We're on Our Way is the story of a business. Mr. Stockdell was one of the principles of Paralex saw it through all the steps required to start and bring to fruition that misbegotten venture: writing a business plan, selling the idea of the product, raising $15 million funds, in the end, imploding through folly, greed, betrayal, and dishonesty.

Our current political system puts too much power in the hands of the few, often producing ineffective results. The Solution proposes a plan that restricts the size and scope of the federal government while increasing the direct influence of the people. The goal is to make government simpler with full public accountability.The book is divided into four sections. Two describe the various reasons why big government programs often fail and refute the reasons often cited for why they should. Parts three and four propose a fix to the political system: first, a number of Constitutional Amendments aimed at making government function in an updated version of the founders' intent. EVENT HORIZON tells the story of the decline of IBM as the dominant force in the computer industry and how my business career was sucked down with it. IBM's decline was caused by two factors: (1) its obsolete technology based on an "all roads lead to Rome" centralized processing, and (2) the changing computer industry culture where technicians rather than salesmen ruled the roost. I saw this as an opportunity to create a unique kind of consulting practice based on technical specialists who could more quickly replace the mainframe legacy systems than generalist consultants. These insights deeply frightened industry management and eventually led to my being driven out of the industry.
