If you liked "Woman Evolve: Break Up with Your Fears and Revolutionize Your Life" by Sarah Jakes Roberts then you'll love this book.On the 12 of April 2021, my life changed; I went through this storm that stole a lot from me, my strength, my confidence, my joy, my sanity, and my ability to be a mother, a daughter, and a companion. The goal of that storm was to steal, kill, and destroy anything good in my life. But then, Jesus the Messiah stepped in and gave me the power to regain and restore everything that the storm had taken from me. God whispered to me "smile woman".There were times when I tried to smile I told myself, why smile now when you know you will cry later? Sadness would overpower me, and I cried for days. I would not eat and be so afraid to go to bed at night, and when I did go to bed, I was scared to wake up because life seemed hopeless. But, every time the whispered, "smile woman", I smiled and one day, God whispered to me that I am a woman of grace, a woman of power, a woman of great blessing, a woman of joy, He told me that I am a woman of fire and deserve each of these smiles, so I smiled my way through the storm.

Bodhichitta literally means 'mind of awakening'. It is the awakening of compassion and wisdom - the great compassionate wish for the wellbeing of all sentient beings, combined with the understanding of how that wish may be fulfilled.Ringu Tulku discusses the profound ideal of bodhichitta in an accessible and friendly way that brings it within everyone's reach. He points out that bodhichitta is a natural extension of our innate wish to work for our own wellbeing and holds out hope for each one of us to awaken our Bodhichitta within.

The eldest of five children, Pieter Laning was born on 2 Feb 1914 in Groningen to Bart and Janna Laning. They lived above the family's bakery on the main road to Friesland. On leaving school Pieter joined his father to work in the bakery. When the war started in 1940, Holland was quickly overrun as the Germans invaded by land and air, causing much destruction in the south of Holland and particularly in Rotterdam. As Nazi control increased, Pieter decided to join the resistance-whose role it was to frustrate and limit the influence of the occupying forces-to help with the anti-reporting campaign. He soon became a section commander attached to the national intelligence service. Towards the end of 1944, he was arrested by the Schutzstaffel (the SS) and imprisoned in Groningen, where he was held for some months, suffering torture and starvation. On 17 March 1945, Pieter and many others were taken to the nearby train station and crowded into cattle wagons guarded by the Dutch civilian police. They did not know where they were going. This is Pieter's recollection of the events that followed including his incarceration in the Neuengamme Concentration Camp, the bombing of boats in the Bay of Lübeck at the end of the war, and his stay in hospital to recover from malnutrition.

Okay, maybe hijacking an alien commander's warship wasn't her best idea... Genius computer geek Wren Traynor prefers her high-tech comp lab to socializing with people, and she definitely prefers it over crawling through the bowels of the huge Eon warship she's hijacked. When Earth's Space Corps blackmails her into this deadly mission, Wren will do anything to help her beloved sisters and save the Earth from invasion by the insectoid Kantos aliens. That includes entering into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the tall, hunky, and seriously enraged Eon war commander who captains the Rengard. War Commander Malax Dann-Jad is a born protector and has forged a successful career in service to the Eon Empire. Haunted by an early mission where he lost good warriors, he's dedicated to protecting his ship and its crew. Especially since his warship is carrying a special, top-secret cargo. But one tiny, infuriating Terran puts all that at risk when she commandeers his ship and refuses to listen to reason. When the ravenous Kantos set their sights on the Rengard--using sneaky, underhanded tactics--Malax finds himself with an armful of curvy woman. He and Wren must join forces to fight back, and are shocked at their improbable, intense attraction. But with lives at risk, both will learn that strength comes in more ways than one and love can hit when you least expect it, and that in order to survive, you have to put everything on the line.
