Can 45-year-old divorcee and lifelong New Yorker Sandy Nussbaum, find happiness-and a man-in a small seaside town on Long Island's East End? Things look promising when she leaves behind the disappointments of the big city and lands a job as an assistant librarian in Pilgrim's Landing-especially after she encounters her own personal Neptune, a handsome fisherman named Gian-Carlo Messini-better known as Messi-who enters her life with a clap of thunder while holding a copy of Moby Dick. But things in this small, seemingly idyllic village, quickly take a sinister turn when Sandy discovers a dead body at the library late one night as she's getting ready to go home. Her utopian fantasies of peaceful small-town existence shattered, she finds herself at the center of a much more complicated and treacherous world than she ever imagined existed when she left behind New York City subways and overly-aggressive rats. Jewish, liberal, brash, curious, confrontational, Sandy not only finds herself at odds with her new pilgrim neighbors in a clash of culture that is at times laugh-out-loud funny, at times merely unsettling, she finds herself a suspect in the murder. Worse, as the bodies pile up around her, the shady local sheriff appears to have little interest in finding the real killer, and Sandy finds herself not only a suspect but a potential victim-and no one, not even the sexy and mysterious Messi, who has promised to keep "her sweet ass" safe in these shark-infested waters, is above suspicion. Especially after she discovers that Messi's last girlfriend "accidently" drowned at sea, and rumors of foul play continue to swirl around him.

Woody Guthrie, songwriter, poet and Oklahoma folk hero, was a champion of the disenfranchised, of minorities, of the working class, and an advocate for justice, using his music to speak out against injustice in all its forms. His love and understanding for the common man, for the blue-collar backbone of America, is a consistent theme throughout his canon. The Woody Guthrie Poets is a group dedicated to memorializing in poetry the history and culture of working people and perpetuating the ideals and goals of equality for the working class. They hope to raise world consciousness of the labor and political movements and to give commentary on the social and political environment in the 21st Century, as Woody Guthrie might see it. This is their 2023 anthology.

Federico Grisone published Gli ordini di cavalcare (The Rules of Riding) in 1550, the first manual on manège riding, the ancestor of modern dressage. The Ordini codified a half-century of oral tradition of teaching this art and was a best seller and a welcome aid in educating noblemen at European courts in the art of the manège. Elizabeth Tobey and Federica Brunori Deigan have prepared the first modern edited English translation of the Ordini, which should interest Renaissance scholars and equestrians, and includes an introductory essay, a glossary of equestrian terms, and the transcription of the 1550 Italian first edition.Grisone's treatise and the riding masters trained at his riding academy in Naples, Italy, spread the practice of the art of manège riding to courts throughout Europe. Twenty-three Italian editions of the text were published between 1550 and 1620 and the treatise was translated into French, English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Many of the concepts Grisone discusses in his treatise--such as developing contact between horse and rider and collection in the horse--are still major tenets of modern dressage riding. The haute école or High School movements of classical dressage are still practiced today by such traditional academies such as the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria and the Cadre Noir in Saumur, France.

The present edition of Yogadarśana of Patañjali is the first ever work that includes Sanskrit Text of Patanjali, Vyāsa Bhāṣya, Bhoja Vṛtti, Roman Transliteration, and Scientific translation in English language according to Vyāsa Bhāṣya and Bhoja Vṛtti. In this work, it can be observed that in a brilliant, concise, and descriptive way, Patañjali used words to express one of the legacies of Yoga. After millennia, his singular work is still reverberating majestically. The term engineering can be understood as a set of technical and scientific knowledge that aims at its application and implementation so that a certain function or objective can be realized. Patañjali's work is a "Science of Psycho-engineering", because it is a methodology that leads to human liberation. Another fundamental factor of his work is perpetuity; only the Truth has this power of survival over time and space, as it sustains itself. The genius of Patañjali and his commentators lies in profoundly experienced wisdom, that is, not only words from intellectuality, but also by the real verification of the proposed path
