It was in those days when year after year everything turned to mud. One day in a depressed state of mind, I gave up. If there is a God, would he help me? Time passed by. Months turned into one long day. Nothing changed. Then one day I called in sick, stayed home, and laid down. I fell asleep and a vision appeared. I was in a dark room, sitting in a wooden chair facing a closed door. Then a light shown under the door. A fear came over me. Someone was on the other side of that door. The door opened slowly and a warm bright light flooded the room. A man dressed in a white robe stepped forward stood in the doorway and asked me, "Am I the One You Are Looking For?" I fell to my knees and crying, I said "Yes". The last thing I saw was a small little boy holding hands with this man as they walked up the dirt path. That was me and He was the Christ, the Son of the Living God. In that moment I decided to leave what the world calls society and entered into a world of spirituality that only those who enter it can understand. I pray, you the reader, may someday walk the one and only path that leads you into the world of spirituality and leads you out of the darkness of today''s society and addictions. The book begins with Isaiah as a child, which is completely imagination. With his vision in the Temple the imaginary life of the man is built alongside the historical material in the Bible. This book does not differ between the two. Hopefully this book will help the reader to understand that the message in the Bible was given by a real man.  Dr. James L. Crawford received the doctor of Theology degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. He served as pastor of churches in the US before going to Venezuela with the International Mission Bd, SBC. In Venezuela he was professor of Old Testament and Hebrew in the Seminario Teologico Bautista for 31 years. He also planted churches. After retirement he planted Spanish churches in Oklahoma. He retired from pastoring at the age of 82, after 68 years in the ministry. He recently published his first book, “The Almond Branch and the Boiling Cauldron.Isaiah is listed in the Bible as one of the Major Prophets of the Old Testament. He has often been referred to as a Counselor to Kings. The purpose of this book is to build an imaginary life for Isaiah, in order to help the reader understand that he was a real man. He surely felt the criticisms and rejection of the people. When we see these prophets as real people with real feelings it should help us to better understand their messages. How must he have felt after a day of hearing the abuses of the people? What was his personal feelings as he preached the harsh sermons. 

Jeremiah was one of the Major Prophets of the Old Testament (Tanach), who has been given, in modern times, the title of the weeping prophet. This author has built a story around the prophet''s book in the Bible, establishing a living situation where one can follow and imagine the mission life and personal life of this great prophet.It begins with developing his story from his birth and childhood and follows his life shown in the Bible, taking your imagination with it as it builds a story around his personal reactions as it moves along. Hopefully it will help the reader to see this man, this prophet of God, as a human being, living a normal life while he is delivering God''s Divine message.Dr. James L. Crawford served as pastor in churches in Oklahoma and Texas before going to Venezuela with the International Mission Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). In Venezuela he served as professor of Old Testament and Hebrew in the Venezuela Baptist theological Seminary (Seminario Teologico Bautista de Venezuela) for 31 years. He also pastored churches and planted two churches in Venezuela."Retired" in 2001 he continues to work in Spanish Baptist Churches and helped start two in Oklahoma. Dr. Crawford received his university degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. His BD, ThM and ThD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX.
