The topic of women in ministry appears to have been made controversial over time.It has been merged together with topics about gender rights and equalities.It appears that debaters of the topic may have forgotten that the matters of human affairs--gender wars, women's rights movements, and other equality struggles--are far removed from the matters of heavenly affairs where God is the overseer.Positions are given in churches, and there are concerns that women are being excluded from these positions. The question to ask is: Who is confirming the posts? "Crack and Back" is a story of how I was entrenched in a life of drug addiction, my drug of choice being crack and the depths it took me. I share about my introduction to drug use and the gateway drugs that led me to finally start using crack/cocaine. I talk about the places crack took me, the near brushes I had with death, and the situations and circumstances that only God brought me through. My house, my cars, my job, and my family were all things I lost from my addiction. I talk about the dark places I visited and the relationships that were destroyed by using crack. I was from a small suburban town 30 miles north of Baltimore City called Aberdeen, but all the good drugs seemed to be found in the city streets. I finally found my way to them, even though I was raised in what was considered a friendly small town. So that is where I went; Baltimore City - the city I wound up in feeding my drug habit. My drug addiction took me to my rock bottom which led me to finally gain a relationship with my savior Jesus Christ.After finally starting to build a relationship with Jesus, I still wasn't quite done using drugs. Every time I fell back into my addiction, the life beating I received would always be worse than the previous. I was like a dog returning to his vomit. It took what it took for me to finally see the light, and then the change began; and my life started to get better after checking into a recovery home in California. I had to come to the West Coast to finally hear the message of recovery. As long as I stayed on the East Coast, my only answer was more drugs and alcohol. Familiar surroundings were part of my dilemma. God knew what it would take for me to finally take his love seriously. I was able to get a brand-new start in life once I arrived in Long Beach CA, and for that, I am truly grateful. That's when the "Back" portion of my story starts, and it is good to be "Back!".

I could not believe that I had landed myself in a blue jumpsuit and cell at Cook County Jail. I had never been exposed to anything like this and never knew that women even went to jail. I had traded my freedom for three hots and a cot. I found myself in serious trouble that would last for quite some time. I was not a religious or spiritual person. Although I attended all Catholic schools, God had met me at twenty-sixth in California, and that was the beginning of my relationship with Him. All the time that I thought the innocent rappie was there for me and that I would go home after trial, I actually was there to set him free by telling on myself. I still got a blessing, and everything worked out for my good. I am a better person because of the experiences that I endured!

There are a few truths that are woven throughout this book. In a way, it is also a story of my own life.First, realize that life is difficult and very complicated; however, all you need to know about how to succeed is stated with assurance in Psalm 1. Read it. Meditate on it daily. Heed it. You will succeed. There may be times in the first, second, or third quarters of life that you may feel like a failure; but if you continue reading, heeding, and meditating on the principles of Psalm 1, you will get back up on your feet and go on with success. At the end of the game of life, you will be successful, ultimately in eternity.And if you read daily, heed, and meditate on the book of Proverbs, you will gain wisdom. You will be wise, knowing that all wisdom comes from God and only from God.The good news from these truths, absolute truths, is that it will be well for you. It will be for your own good. There is no other way for you to be truly wise and succeed in life.Therefore, reading the Bible daily, to keep these truths in your mind, is the way to be wise and successful!

Cherubims, what are they? What did God do with them? They are a mystery even to Bible scholars. Cherubims are first mentioned in the Holy Bible at the end of Genesis Chapter 3. In Exodus, 2 small models of Cherubims are on the Ark of the Testimony (Ark of the Covenant).The Ark of the Covenant was first put in the Tabernacle in the most holy place. Later when the Temple of Solomon (Temple of God) was built, the Ark was put in the most holy place, or Oracle. Solomon made 2 large models of Cherubims within the Oracle of the Temple.Cherubims are not imaginary figures. They are not angels. They are not mere ornaments. God used them mightily! David saw God ride and fly on a Cherub! Ezekiel saw four of them! He called them 'living creatures' before he knew their name. God used the Cherubims to fight for Israel in the Old Testament. Will God use them again?
