Sheriff Marvin Morgan is the retired sheriff of a small town. When newly appointed reporter Rocky Stone investigates the closing of the jail he meets with a man who claims his father was wrongly sent to the electric chair. Rocky calls on Morgan and with Morgans help clears up the case and brings the real killer to justice. Since the killer happened to be Morgans replacement Morgan comes out of retirement and puts back on his star. Rocky takes on a couple of cold cases and with Morgans assistance and encouragement brings them to a solution. When Morgan requests Rocky become his deputy Rocky takes him on and things in the small town begin to change. Rocky discovers a group on militant protesters are hiding somewhere in town. They plan on violently protesting the Vietnam war at the Columbus National Convention. Rocky and Morgan must find and incarerate them before they can cause death and destruction. Things become hard for Sheriff Morgan as the outside world begins to intrude on his safe and secure little town. Think of the real world intruding on Mayberry and you'll get a good idea of what's inside.

Martin is a classical trained artist but whose best works are a combination of sculpture and electronics. While the combinations sell well the classical works don't bring in much. Trying for a new approach he creates a 3 dimensional hologram. When he has a program called Realtime running while doing tests the hologram becomes a portal capable of taking him anywhere and anywhen. Martin can't pass up the opportunity to meet his hero Michelangelo. While in the past he meets Cristina who's beauty and warmth become his muse and he slowly begins to prefer 1600 italy to the present. In the present his art gallery owner and friend Arthur, discovers the machine and uses it to "discover" lost works of the masters making himself very wealthy. The Temporal Correlation Vector Transport Device is now fully functional. As Scott and Don admire their creation they realize the possibilities and possible consequences. But with care they expand their journeys going to see Lepetomain in France, they get kicked out by the way. They meet Ben Franklin and Abraham Lincoln, one at a bordello, guess which one. They spend a week with a young Abe Lincoln and become friends with the residents of New Salem. Scott as the primary inventor takes trips upon trips sometimes going on three at once. His final trip takes him to Rome as an old man and when he is trapped with Pliny at Mt Versuvias it takes it's tole on them both. Now it is up to Don to carry on with his new friend Honey Deau. Don is depressed due to the loss of his friend but this is a time travel novel so their is a good chance he'll see him again on one of his and Honey's trips. This novel was researched thouroly to present a tale that has the feeling of times past. With humor, insight and exciting characters it's a warm and wonderful novel.
The original group of the Guild of Travelers is passing the torch to the next generation. With new blood comes new ideas and the guild takes on new challenges. Don and Honey are off on an adventure to the Middle Ages. While traveling they meet Constance, the Duchess of Brittaney. Honey presents her with a broach that will show up as an important artifact years from now. Together they become masters in the Guild of Jewelers which becomes the springboard for the Guild of Travelers they start in the future. After hearing so often about monseur Pujol she wants to see him for herself. She decides to go with Don dressed as a man. At the Moulin Rouge they see more then just Pujol but many of the acts that were presented. Jugglers, Opera singers, tight rope walkers, etc.. All are described for your enjoyment. Later they go on a rescue mission to bring Scott home. He wasn't killed in the volcano after all and was saved by Pliny's captain. The rescue mission is ON. What happens once Scott is rescued and how he adopts a son and eventually gets married is all inside. There is a marvelous trip to the worlds fair where you get to meet a young Harry Houdini, and things get a little confused when Scott from the past comes through and wants a party before heading off to his ultimate demise in Rome. It's the same trip they rescue him from, Honey and Don want to tell him but that might change things so with a heavy heart they through the biggest blow out party they can. Before Scott heads out though he helps them discover a burnt out village on their property. What becomes of that will be found in later books.

When God created the last of his angels he got distracted momentarilly. The result was the runt. Short, balding, wings asquew he was not what God intended. There was something about this angel though that God appreciated. He had the faith and love of a child. He also made quite a few mistakes. Lucky for him the mistakes usually took an interesting turn. The rest of the angels except for Gabriel get a little fed up with teachers pet. When God has to go to report on the system under his control Satan decides to take the runt down a peg. The runt is run ragged and even Gabriel is as well. God is gone so long that Satan is convinced he's not coming back. When he decides to take over and proclaims himself God, Gabriel and the runt team up and fight. God returns and defends his rightful place with Gabriels and the runts assistance. Gabriel is replaced as first angel and the runt is given his greatest dream. To become a human and live amongst them. Arriving below as a child of ten he lives with Joseph and Mary. He learns to be a carpenter and when they go into town to see the profits the runt scoffs at what they have to say. He sets the record straight and becomes the most sought after prophet. When one of the prophets sets the runts family home on fire the runt travels alone and preaches for the next ten years. At his last stop he runs into Satan again who was cast out and is now advisor to Nevuchadnezzer. The runt is tortured and humiliated but never forsakes God to the point the people turn to God because of his faith. A humorous tale of faith and what angels are really like,
