity laws by ratifying illegal actions of people.

In this paper in an elegant way will be present that the gravitational fine-structure constant is a simple analogy between atomic physics and cosmology. We will find the expression that connects the gravitational fine-structure constant with the four coupling constants. Perhaps the gravitational fine-structure constant is the coupling constant for the fifth force. Also will be presented the simple unification of atomic physics and cosmology. We will find the formulas for the cosmological constant and we will propose a possible solution for the cosmological parameters. Perhaps the shape of the universe is Poincaré dodecahedral space. This article will be followed by the energy wave theory and the fractal space-time theory.

Motivated by the regulatory changes undertaken in India through the banking system for enhancing access of people to financial services, this study investigates relationship of financial inclusion with economic growth. It has drawn its conclusions from empirical evidences collected from beneficiaries of inclusive policies in a chosen district of the country. Using statistical hypothesis testing procedures like t-Test and ANOVA for inferential analysis, it has been found that financial inclusion has significantly positive relation with growth and poverty alleviation. As per the key findings of the study, it has been statistically proved through empirical evidences that there has been significant interventions from the side of the Government for financial inclusion in Khordha district and because of these financial inclusion initiatives a significant economic growth led by financial inclusion has happened in the district. But, as per the study economic growth led by financial inclusion has not happened uniformly across demographic segments. Rural population, people in younger age group, male, well educated and mostly with small businesses as their occupation have been benefitted most by the FI intervention. Though there are many positive signs in this, still it cannot be ignored that female population and those who are less educated have not been benefitted more.

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) accumulate in the solid tumor microenvironment (TME) and have been shown to promote tumor growth and dampen antitumor immune responses. TAM-mediated suppression of T-cell antitumor reactivity is considered to be a major obstacle for many immunotherapies, including immune checkpoint blockade and adoptive T/CAR-T-cell therapies. An ex vivo culture system closely mimicking the TME can greatly facilitate the study of cancer immunotherapies. Here, we report the development of a 3D TME-mimicry culture that is comprised of the three major components of a human TME, including human tumor cells, TAMs, and tumor antigen-specific T cells. This TME-mimicry culture can readout the TAM-mediated suppression of T-cell antitumor reactivity, and therefore can be used to study TAM modulation of T-cell-based cancer immunotherapy. As a proof-of-principle, the studies of a PD-1/PD-L1 blockade therapy and a MAO-A blockade therapy were performed and validated.

One of a person's most seasoned and important occupations is agriculture. It continues to be an important source of land. Despite the planet's growing industrialization and urbanisation, agriculture still employs around 50% of the working population. Agriculture has historically been a significant source of commerce and has boosted the national economy. Uneven precipitation, the absence of key infrastructure components, and an unbalanced allocation of resources all contribute to the improper channeling of the process of agriculture advancement. Only in the water system's zones is the green uprising successful. Despite some government efforts, the small ranchers were unable to benefit from them. The entire research project depends on primary and secondary materials. Important data will be acquired through intensified fieldwork, including surveys, meetings with farmers, leaders of local foundations, and individual perceptions. The viewpoints covered in surveys include general land usage, crop land use, farmer development strategies, manure use, education, salary, and concerns related to agriculture. I acknowledge with gratitude and devotion to the almighty God whose grace and blessing accompanied me throughout this study and helped me to overcome all difficulties. Any accomplishment required the effort of many people. I feel it is a great privilege to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all who directly or indirectly have given valuable guidance and timely suggestion throughout this thesis work. Finally, I extend my grateful thanks to everyone who helped, supported and encouraged me throughout this enterprise.

This research design was used to describe the present status or condition of the topic investigated procedure in the conduct of the survey was observed with the help of the school heads and head teachers of the schools. The data were gathered through questionnaires and informal classroom observation. The frequency percentage mean was used to interpret the results and the p-value was used to establish the relationship between the teaching profile and teaching practices.Based on the findings of this study, it is concluded that Beauty Care teachers are new to teaching Beauty Care courses but they are committed to embracing the new course. However, some of them are still using traditional teaching and their teaching level performance is not above expectation. Likewise, educational attainment is one factor affecting their teaching performance. More so, teachers fail to give effective motivation and full assistance to all slow learners in their classes. With this, a short-term training program is proposed entitled "Enrichment Training Program for Beauty Care Teachers".
