Where would an independent, redheaded, suburban American woman bump into a fiery preacher man from Nigeria? How did sparks of both attraction and anger start to fly right away? Can a deep friendship or even a romance begin to form between people whose lives are so radically different in most every way possible? Little did they know that they would remain connected for many years ahead, even though they would live on different continents in a time where there were no computers, Internet, or cell phones to connect them. Miracle on Julia Street is the story of their relationship, as told through their correspondence and the author's journals. Spanning more than a decade and two continents, their story is one of faith, discernment, trying to navigate cultural differences, and ultimately trusting a good God for the outcome of their lives. Is it a friendship? Sometimes. Is it a romance? Sometimes. Could it ever become a marriage? Miracle on Julia Street will keep you guessing to the end.

A Kingdom for Us was written to answer questions that everybody has. Is there really a devil, and what can he do? What is the big deal about praise and worship? What is the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and do we need it? How do you get the kind of faith that produces miracles? Where are we in the timeline? If you have wondered about any of these things, you are not alone. This Bible study was designed to help all of us understand what is going on.There is a Kingdom and Jesus is the King. Jesus tells us that the Kingdom is coming and also that the Kingdom is within us. This would not seem to make sense unless you realize that Jesus is speaking of both physical and spiritual kingdoms. Either way, the Kingdom brings heaven on earth. Wouldn't we like to have some of that? This is good stuff, my friend. If you are a regular, nonreligious sort of person that just wants to know the truth, even someone who has never read the Bible, then this study is for you. If you have some previous knowledge but aren't sure how it all works together, this study is for you too. Perhaps it will help connect the dots.

In less than three months, I will be ninety years old. Because of my excellent health, the only long-term prescribed medication I have ever taken is eye drops. My dear wife and I raised four great children, and I have impressive engineering career credentials and extensive private pilot experience. Ironically, I narrowly missed becoming an MD. I also narrowly missed becoming the first man on the moon. Read this book. It tells how my moon miss was by two centimeters. This is my third published pro-Christian book. The following are my motivations for writing all three of these books.: For book one, I wanted to tell the world about my lovely wife of sixty-two and a half years, Jane. For book two, I express my engineering experience in rocket engines and how very expansive space travel can be. For book three, I express three points of view. First, how critical Christian life motivations are from youth on. Second, I talk about Lady Jane and my delight in our lovely Australian friends and their wonderful nation. Third, I discuss the issues of being a Christian and dealing with non-Christians.

My novel is divided into two parts, or eras. The first era is set in the 1920s, and the second era in the 1960s, when computers come on the market. My novel, or story, shows that no matter what the era, scammers and charlatans use the same tactics: lies (big and small), theft, shamelessness, and a tenaciousness in their criminal behavior that is almost incomprehensible to the average citizen. We recognize these traits in our modern-day politicians. But what, exactly, is a charlatan?A charlatan is perhaps more dangerous than the usual scammer because he/she believes in their products at a certain level while their rational mind rationalizes their criminal behavior and lies. Their lies and schemes easily envelope the people nearest to them. They have elevated IQs too. In essence, they can think circles around the average citizen. They have no real friends, just acquaintances that they can use.Lastly, the \ch\ in charlatan is pronounced as \sh\.

Our news media seems to have daily stories of individuals who have been abused by clergy, church leaders, and even church organizations. Countless numbers of formerly faithful people avoid church because they were abused, while others, who are not religious participants, avoid experiencing faith communities because of what they have been hearing in news stories. How do clergy, church leaders, and congregations help in the healing of these abused people and assist them to move beyond the pain of abuse toward healing and even forgiveness?Although the names and places have been changed to protect the innocent, this is the true but tragic story of a Christian man who had been abused by both parents, who were elders in the church, but found enough healing to fight to keep his mother from being abused three decades later. It is a story of a woman who abused her son in response to her own abuse. It is a story of a Christian man, healed from abuse, who chose to be a rescuer instead of an abuser. It is a story of a Christian community uniting in prayer and action to support a son as he helped his mother escape from the evils of sexual abuse. This is a story of a son and his mother who walk out of the wilderness of abuse and into a better, safer, more prosperous place of healing, peace, and forgiveness.

