This book is specifically about two of my children, Autumn Claire (Claybrook) Kriofske, Seattle; (Autumn in the book) and, Don Claybrook, Jr., Stallion Springs, California (Donny in the book), where he lives with my daughter-in-law, his wife, Becky. In addition to these two, the book is dedicated to all four of my children. That also includes Landa Patrice (Claybrook) Boutte, Corpus Christi, Texas, where she lives with my grandson, Jimmy John Bowman, and Liberty Jackson Claybrook-Reyes, aka, "Jack," who lives in Kerrville Texas with my son-in-law, her husband, Michael Reyes.

The authors upbringing in the Baptist tradition and the inculcation of that tradition in him by a Baptist preacher father, resulted in major conflicts in his life, particularly the traditions shortcomings off which Claybrook bounces his ideas. The novel touches bases with theologians from the likes of Mark Twain to Claybrooks teacher, Jrgen Moltmann, the worlds foremost Protestant theologian (Church Times), to philosophers as disparate as Blaise Pascal (also a mathematician), Socrates, and Shakespeare. Poetry has been used to reinforce his philosophy and heart-felt emotions. All the poetry contained herein is the authors.

Research has determined that confidence and planning were key factors in goal-setting techniques. The word confidence, as defined by Webster's Dictionary, is the belief in one's own ability. Success is defined as a favorable result-the gaining of wealth, fame, and accomplishments. The definitions listed in Webster's Dictionary of each key word helped develop the acronym: C + G = S

This book is written to enhance the possibilities of uncovering new ways to teach reading. This book, is addressing how teachers, college professors, community leaders, community business owners, officials and parent's should encourage and challenge their local school and local board of education to utilize the absolute best methods available to teach our children how to read. In the United States alone our children are completing Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd Grade and some even 3rd Grade, and these children are not able to read. Parents are expected to present inquiries to their child's teachers, school officials, and educational experts to design a learning method to improve our current system of teaching reading. The message, research and the structure of this book was written to encourage all parents, educators and school officials to think about "What If" there was a better and more effective way to teach a child how to read? Would you take on that challenge of giving a child the "Gift" of learning how to read? No matter the cost! Do you spend your days working with students who struggle to comprehend reading in literacy and content classes?
