Max Hawkins a former Staff Sergeant in the US Army and was called to serve in Vietnam; the Lord protected and brought me home in one peace. After an honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, I was employed at the General Electric Co. for 20 years and 3 months. First of all I think God for looking beyond my faults and seeing my needs, God never gave up by continuing to reminding me that I needed to be saved. One day as I was traveling on Volusia Avenue in Daytona Beach, Florida. God spoke the words of eternal life to me and ask what would happen if I died of a heart attack, as you know that can be fatal, and without warning. I broke out in a cold sweat because I knew what the end would be for my Soul, I was a sinner. But praise be to God for not giving up on me, I confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Jesus wonderfully saved and filled me with the Holy Ghost. I attended the American School of the Bible. God inspired me to write this training manual for all that wish to be taught the truth of the gospel. In 1985 I was appointed pastor of the Madison Heights Church of God In Christ. We built a new edifice in 1996 and continued to be blessed by the Lord. Shekinah Glory Ministries was founded, and we have been blessed and prospering in the Word and Soul winning. Thanks be unto God, for He deserves all of the Glory. Max has pastored the Madison Heights Church of God in Christ, Shekinah Glory Ministries for 24 years. He was saved in 1977, filled with the Holy Ghost and faithfully continued his walk in the Lord. Max was Ordained a Minister in the year of 1979, and Ordained an Elder in 1984. The following year October 1985 Max was appointed pastor of Madison Heights Church of God in Christ. The little church quickly became too small for the attendance. Max started a building fund drive to build a larger Edific in 1986; we were blessed of the Lord to build our new church which is where we now worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Max was appointed Superintendent over 6 Churches in the St. Augustine District in the year of 2005. We are located in Daytona Beach Florida with outreach ministries throughout the world by sowing of seeds in TV ministries, feeding the hungry, ministering to the homeless, nursing home, street evangelism, outreach preaching etc. Max is the founder and pastor of Shekinah Glory Ministries, located in Daytona Beach Florida in the year of 1997. Since then the Ministry has continued to experience growth and the manifestation of the power of God. Max is married to the love of his life, Abbie Hawkins: and to this union they have three sons, Benjamin, Bryan and Bobby, and one adopted son, David. And we appreciate what God has done.
