There are many shades of Conservatism in our society. That document forged over a period of months, is a work of genius that could only have flowed into the founders' minds as a gift of God. Considering all that has changed in the years since the drafting of the Constitution, it is a miracle that the document with only twenty-five enduring amendments is still a viable and vibrant guide for our nation.Conservative beliefs in individual freedoms are strongly supported in a number of sections throughout the book.Other important areas in the book are the portions that support the economic principles that have made the United States strong and prosperous. Conservatives know that Capitalism and the Free Market are the basis for the country's success, domestically, and in the world market.Conservatives believe in limited government, and there are sections on the budget, national debt, deficits, re-distribution of wealth, and taxes.Conservative views on the important issues of the times are explained. Each Think Note ends with a creative solution on how to overcome the problem.The book ends with a father (Sevareid) and his son discussing the nation's plight after visiting the Capitol. The discussion is focused on how America, currently at the tipping point to a communist state, can avoid such a fate. A Bald Eagle sails overhead, perhaps a hopeful sign for America's future.

Computers have now taken over our lives, with countries hacking one another all over the world. The older generation are unable to keep up with the new technology, and I consider myself an old dinosaur and have trouble operating a smartphone or logging onto the internet. In fact, when I arrived in Hawaii twenty years ago, I went into Comp USA and asked the young salesperson where the typewriters were, and he wouldn't stop laughing.Families are changing, with same-sex marriages, and while parents are both working, the children have no guidance, with drug use common and suicide rates high. Young people don't respect their elders, and crime and murders are taking place all over our country. Maybe if and when this pandemic is ever under control, this world will return to the basics, but I don't know.

Too many times we put our focus on what someone else is doing and we begin to question our own abilities. Our assignment gets overlooked because we think we're not capable or we think it is not important. I believe God wanted me to write this book. This book is meant to stir an awakening in the reader to stand up and be counted. God put thought into each one of us. He didn't create us to sit on the sidelines. We've got work to do.