Little Seed was the story God gave me as I studied the "Parable of the Sower" from the book of Matthew. As the words from the story unfolded on paper, it conveyed the responsibilities we have to grow where we are planted and to encourage others in their own growth journey. Little Seed's story also reflects my childhood memories of time in our family garden and on my grandparents' small farm. Our family spent many hours together planting seeds, pulling weeds, picking up rocks, watering, and harvesting. We also enjoyed the many tasty rewards of those labors together.

Have you ever wondered why in the Old Testament God wiped out an entire population in a global flood except for one family? Or why, when giving the land of Canaan to the children of Israel, He commanded the destruction of the entire Canaanite nation? Does this sound to you like a loving God, or does He seem more like a vengeful tyrant or egomaniac, demanding service and worship? On the other hand, there's the God of the New Testament--Jesus, the Messiah. He is loving and patient, caring and selfless--not at all like the God of the Old Testament, right? He even gave His life for the people He loves. So how do we reconcile this picture of God, as seen in the life of Jesus, with the picture of God in the Old Testament? Are there two different Gods? Or perhaps this shows two different sides of the same God--with the Old Testament displaying God's justice and vengeance toward the sinner, while the New Testament shows His mercy and forgiveness. In this book, the author seeks to offer the reader an alternative perspective, one that is biblically and historically founded in recorded Old Testament events, revealing God's unconditional love for His creation throughout the Old Testament. As we explore Old Testament stories, it should become quite clear that the God of the Old Testament is just as loving, patient, and longsuffering--if not more so--as the God of the New Testament, Jesus Christ Himself! As you review the evidence contained herein, you may be surprised that you come to the same conclusion, understanding the consistent and amazing love of God throughout the history...and the future of humankind.

The book of 2 Samuel covers the adult life of King David, a life full of unexpected events which had ripple effects throughout the forty years of his reign. Each person has strengths as well as weaknesses, which proves that they were real people. David was said to be a man after God's own heart, and yet he still made bad choices. This book proves that you can never make any mistake that God cannot forgive.God looks for people with willing hearts, not perfect people. Are you willing to hear what God has to say? If so, join me in studying the life of David, and I guarantee that God will speak to you!

OVERTHROWING THE EVIL SPIRIT OF SLEEPLESSNESS is a powerful and dynamic spiritual warfare book for everyone or anyone who has been held captive by this wicked and evil principality of witchcraft. The Bible is clear; it is through the power of knowledge that we will be delivered. This book offers powerful spiritual warfare knowledge and insights that are taken from the Word of God and guided by the Holy Spirit. It has been practiced by the author and has brought about total deliverance from what she thought would have been impossible. The evil spirit of sleeplessness has had its cruel arms around the author's life for such a long time. After years of sleeplessness and restlessness accompanied by other demons and their attacks, the author finally found deliverance. It was God's powerful warfare sword that cut the evil and deadly witchcraft spirit of sleeplessness out of Sweda's life and gave her victory over this evil principality, in the mighty name of Jesus the Christ. Through her search for help and her experiences, Sweda came to realize that millions of people throughout the world today are under the power and control of this evil spiritual being known as sleeplessness. Many are crying out for help and for a permanent solution, as the physical remedies are merely temporary relief for some people. This book explains her cries for help and how desperately she herself had sought what she thought was help--sleeping pills, medications, therapy, and even going to the enemy, Satan himself, ignorantly seeking anything that could help her to have or get some sleep. Sweda tells it all in the book. And it is her prayer that if you are attacked by the spirit of sleeplessness, you too will find permanent deliverance as you read through the pages of this book. See also her other book, Breaking Free from the Shackles of Witchcraft.

Long ago, God spoke to the prophets about the events to come. The Bible foretold the rise and fall of kings and kingdoms. The Scriptures foretold the coming of the Messiah.Since Jesus came, many have believed in him. Now he is going to return. Jesus told his disciples the signs of his coming and what events would come to pass. These and other events are written in several books of the Bible. Are we living in the end times? Many people have looked at the Scriptures. Scholars have pondered the writings. Sorting it all out can be a challenge. It's like putting a puzzle together.Fortunately, there is a key that unlocks the mystery. Once a prophecy is fulfilled, it becomes history. Now the picture becomes easier to see when we look at the events in his story. The great puzzle is about the prophecies and the events, winding up to the end of times and the return of Jesus Christ.
