Wisdom for the Journey is designed to be a source of strength for every believer. As we prayerfully enjoy our daily dose of Godly wisdom, it will enable us to be more than overcomers. We will learn that we do not have to fear, fret, or tremble as we face the difficulties of each day. No two days are the same because each will have its unique characteristics. We will experience laughter, joy, sadness, weeping, confusion, rejection, and pain, but we must learn to confront each experience with unwavering faith. Every devotional is filled with the promises, encouragement, and enlightenment of our Loving Heavenly Father. These are the spiritual tools that will sustain us as we walk through the fiery furnaces, fierce storms, and dark uncertainties which the devil places in our lives; and is designed to give us powerful words of wisdom so that we may prepare ourselves for the future. Today is the beginning of the rest of our lives, yesterday is gone, so we must live in the moment and prepare for the future. We must not run and hide but gird ourselves with the armor of God that will enable us to stand tall and see the Glory of the Lord. We can be victorious, through Christ, and make a difference in this world. We can be like David and run toward our enemy with the boldness of Christ as we receive His Wisdom for the Journey. Pastor Danny began his ministry in 1973 as a Youth Pastor and faithfully taught young people for twenty years. In August 1993, he accepted the call from Kettle Creek Church in Waycross, Georgia. His love for God and His people has compelled him to preach the Word so that everyone can understand it. His desire is to teach the truth, live the life, and give to God. This book was written to help all of us develop a more meaningful and effective prayer life. It contains a collection of personal meditations. Some were born through grief, while others came from times of great jubilation and praise. Each begins with a sincere plea for mercy and ends with a positive declaration of faith. It is the unwavering belief in the never-ending love and the never-failing power of an Almighty God that compels believers to take all of their cares to Him in prayer. The Lord knows where we were in the past, where we presently are, and where we can be in the future. Through prayer, the ways of an overcoming warrior and the power to live an overcoming life will be given to us. For our words to be effective we must trust God and faithfully pray as Jesus did, "Not my will but thine be done."
