  • - What Is Your Choice?

The chapters in the book were meticulously chosen by the author. These are national occurrences combined with personal experiences. I had the impression that all adults at some point in their lives have witnessed something whether good or bad but decided not to intervene. Many of the readers probably have witnessed an unqualified person at work knowing the right things to say and were promoted far beyond their competency. You ask yourself if anyone besides you sees what is going on. Maybe from the book, a reader may gain some information on why he or she cannot seem to keep neighbors. A laundry list of possible behaviors may be of value to peoples other than the reader. From this laundry list, one may become enlightened and may see many of the listings are quite common to where they live. A highlight for the author is the mentioning of Black-on-Black crimes. There is a cry for help, even from the author's point of view. Our leaders are quite aware the problem is quite real, but there seems to be little to no emphasis on solving this issue. Racial discrimination are sensitive words. Many words mentioned in the book may have matured and are past their expiration date. As a Black man, I often believe these words are used too freely, and it seems to be a deterrent to the actual root cause. I did want all readers to know there was never a request for reparations. If there was ever a decision for reparations, what would be the criteria for Blacks with enslaved ancestors? The book also was written to stimulate those who knowingly have information to a solution to get involved and not to accept the encounter as "unseen." To all, our nation is changing-in color, in thoughts, and in protest. Do you see or not see the shift? What is your choice, and what will be your involvement?

These views continue my first book, or one could even say the next volume on social issues would be appropriate. So, this is my lens of what drives many social problems today. Through my lens, I see many faucets dividing and separating people in our nation. The author draws from personal experience, researching social events and other scholars by statue, experience, and education. My purpose is to deconstruct and present issues from the typical unique approach. Sometimes I believe the vote is too far to engage in crime, civility, governmental behaviors, family destruction, and other social issues. Like you and I, citizens of all races and national origins must demand prevalence in social oversight along with our nation's wealthy, affluent, and leaders.I believe many of the great thoughts of the people go unnoticed, and this should be acknowledged and reversed. My approach is through the lens of social science. Social science examines the relationships between individuals and societies and the development and operation of communities, organizations, and institutions. The concepts of social science are seen and broadcasted through social media constantly.

An increasing number of people are wondering, Are we getting to the biblical end-times? The answer is YES, but most people do not know that Muslims will precipitate it as seen in Christ's warning for Jerusalem that was based on Zechariah 14, nor do they understand the "roar." "The Lord shall roar from Jerusalem...the heavens and earth shall shake," Joel 3:16. That earthquake will be felt world-wide as it initiates the biblical end-times.God won't do anything without revealing it, Amos 3:7, and the next verse is the "roar" that He wants to reveal.Readers may click to look inside and scan the topics that show the Bible is trustworthy. Based on the 2nd and 3rd topics, this author predicted war with Iran before 9-11. The reader has much to gain with relevance to the news and readiness.

"Thunder in the Wind" is an historical novel about the deculturization of reservation Indians in the late eighteen hundreds. The story shows how the Assiniboine, and one family in particular, dealt with being subjected to an Indian Bureau that subscribed to the ethic popular at the time of "white man's burden."The main character's response was as confused and counterproductive as everyone else's. For quite a while he was lost. Those today who are also experiencing the annihilation of their culture can understand the direction he eventually took while at the same time empathizing with the direction his mother took. She wanted to accept subjugation, the surrender of her culture and heritage to keep her family intact. Her son's rebellion used tactics similar to those used today by those who leverage fear to terrorize opponents into submission. How things turned out and how he resolved his conflict with his mother showed how universal the problem is. It is an allegory of our times.

The Legendary Aubrey Durrell is a book about a young man who grew up in Empire, Georgia, a small community in central Georgia. While Empire is a real place, it is vastly different from the place described in this book. It is a very small community with no more than 400 residents and one lonely caution light that lets you know you are there. At one time, many years ago, Empire had its own school, as did other communities such as Union Hill, Roddy, Chester, Chauncey, and other communities about the same size as Empire, and it was this thought that what if those communities had developed differently and still had their schools today. This story tells how life would have been through the eyes of Aubrey Durrell, a talented young athlete and musician who loves his hometown and takes the values of hard work, faith, and loyalty to family and friends with him wherever he goes in his life. The story follows the life of Aubrey and his teammates, who fight for athletic supremacy with other small communities-especially Union Hill, their biggest rival. We follow him through his college career and his marriage to a girl he met in college. Along the way, he falls in love with his high school sweetheart, who ends up breaking his heart, and deals with life's struggles and temptations, all while staying true to the values taught by his parents in Empire, Georgia.Tony Byram was raised in the small community of Empire, Georgia, in the 1970s and left in the fall of 1979 to attend college at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Upon graduating from Mercer in 1983, he began a teaching and coaching career that lasted for 36 years. He was a successful high school football and baseball coach for three different high schools in Georgia. No matter where he worked or lived, he never forgot the values of hard work and honesty that were instilled in him in Empire. He is married and is the father of two grown children and a proud grandfather to one, so far. It is his sincerest hope that by writing 'EMPIRE KNIGHTS: THE LEGENDARY AUBREY DURRELL' he can relate to small towns everywhere and pay tribute to his own upbringing and sense of belonging to someplace special.

It is time to move on in this book series of Random Thoughts. This journal continues to be a word of encouragement to those with mental illness or to those who know someone with mental illness to follow a path that perseveres to a relatively happy life. A happy life needs good thoughts. Random Thoughts on Love is a book of good thoughts. In reality, it is a struggle in my mental illness to think of good thoughts. I had to commit myself to making the choice. To make the choice, it began last year when I heard that the best way to start off my day is to greet the Holy Trinity. I have done that ever since and it led me to writing about thoughts on love. In mental illness, any thoughts of love exist very minimally. But it is possible to change this by choosing to make the change.

"Innerlight's; Eat and Drink My Words"I wrote this book over a span of many years. I hope my book will inspire others to write about their innermost thoughts. My book covers a wide range of subjects. My poetry reflects my innermost self of a lifetime. I have come full circle, embarrassed God and forgiven those who hurt. Grace Maier Crook lives in south-central Wisconsin She belongs to an online writing group. She has written hundreds of poems from 1980 till the present day. Her work covers the human condition. I wrote this because it helped me cope with the loss of my husband. Also my word art. My words are my own, my thoughts are my own "love all of me not just part of me" I believe my book will encourage others to open me to go through the highs and lows.
