Rochester''s Redemption is a narrative description of Edward and Jane Rochester''s married life and the lives of their four children, up to Edward Rochester''s death. The narration intertwines with 19th century Britain-China Opium wars. Attempts are made to promote understanding of the destruction of opium addiction. Holistic opium rehabilitation is illustrated. Renowned painter Simeon Solomon and playwright Oscar Wilde are high-lighted for the sexual morality of the Victorian age. Jane and Edward Rochester empower their family members in selfless contributions to humanity. Together with their children, the Rochester family members enshrine their lives with the torch of devoted love. The novel, Jane Eyre, is a classic which has engaged readers for many generations, across time, boundaries and countries. Jane is the epitome of a strong woman, self-reliant and compassionate, who overcame her past as a tortured orphan child. Above all, Jane''s will decide her destiny. Positive, loving and respecting herself are the characteristics of her personality. Many authors have written sequels to Jane Eyre, but I have found none that narrated Jane and Edward''s family story. In my sequel, lovers of Jane Eyre will feel pride in their heroine. They will be able to follow the Rochester family members in their respective ways, and see their achievements and their stumbles as they make their journeys through life.

David is one of the most perfect characters on which to do a study of leadership. We can learn a lot from David's life. We can learn what to do and what not to do. I think both are important. No one is perfect and learning those tough lessons on someone else's behalf is as important as learning the more positive ones. David was God's anointed. He started as a shepherd and through God's leadership, he became a ruler of a nation and a shepherd over His people. David did not set out to be Israel's king. He did not set out to 'be a leader.' He was thrust into circumstances not of his making. He went through his own crucible time and time again. Through each experience he put more tools in his toolbox so to speak. Although not perfect by any measure, his zeal for God and faith in God became the standard that all future kings of Israel would be measured against. We can learn a lot from current and prior leaders, regardless of where we find them. Like the cook making a stew, you choose which ingredients and how much to use, and learn what works and what doesn't work for you along the way as you perfect your recipe.

In 2003, newly-elected Sheriff Frank J. Anderson held a St. Valentine''s Ball to bring people together. One of the special guests at the St. Valentine''s Ball was Congresswoman Julia Carson. The Congresswoman and the Sheriff had been close personal friends for many years. During the course of the evening, Sheriff Anderson read a poem that he had written for the special occasion. The Sheriff, who always preached love above hate, touched many hearts with the poem. As the Congresswoman began her St. Valentine''s greeting, she let it be known from that day forward, Frank J. Anderson would be known as "The Poet Sheriff". It was a title Sheriff Anderson warmly embraced.Born in Kentucky in 1938, Frank Anderson came to Indianapolis before World War II. During the interviewing years, this man has accomplished much. But nothing captures Frank Anderson''s good heart and keen mind like his poetry. What follows is a brief sample of a body of work that Sheriff Anderson has produced over the years. The peace officer''s lines and rhymes are insightful and unique. May they be an inspiration to others and help sustain Anderson''s mission in life to promote peace and love over division and hate.
