SUDDENLY PANTHER AND HAMISH APPEARED AT THE SAME TIME DEMANDING WE HURRY UP AS BREAKFAST WAS BEEN SERVED. PANTHER JUMPED INTO MY ARMS AND SAID. "COME ON ADAM EVERYONE'S WAITING AND WE HAVE THINGS PLANNED FOR THIS MORNING, AND WHY IS IT YOU ARE ALWAYS THE LAST TO APPEAR." "I AM SORRY BUT MARY AND I HAVE BEEN TALKING." "YEAH, YOU'RE ALWAYS TALKING, CHATTER AND MORE CHATTER." "THAT'S ENOUGH FROM YOU YOUNG MAN," I SAID AS I DROPPED HIM ONTO THE CARPET WHEREBY HE AND HAMISH SCAMPERED INTO THE DINING ROOM INFORMING THE REST OF THE FAMILY WE WERE COMING. I LOOKED OVER AND SAW FATS WHO HAD A BIG GRIN FROM EAR TO EAR. I THOUGHT WHAT'S HE GOT TO BE SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS TIME OF THE MORNING. PERSONALLY, FOR MYSELF I DIDN'T FEEL IN THE MOOD CONSIDERING MARY WAS INTERFERING IN MY THOUGHT PATTERNS MAKING ME WELL AWARE THAT I WOULD NEED TO TELL THEM WHAT SAINT BERNADETTE DISCUSSED WITH ME. I DECIDED TO SIT AND GET BREAKFAST OVER WITH AND TRY AND FIND A SOLUTION. IT WAS TIME TO FIND A SOLUTION I NEEDED TO SET UP A DIALOGUE WITH MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY ESPECIALLY NOW THE GEESE ARE FLYING AROUND. WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT, WHY?

John Young whom we now know is renamed Adam the Lonely joins his extended Family. After a few silent moments, Panther calls out and asks Adam a question. "What does immortal mean?" I answer, "living forever, incorruptible, I suppose." Hamish calls out, "What's that actually mean though." "well, it means our bodies don't decay or rot, we live forever like we do today in eternity." "Then Adam, tell us why down on earth do earthlings bother about all the preaching associated with Gods and Deities? Creating fear over sin and all that other stuff like devils and hell, Purgatory, Limbo and the garbage about Angels and Heaven?" I give a big sigh and say, "Gee you guys the questions seem really dark this morning, what's brought this on?" Panther stares directly into my eyes and says, "We just want to know the truth. You know down on earth animals were not able to talk with an earthling but up here we all speak to each other now that's weird don't you think?" I nod in agreement and say, "You know guys when humans first were established on the earth they had no language to communicate with each other and it was the various sounds made by animals that were taken on board with humans and they with a more balanced mind were able to take animal sounds and make words from them. So you see all animals gave to earthling the gift of the gab. It didn't take long for earthlings to realise that cats and dogs could manipulate earthlings to be their nanny and that hasn't changed since we came to "The Wilderness Park" we are still your nanny." "Well then pipes up Panther, we can't be that thick after all if it is animals who started off language to help earthlings exist." I nod in agreement.

  • - The Story of George and Jennie Lonnie
    av Ian Southwell
    175,-

"Our hearts were greatly cheered when our first soul sought salvation. This dear fellow had travelled all the way from Melbourne in search of the gold that perishes. He failed to find this, but found instead the pearl of greatest price!"So wrote George Lonnie of the earliest days of his work in Southern Cross, Western Australia, in 1893. He and his companion, Captain Charles Bensley, had walked 152 kilometres east over four solid days from the end of the railway line to that mining settlement in hot, dry, and dusty conditions. Having built their own accommodation and a meeting hall using saplings cut from the bush, hessian, and discarded wooden crates, it took seven weeks of faithful teaching, preaching, and caring for the needs of the prospectors there before that first soul sought and found the lasting treasure of salvation.Lasting Treasure shares the story of George Lonnie and Jennie Hammer, who made the same great discovery: lasting treasure more precious than gold-a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. First individually, and then as a couple, they shared their discovery by proclaiming the gospel and alleviating human needs through Christian ministry in the Salvation Army in Australia and New Zealand. In so doing, they experienced precious strength to face privations, illnesses, bereavements, and disappointments-as well as exciting times of great joy. The story of their resilience and courage is both challenging and inspiring."What courage and dedication the whole story is immersed with. It is a history largely lost to modern Salvationists, and so your recording of it is so important." -Major Campbell Roberts, New Zealand"George and Jennie Lonnie''s singleness of mind and commitment to their calling and the mission of The Salvation Army is truly inspirational." -Major Garry Mellsop, New Zealand

Following the death of her youngest son, Amie Templeton spent years fearing for her sanity. It took several more years before the fog started to lift, and she began viewing the world through different eyes. Amie went on a spiritual search, and with each moment of enlightenment, a bigger picture was gradually revealed. The picture became clearer the deeper she sought. Often, spiritual searching can be triggered by trauma, such as the loss of a loved one. It can begin at a time when we are at rock bottom, when everything that was considered of value is lost. At such times, we plead for answers. What is this life all about? What is there to live for now? There must be something more.Anchored to the Earth, it becomes natural to concentrate on the physical side of life, when it is instead necessary to expand our minds. We need to learn to live as spiritual beings, each of us possessing a little bit of the greater subconscious. We all have the same potential for spiritual growth, which leads to a clearer understanding of others and ourselves as human beings. Just how long it takes for these changes to come about depends only on how enthusiastically we pursue our goal toward healing and enlightenment.
