Vacation time is over. A super powered stranger was seen near the Heroics' headquarters, so the team is being called back to investigate. Everyone is curious. Even the group's civilians want to get involved. Somebody's likely to get hurt.

These poems range from cute and simple nursery rhymes to poignant verse, and each is illustrated by a colorful drawing. The strange but lovable characters who portray the action and emotion will resonate with children and adults alike.

Each poem in this book is accompanied by a black and white ink drawing by the author. The poems, ranging widely in subject and style, include both rhyming and free verse.

The threat of villains seems to be out of the way for the present at least, so Aimee and her super hero family are off on a well-earned vacation. Heroic identities are set aside as the group gets ready for rest, recreation, and a few surprises. But Nika doesn't like surprises.

Aimee has been a superhero for a while now. She's getting tougher and she's growing up. The supervillains are all gone, and now all her team has to battle are ordinary criminals.Maybe being a superhero isn't so hard, after all.Except when it is--when people die, and friends fight, and even the grownups don't have all the answers.

Agent Cain says there's another super hero team, and the Heroics will be fighting them. Nothing personal; it's just another part of the whole public perception thing. But this new team is full of surprises, and things quickly become extremely personal.

Leaving her family, her old name, and her old self behind, twelve-year-old Aimee has joined The Heroics: a government super hero team. Fighting villains will be difficult, but fitting in with the other heroes may end up being even harder. The team leader is nice, but he's more like a teacher than a friend. The animal girl is not completely tame, it seems. The woman with the fiery powers apparently has a grudge against the universe. The super-fast boy lives at a different speed from everyone else. Then there are the others: a secret agent, a lady doctor, a couple of "consultants" from a comic book company, and a Japanese robot maid who doesn't even speak English. These are the only friends she has now; the only family.

'Eel' Kellerman had always had a funny way of looking at things. She even tried to make her bike into an antelope. She didn't care if everyone called her weird, or that only one person wanted to be her friend. She enjoyed being unusual. But then another eccentric girl moved into the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Kitty plans to take on a new identity and join the heroes. Lighter, for her part, has no intention of making any changes--but life never seems to care what Lighter wants.

The Heroics have to fight a new team of enemies, and find the situation getting more complicated as they take one home with them. Puppy seems to be more of a victim than a villain, but how can they be sure?
