'The Almond Tree is my first collection of poetry. Allthe poems were written during 2009. Before then I hadassumed that poetry existed in the past tense and relatedto historical emotions. Reading Karine Polwart's poemTHREE changed my mind. I wrote my first poem. TheAlmond Tree explores my sense of being in a time ofspiritual and technological trauma.'
