Right from school days I have been averse to English grammar and its permutation and combinations.An interesting trivia during College daysWhile joining College, English evaluation test is kept to assess each student's ability and then he/she is allotted to either Group A - D (high level) or Group E -H (Average level).Forewarned by my seniors, I deliberately downplayed my performance in the evaluation test, but just couldn't squeeze into 2nd group and was allotted Section D!Reason to downplay is Group E - H basic syllabus and can get good marks without sweating it out, while the first group was full of prose, poems, dramas and prepare as hard as you might, getting 50% itself was, for me at least, a herculean task.Given this backdrop, when my friend, an engineer by profession and litterateur by passion suggested I write poems I inwardly thought he had gone 'bonkers'.Finally I succumbed to his persistent egging on and have come up with the basic template of what I thought a poem is/are.In case I have blasphemized the 'Queen's' language - so be it. Minor retribution to what the Britishers did to us, right?

Being a sports-buff, I have keenly followed the happenings in the Olympic grand- stage with undisguised excitement and interest.Pre-1980 thrillers and 'history-creators' were hungrily lapped up by the various documentaries we were shown as part of awareness in my school.Post 1980 thanks to technology I have been able to savor the mouth-watering fare dished out once in 4 years and this forms the template for the narrative.I am sure it couldn't have panned out at a more opportune and contextual moment as I am sure we are all basking in the 'mind-blowing' resilience displayed by our guys and girls in the recently concluded 'Tokyo 2020' edition.

Tobacco traumaThis intriguing & chilling plot is to undermine the path originating from the 1st puff till imprudently you become an obsessive and 'naïve-sucker' chained and incarcerated by the 'monitor-lizard' grip of smoking.Stark remainder to the toxic and fatalistic 'Killer-habit' you unwittingly put into practice in a whimsical fashion and as years progress get drawn into a deep and horrible chasm destined to destroy you.Also being strictly apolitical, I am not going to go in-depth into the millions/trillions of dollars & pounds, the tobacco lobby is making at the expense of gullible, 'green and raw' guys and girls.I presume you have the common-sense to 'read between the lines'. BUT'Common-sense' seems to be not so 'common'.'Herd' mentality perhaps………It's a humble attempt to put-down in layman lingo the 'python-like' grip of smoking encompassing the individual, family and society at large.

The Christian High Holy Day of Pentecost is celebrated on the 50th day (the seventh Sunday) from Easter Sunday.[2] It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1-31).This narrative is my personal experience (for the first time) from 05/05/2021 leading upto the culmination on 23/05/2021.Hope it will benefit the readers as much as it impacted me.

Our Living Manna Spiritual food benevolently gifted to us in our prickly journey through the wilderness of LIFE. Spiritual nourishment divinely supplied, almost always sudden and an unexpected source of gratification, pleasure, or gain.Based on the Title, the assortment of genres chosen is based on my life's experiences and the lively interactions I have had with both illustrious predecessors, peers and others. The bottom-line motive of this initiative is to make the reader pause, dispassionately introspect and re-visit their attitude towards life and initiate 'course correction' if need be.

This collection of snippets is a humble attempt to look-over 3 stupendous snippets from the greatest book on Planet Earth - The Holy Bible (stimulating and inspirational book ever written).It is my considered opinion and thoughts which I have shared with you all and misrepresentation, if any, is purely unintentional and stems from the lack of knowledge of the tenets in the Scripture.Am taking conscientious efforts to rectify the malady.Hope & pray it helps you a wee bit in your spiritual pursuit - If yes, it's the greatest compliment I can ever imagine.God Bless!
