A Wolf in the Kitchen is the prequel to Jim's first book, SLED DOG GUN: AVIEMORE DREAMING. In 1987 Jim and Cherry bought their very first Siberian Husky... Hustler. On showing him to people for the first time, they were asked the inevitable question: "Is that a baby wolf?" A year later in the Summer of 1988 a small advert in a local paper changed their lives forever. They discovered the sport of "dog sledding." Over the next 15 years, more dogs were bought until they had eleven. What follows is the story of these years and is both highly amusing, and often downright funny. After much perseverance, and some frustration, Jim transforms these dogs into one of the fastest teams in Great Britain. With it came recognition that he never imagined, and he and his team found fame on national radio and TV and played a part in a major movie film. A lovely easy read that is suitable for all ages.

In the web of family secrets and love's enduring challenges, Regain for Mary paints a tale of deep-seated friendships and irreplaceable bonds. Three men, tethered tighter than brothers, traverse life's unpredictabilities, even with their contrasting backgrounds. But at the epicentre of their transformation are the women who captivate their hearts and reshape their futures. Foremost among these is Mrs. Smith, the unwavering anchor in Richard's stormy world, always offering wisdom, even if candidly. As Richard confronts his profound feelings for Mary, Mrs. Smith's forthright counsel and the ever-resolute footman, Mr. Downing, offer both a touch of humour and direction. Yet, while Richard wrestles with love, Aunt Sylvia remains the unifying beacon of the family, binding each member through every joy and tribulation. However, when one man's deeds imperil the tranquillity of the town and the unity of this close-knit family, will their collective past and unwavering affection be their salvation? Delve into a story where vengeance, romance, and concealed truths intertwine in the quest to regain the heart of Mary.

I've always felt an overwhelming sense of luck. Here I am, existing, against almost unimaginable odds. The sheer improbability of my being, of any of us being, is staggering. Yet, here we stand, shining brightly in this vast cosmic tapestry. Our very planetary system stands as a testament to our extraordinary fortune. And if that isn't humbling enough, consider the vastness of the black hole in Messier 87, a galaxy 50 million light-years away, its expanse overshadowing our entire galaxy. Is it divine design, sheer chance, or some other elusive force that granted us this existence? I'm eternally grateful to whatever power played a hand. How can one not marvel at the world around us? The birds, animals, plants, and the myriad wonders of both land and sea? Yet, as I reflect, I'm equally astounded by humanity's extremes; the marvels and the madness we are both capable of and often oblivious to. My poetry seeks to encapsulate this wonder, highlighting both our monumental achievements and our stark shortcomings.

Want to learn to cook? Don't know where or how to start? Try this!I am not a professional chef. I am just a food lover who has learnt to cook good home-food! It's taken me a while, perfecting each of these dishes to the point that they are repeatable. So, if I can cook these recipes, then so can you. You do not need a huge kitchen with endless cupboards full of stuff. Just a few essential things, like a pestle and mortar and a spice grinder, together they make most curries reasonably quick and easy to make; a selection of good sharp knives and a sharpener; a few metal oven trays, a few oven dishes, and a few pots and pans. I have always enjoyed good food and was fortunate to work in a job that kept me fit. Home cooking has always been a normal everyday pleasure and even after a long days work I would happily come home and cook a stir fry for the family in 30 minutes. Not only did it help clear my mind, it also provided a healthy meal after a tough day. When the pandemic struck, I was home like everyone else. So the radio was a constant companion during the long quiet days. Slowly, listening to talk shows, I realised how difficult it was for many families. How do we feed the family, every day, three times a day? The need to learn to cook became a serious one. Home cooked food is also healthy food, so to begin to learn has that added bonus too.So, with encouragement from family and friends, I decided to write My Lockdown Cookbook hoping I might help just some of those families who wanted to learn but did not know how to. If I can help some people, in some small way, to begin to enjoy home cooked food, then I will be very happy.

