Author Rose Wood brings readers into the circumstances of these questions in her two-story children's book, Monsters and Angels. Both stories show what a child feels when they believe monsters live in their closet or that an angel might be protecting them from danger. Yet Rose goes further into the faith of a child, showing prayer occurring when the main character is frightened but sees the truth behind "seeing is believing". As the child sees more of his/her protection through the grace of God, the child begins to believe even more of a Heavenly Father watching over him/her.

I loved this book!. Right from the start, it captured my interest. I really like how well you could sense the emotion and feelings felt by the characters. It really made me feel like I was right there with them. This book is perfect for upper elementary and even middle school aged children. The detail at the end of the story was perfect, it answered all of the questions that the title left me asking. I think this could be the first book in a great series.
