"If you don't build your dream, someone else will hire you to help them build theirs." - Dhirubhai AmbhaniThis book has been a dream of mine for many years, and really having the time to work on it was a great opportunity, during the worldwide pandemic. What really inspires me is spending time in the Word and also spending time in Mother Nature. This collection of poetry has been poured out during long walks in the local countryside , getting closer to God during the lockdown and listening to movements of the Holy Spirit. We can not take anything for granted and my interest in poetic form and self expression has been a long standing one. I also enjoy painting in oils, acrylics and photography. I believe the arts are vital for human evolution and can be very healing. I really hope that you will enjoy these poems as much as I enjoyed writing them and I am now more encouraged to write more. Getting things down on paper when there is a real crisis is liberating. I am glad that I can share this gift with my readers. Your feedback would be much appreciated, thank you.

This book of poems comes from an honest attempt to put the spiritual highs and lows of one person into verse but it also tries to find clues to living the life of Faith by following our great heroes. The poems also tackle some of the crises we have faced recently as well as the pain we all encounter through life. Wild Beasts and Angels is a strange title, so I should explain. In the Gospel according to St Mark, the temptation of Jesus is described as an experience linking earth and heaven, "e;he was with the wild beasts, and the angels waited on him"e; (Mark 1:13). Perhaps St Mark is trying to say that our Lord Jesus holds within himself both the things of this world and the things of heaven. The Christian seasons of Lent and Easter teach us about how to deal with the things of "e;the world"e; as well as how to embrace, with joy, the glimpses of heaven. Many of the poems are rooted in these seasons. This process has been joyful and has drawn me forward and upward every step of the way. I hope that you will also find some food for your soul.