This is a story of evil that plays an integral role in a small town's transformation from a peaceful place to a terrifyingly selfish and corrupt town, only to be saved by the courage and honesty of a boy, Michael Brown, who draws his strength from the motto "Liberty and Justice for All." The town is saved from the Green Palm Way of Life by the young hero, but the shadow of evil lingers on in the reader's mind long after the story is over. The town's transformation is an allegorical tale of how America itself has lost its innocence as viewed by young Mikey who, along with the help of some of the town's people who refuse to succumb to the Green Palm Way, stands by the notions of liberty and justice for all and resists the encroaching forces of human nature that threatens the very foundations of humanity and American ideals.

This book is a somewhat unusual depiction of a difficult policy issue. It transcends almost all boundaries because of its constant change and its movement across many different participants. It was found attached to a range of policy topics, methodologies and approaches. Some of these were familiar while others seemed new. Interest in this topic was exhibited across the globe and did not appear to be delivered along with a narrow political agenda. While researchers tended to re-examine classic public policy literatures (such as those dealing with implementation, federalism and budgeting) they did so by raising unusual issues. But this was not typical since analysts are likely to emphasize similarities rather than differences in settings.

I have been crushed into suitcases and backpacks. I've been snowed on and sleeted on and windblown. I've climbed to heights no self-respecting coat should ever have to endure. I've ridden on subways, trains, and trolleys, flown in planes, and ridden in derelict taxis. I've bumped along on a donkey. I have felt like I was flying in the back of a pickup truck tearing across desert flats and dunes. I've waded into rivers and oceans and across streams on slippery rocks. I have even traveled on a Navy warship clear across the Pacific Ocean and helped steer it for just a little while. I've petted elephants in the wild and watched a cheetah hunt his weekly meal. I've climbed towers into what seemed to be the very clouds and crossed a bridge over a waterfall so tall and wide I couldn't see the end or the bottom of it. And more! It's been a lot for a coat to do! Join me in my travels!

From the "boots on the ground," often dangerous efforts to stop the horrid spread of infectious diseases on the Yukon and Kuskokwim, to pioneering efforts. Rescuing a badly aborted Russian girl from the Bering Sea and then a Medivac to Moscow led to shocking personal contacts in Russia, which directly resonate to this day. Rogues and Rascals abound in Anchorage.

In a world echoing the ancient tales Ovid's Metamorphoses, a tale unfolds of Perseus and Andromeda - an interracial love story written in the stars. Just as Perseus once freed Andromeda, Michael is determined to liberate Eliza from her cruel circumstances. As they venture through trials and tribulations, their bond deepens, leading them on a path neither could have imagined. From the depths of bondage, Eliza rises to become a force to reckon with, challenging the very fabric of a society that once held her captive. Eliza: From Slave to Plantation Mistress is a riveting tale of love, sacrifice, and transformation set against the backdrop of a world divided. Love, it proves, transcends boundaries, reshaping destinies and redefining power structures.

I spent the early years researching the topic. The goal was to teach them as I learned, and to stay one step ahead of my classes. I took them to see the experts at Key Bank and the Wright State University School of Business. As time went on, the experts came to us. The late Ellis Rowe (former VP, Mars, Inc.), and Theo Killion (former CEO, Zales) flew in from Jacksonville and Chicago respectively, just to share a few of their valuable hours for what they both found to be an invaluable experience. This book is written by a teacher, for teachers. Unlike other books of its kind, this one's not written by an expert in the field of investment financing. Quite frankly, I saw in this project, such a sense of urgency, that the need for it to be delivered by experts (whenever they became available), was outweighed by the need for it to be delivered in the here and now.Our Stock Is Rising is a metaphor that speaks not just to the disenfranchised, but to all the little kids in all the neighborhoods outside New York's famed Financial District. It says that we are not always too young. And that the things we are allowed to be challenged by in our youth, won't be the things that deny us a place at the table, as adults.
