ADVANCED READERS REVIEWS *****As a musician, when I heard about Centofanti's latest book of lyrics via a friend, I immediately bought a copy and wow, what a marvellous collection of lyrics on so many vital subjects, like love, women, dreams, life matters, inner feelings...I will certainly ask the author for permission to write the music for the lyrics that reached me the most. *****When Amazon published this book, it grabbed my attention right away, from the impacting front cover to the vast number of lyrics (120) covering so many themes with so much love and care for us, readers, that I derived enormous pleasure from the quality of the musical poetry. *****In my personal view, all the precious lyrics in this book deserve the immediate attention of composers that could embrace the poetic concepts, giving them the music sounds most appropriate, in accordance with their own inspiration. *****I've read previous poetry books from Jorge Centofanti, which I thoroughly enjoyed, the majority of which have remained in my memory as a real treasure; for that reason I knew that ordering this new book would be a fascinating way of discovering another exploit of his talent. *****I admire many lyric writers, from Bob Dylan, John Denver, Paul Mc Cartney, John Lennon, Leonard Cohen...and I am now a devoted fan of this poet, unknown to me until now. ****I was given this book as a gift from close friends and I am very grateful for such a nice present, with so many beautiful, deep, passionate lyrics.

OPINIONS FROM VARIOUS READERS PRE-PUBLICATION *****I was given this book by my wife, as a birthday present and, I confess, as a poetry neophyte I did not think I would enjoy it; well, by the 5th poem I was already fully taken by the beauty and poignancy of each one, as they are so easy to relate to. I read the entire book till the very end, what a gift! *****I have read many poetry books in my life, and I always admired the genre, however, for me this book is at another level, both in terms of lyrical content and the unique value of the message it transmits in a variety of forms. *****This is one of those books that grab your attention from the first line, something that any lover of poetry will recognise, simply because it takes one by the hand on a journey of multiple themes, other worldly metaphors and enriching concepts. Highly recommended to poetry readers. *****In this book of 177 poems, Centofanti introduced amongst them a number of pauses, which he calls 'waterfalls' i.e. poems in prose, designed to create breaks that are, in fact, moments for reflexion on what one has read by then, after which we continue on a changing landscape till the next waterfall. *****It is clear that women see things differently from men, a truism, so, in my female capacity, I would like to say that many of you will love this book from cover to cover, because it is all to do with love. *****Love poetry, when it's really good, carries, at all levels, the purest signals to mankind.

Me hizo mucho bien leerlos.

OPINIONS OF VARIOUS READERS PRE-PUBLICATION*****I've travelled with the poet through his life journey, fascinated by the diverse contents and poetic forms he uses to weave a whole story, as well as the openness with which he approaches love, heart pain, struggles, and positive actions. *****This book is a treasure of vibrant poetry that moved me at a deep level, with such a variety of themes and subjects, all treated as individual masterpieces, that I do not hesitate to recommend it to any lover of Ars Poetica. *****There are so many excellent poems in this book about life, love, anger, passion, learning, landscapes, reminiscences, stories, travel, and much more, that I am full of admiration for Centofanti's gifts. *****I loved reading this book from cover to cover and very much enjoyed every poem, although my top selection is 'If a rose', Mercy, Sailing, Gratitude, Evil messages, Garden of Love. Ecstasy, Harem, Memories of the Alhambra, The fields of peace, Wanderlust, From the heart, to name but a few. *****Poems of a life Journey is a jewel from the land of poetry where the Muse, as the poet reveals in 'Functions', shares his morning shower, whispering in his ear the words or verses she encourages passionately. ****'Poets die, poetry doesn't', writes Jorge Centofanti in one of his poems and, to prove it, he has included 14 quotations from the greatest poets of all times, from Attar, to Rumi, Saadi, Rabia, Hallaj, Hafez, Khayyam...

In Italian, the poetic form named Sonetto, from which the English word Sonnet is derived, means 'little song'. And so it was with the earlier Provençal Sonet, from Latin sonare -sound.As poems for melodic singing or reciting A Cappella, the sonnets in this book are rhymed on the basis of assonance. As your eyes read and your mind absorbs the meanings and cadences, let your ears receive the sound of end words. These majestic sonnets regale us with inspired lyricism along the enriching paths of love and life, reaching our hearts with wisdom and deep understanding of all the subtleties in both subjects.
