This children's book is about the history of the Cape Muslims who arrived in Cape Town (South Africa) in the 1600s. At the time, the Dutch were colonizing Indonesia. A resistance group was captured and banished to the Cape of Good Hope as slaves to the Dutch. This included Shaykh Yusuf of Macassar.
